Main plus is the view – if you book yourself into a higher floor facing the harbour front. The Empire Riverside is a modern and stylish hotel with a very good F&B offer. Even if you are not staying here, I would highly recommend a visit to their spectacular roof-top bar. Further plus of the hotel is the central location between the harbour (Landungsbrücken) and the Reeperbahn.
If you arrive by car the hotel has its own underground parking (against a surcharge). If you like to know more about the hotel and its surroundings have a look on traveltreasuresbymarion

We had a junior suite one the corner facing the Elbphilharmonie on the 12 floor. The room is modern und well maintained. Bed, sheets, etc. were very comfy. They were not able to provide a king size topper for our king size bed to get rid of the space between the matrasses. Windows are top to bottom which give you the impression that you almost sleep on the Elbe. The view is one of the most privileged in Hamburg. The sky lounge bar is large and stylish, however quite expensive, if you plan to go through three or four rounds of long drinks :-).
Downstairs bar war closed :-(
Breakfast was unavailable (we would not have made it in time, anyway...)

Spent 3 nights at Empire Riverside Hotel. Evereything about our stay went smoothly. Parking was conveniently in a garage directly underneath the hotel building. The check in was done beforehand online. The staff was extremely friendly, effective and welcomming.
The location is superb - on the edge of the Reeberhavn district and just a few U-bahn-stops from the main shopping district of Hamburg. Needless to say; The view from the our 18th floor room was just amazing...
Would love to come back.

Never learned how to control the aircondition (and no guidance on how to) so the room remained cold (by my taste) throughout my stay. Cold may also be said about the modern but sterile interior design. Breakfast not included in the rate so be prepared to pay another 23 Euro for the breakfast buffet - whichever, however, you will need if you had the microscopic servings in the restaurant the evening before. Great view, great location, friendly staff - but there is lot of places with much greater value for money

A wanna be modern luxury hotel in St. Pauli , but it is not except the location in St. Pauli with Repperbahn on one side and the Harbour on the other , a great location

I stayed frequently , Weekly , for years in Hotels and the rooms here are the worst furnished ever experienced. I simpley just dont get it , Why ??

The large rooms has two seating areas but both benches with the back against the Wall , there is not a single chair or couch in the spacious room making the experience extremely uncomfartable

The owner whom obvious put in a great deal of money to this property needs to have a Word or two with their Interior designer before Calling a new one to redo the rooms. Call me when you done and we might come back , until then much better choices in this great city

This was a business trip/ where we took our family! From start to finish we have zero hospitality or support. On arrival with many bags/ our tiny baby, we asked for support from reception the women huffed and no one came to help us. The restaurant was closed for food, with no children’s menus, and no kettles in the room. For breakfast I was seated in someone else’s seat holding a tiny baby, then we had to chase to find someone to help us reseat, reception are rude and unhelpful. There was only one helpful guy who spoke good English. We ordered a taxi 3 days before our departure and explained we needed a large taxi with our baggage to the airport, a tiny car turned up and we had to arrange our taxi! Slightly difficult with a tiny baby in my arms!!! They do not care about tourists, shame on you. The only thing going for this hotel is the views, unfortunately.

This is a luxury hotel with a good location close to the river. Upon entering the hotel you are struck by the dark, gloomy decor of the lobby. The following amenities common to many non-luxury hotels are missing: coffee/tea maker, pen and note paper, no mini fridge, soap only in dispensers, and no lotion. While the bed was good the room was too warm and there was no way turn turn down the room temperature. The room itself which had floor to ceiling windows on two sides was bright but the furnishings were bland. Breakfast was available at 29 Euros ($31) which seemed overpriced. The room was clean.

The hotel is located in an excellent area for exploring the city and is conveniently close to the river. However, if you're travelling with children, being mindful is essential, as the street behind the hotel may not be ideal for younger guests. The hotel's sky bar is iconic, but the prices for drinks were relatively high.

The lobby and restaurant of the hotel are impressively stylish. The staff members are generally polite and professional, although there were instances where the receptionist was slightly rude.

The room itself was very nice, but it's worth noting that the beds consisted of two single mattresses pushed together, and there were two single bed quilts.

We returned from the Elbphilanomie concert and wanted a glass of wine before going to sleep and celebrate the wonderful performance. The quiet bar in the hotel was closed ( 11.15pm) although there were several people still at the bar so our only option was the bar on the 20th floor. We were guests, but when arriving at the bar I was told that I had to hand in my bag. This was then counteracted by another member of staff , but by then I felt unwelcome and so we left. We went to reception to ask if we could have 2 glasses of wine to our room and were told that there was a bottle in the mini bar-we knew this but there were no prices in our room and so we had avoided this. The concierge then tried to find a price list and couldn’t. Eventually he gave us the price, verbally, for the red wine in our mini bar and we returned to our room to have the wine( a very good price actually). We had travelled for 18hrs to watch a fantastic concert in one of the worlds best venues and the end of our evening was rubbish. Massive thank you to the night manager / concierge but to the quiet bar staff member, and to the member of staff who demanded I hand in my bag in the 20th floor I am quite honestly horrified. Our celebration was ruined.

We booked the Empire Riverside a year in advance. We wanted to be sure to get a room on the 20th floor. These rooms have a split level and have floor to ceiling windows with a view looking south over the Hamburg harbor. Gorgeous view !!! Hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. We also had breakfast, since the hotel was full, it was very busy, but tables were available. A great stay when in Hamburg.

Is breakfast included? Where can I park and cost?
Answer from Kerstin Z
Hamburg, Germany
Dear ElDorado96, thanks for your request. The breakfast is usually not included in the room rate. Feel free to make your decision each day spontaneously and pay the cost of 22 EUR per person and day at departure. We do have parking lots for free in all the streets around the hotel. Furthermore there is a public garage underneath our building for 18 EUR for 24h. There is an elevator from parking to the rooms directly. If you have further question, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Kind regards Kerstin Zinda - Hotelmanagement
