Booked this Ibis Hotel, last minute, and not diapointed. Approx 10 min walk from the station, large room, brilliant shower, decent bed. Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. Only downfall no safe to leave passports in, or tea making facilities (tea making facilities doesn't worry me). Apart from that well recommened place to stay. Main town us approx 15 min walk away, take our walking shoes as the town is.huge, with interesting shops for all. Plenty of places to eat from indoor eat in snack bars, McDonalds etc to street vendors selling sausanges, Resturanrs with piano players the choice is yours. Shops open on average 10 - 8 pm Mon - Sat and some shops open Sunday's 1pm - 6 pm. Book excursions for Sunday's as it us a quiet day.

Super nice and helpful staff.
I like the hotel & its modern simplicity. What I regret most is old fashion accessories once available in rooms, like needle, thread and small scissors. I'd appreciate very much small cover on bed, that you needn't put bag or coat on the blanket.

For this leg of the journey I stayed in the Ibis Hamburg City. I was able to walk to the hotel very easily, even with the road works taking place in the city, in about 15 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel was quite modern and the staff efficient and professional. My bedroom was an up to date taken on the classic Ibis design, the Sweet Room. I specifically enjoyed the walk in shower. When I arrived I wanted to finally take in the view from the observation deck of the Elbphilharmonie and I headed that direction through the warehouse district. It was an easy walk there and back.

Overnight stay and just what we expected from an ibis. What did surprise us there was no kettles in the rooms, even premier inn has a kettle. Loved the blackout blinds and shower was spacious. We did try an evening meal not gourmet but not to bad .

I only have good things to say about both the Ibis Hotels in Hamburg, except for the mattress... That honestly it's one of the worse I have ever had the chance to try. I understand that some people like firm mattresses but I feel that it would have been softer if I had slept on the floor. It's curious that only in Germany that I had these issues with an Ibis, so I am wondering if it's a local thing?
Everything else was five stars, and it's just a shame that because of the mattress I could not sleep better and have a better rest.

This was one if the worst places I've ever stayed , the room was just ok and after we changed rooms it was also clean .
But the staff was ever so rude ,we'd booked a taxi through the front desk . The taxi didn't turn up and when we asked then if they could check up on it ,we just got a rude answer and they continued talking amongst themselves .
So we calleda taxi ourselves and when we got back they wanted pay for the taxi they had booked. Needless to say we didn't pay and also we found a different hotel.

Staff were incredibly rude at reception. We have no problen filling in all covid related forms but the receptionist was beyond unhelpful, disrespectful and rude beyond words. Room not serviced either. Mattresses old and barely usable. Staff did not greet us once going in or out. Felt like we were unwanted visitors rather than paying guests. Good location, though

The hotel is well situated for access to metro, central station and with a 20 minute walk you can access Hamburgs main attractions. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was adequate for me, but could be seen as quite basic in terms of facilities, no kettle/tea/coffee, etc, compared to the room cost. The bed was comfortable and noise levels OK. Breakfast was good but busy. There is a handy outdoor seating area at the back of the hotel.

The parking lot in the hotel is always full. Room was dirty and the toilet had mold on every tile. Furthermore the AC in the room was not working making the mold smell from the toilet horrible. Only ok thing during the stay was the breakfast. Very confused how this hotel is 3 stars.

Hello, yes, I would suggest leaving valuables / documents with reception, the hotel & area felt very safe and secure and the staff were most helpful, great city.
