Detailed Reviews
Reception:
The reception man whom greeted us at checkin was very friendly and helpful.
Room / facilities:
Room number 210 is on the 2 floor and is very clean, but extremely basic.
There was a flat screen TV, with a few english channels, in- cupboard safe, tea and coffee facilities.
The room does not have air-conditioning, no alarm clock, no pedestal fan, no telephone (to call reception), no refrigerator, no iron (although one is available for use at reception, and cannot be moved to the room). Pillows were quiet flat and not supportive.
The 2x single beds were firm but comfortable.
The room also contained a 3rd single bed, formed out of a foldable seat. This would only be suitable for a small child. We refolded this up to form a chair and allow for more space in the room.
The shower cubical and shower curtain allows for water to flow onto the bathroom floor, making it very wet, slippery and dangerous. All in one liquid wash is provided for body wash, face wash and shampoo.
The 3 very large windows open. Having these open, along with the entry door opened slightly, allows for air flow.
Parking: is available at an additional cost, this was not used during my visit.
Wifi: password provided, and is very fast and reliable.
Breakfast: is available at an additional cost, this was not used during my visit.
Conclusion:
Conveniently located as the hotel is close to the train Hamburg central train station (HBF) is an easy 650m walk. There are plenty of Arabic style restaurants in the area and a Lidl grocery store 2 minute walk away.
The nightly price is excessive for room features.
Map of the city area is available at checkin.
Letdowns:
Lack of air-conditioning, unsupportive pillows, no refrigerator, cost of hotel for bare basic room features. The hotel is not in the nicest of areas, but is close to the train station.
Location / Nearby:
Hamburg HBF train station, restaurants, supermarket, grocery/ fruit stores, other speciality stores.

Overall a good hotel with a few flaws.
When we arrived the receptionist was so tired that he could not find us in the register. In the end with a little bit of help he found us.
The room was nice and tidy and even we slept with open window we did not hear the street noise.
The breakfast is good and worth eating.
Definetly, a hotel I will recommend to others.
Frustrations was, that upload capacity on the internet was next to nil. Our friends (staying in another room on another floor) tried and I tried. Both in wain. Our friends went to the reception and asked for help but it did not work. That was really bad as both of us had important mails to send.
Secondly, I find it lousy that the hotel offers cheap factory produced bread for breakfast, when there is a good baker around the corner. The rest on the breakfast table was fine and absolutely worth eating. Then offer decent bread.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights. The room was not very large but clean. Also the bathroom. The fact that there is only a shower curtain and no shower cubicle in the shower did not bother me now. You're just there to sleep anyway. The breakfast buffet was not excessive but sufficient. From scrambled eggs, pancakes, various types of cheese and sausage, at least three types of jam, honey, Nutella, a large selection of tea, fruit, yogurt and cereal, as well as bread, rolls, croissants etc., everything was there.
The staff was friendly at all times. Since my wife had medicines with her that needed to be cooled, they were stored in the refrigerator of the kitchen without complaint, as there is no minibar or refrigerator in the rooms.
The only drawback why we would not book this hotel on another Hamburg visit is the lack of air conditioning. So you had to sleep with the window tilted, which led to mosquitoes in the room and the smell of the neighborhood's various kebab shops in your nose. Even the street noise was quite loud despite a room to the side.
The hotel is within walking distance of the main train station in a few minutes, but my wife said she never wanted to be alone in this area.

Terrible service! I asked politely for some ice in the hotel bar. The bartender asked if wanted something to drink. I said no, I just want some ice to bring to my room. Then he told me it will take some time. After that, he did everything else than giving me the ice. After a couple of minutes after running out of glasses to clean and lemons to slice, he finally gave me five small ice cubes and told me that normally you only get ice if you order a drink. You cannot imagine how GRATEFUL I felt 🤣 At least this gave me plenty of time to review the hotel's service.
By the way, the WIFI sucks too.

Was here for three nights this past weekend. The ‘superior’ room was looking very tired indeed, with a fair few carpet stains. The small corner shower had a shower curtain so it keeps touching you as you’re moving about. All of this was kinda forgivable as it was a drinking weekend and I just needed somewhere to rest my head. However, the service was really odd. I’ve stayed at the hotel a few times before and never had an issue but this time there were a couple of new guys who act like doing the very basics of their jobs is an absolute burden to them. It was vaguely comical dealing with adult men who were acting like sulky teenagers. On Sunday night I went to the bar to grab a drink before my friend came down and stood in front of one man (the only one there) who ignored me, reclined and texted on his phone. When I asked if I could get a drink he looked like I’d asked for a kidney. He asked what I wanted and I said a glass of wine before he said no (there was a bottle open about a foot away from him) but that I could choose a small soft drink. I did and he gave it to me unopened and without a bottle opener. Bizarre. The experience at check it was similarly odd.

We checked in here for a weekend in Hamburg. We were greeted by an annoyed team. Check-in wasn't actually until 3 p.m., we asked the head office if we could check in earlier on arrival. The head office said yes, we should ask if it was ready, according to the system it was ready. When we got there we were laughed at and asked how the head office would know this information, but we were still let into our room earlier. I registered as a member. The bottle of mineral water was not in the room as agreed, and I was given a small, still bottle of warm water at reception. The room was very small, the TV was really old with the worst speakers and a remote control that barely responded when you pressed a button. The shower curtain smelled and very thin in the morning. The slamming of the neighbors' doors woke you up and room service knocked at 9:30 a.m. while you were still asleep. As a member I book a double room as a couple and you only get a voucher for 1 person. for a free drink if you don't want the room cleaned. How are you supposed to book a double room separately as a couple so that both are members and both get a voucher, the same goes for the welcome breakfast voucher for 1 person! Location in the Turkish quarter, about 7 minutes walk to the main station. Nice location is something else, price/performance/reception team completely unjustified. Next time I would check in at the Motel One or near Alster on the upper side of the main station.

While trying to book a room, the site crashed at the final stages of the booking so we re-tried several times as the payment hadn’t gone through on the credit card. The next morning I woke up to 3 confirmation emails. Upon requesting for the 2 repeat bookings to be cancelled, we were told that there would be a 90% cancellation fee because it was a non-refundable rate despite their site being the issue and us requesting the refund as soon as we knew there had been a mistake. We tried to escalate this issue to management but have been ignored. Wish I had read reviews prior to booking - it seems like their service is notoriously bad. We haven't even stayed here yet but it has already put a damper on our trip.

Okay, so I never usually write reviews, but I don't want anyone to have a remotely similar experience here.
In terms of the basics. The ultra-fast Wi-Fi that was promised on the website was so slow that I had to resort to my phone's personal hotspot. Furthermore, the hotel's cleanliness is not exactly what you'd expect.
More specifically, I encountered a problem with the shower early in my stay, which led to flooding (partly my fault). However, despite reporting this to the staff, no action was taken to address the damp patch of carpet, except for placing a towel on it. The towel would turn brown upon contact with the wet patch (see image) due to the carpet, and after two days, the smell of the carpet made the room practically uninhabitable. I even spotted what seemed to be mould.
As my workplace booked me for one day less than my colleagues due to a communication issue, I was (fairly) told by reception that I'd have to pay to enter my room for the final night. The issue came about when, 20 minutes after paying, staff knocked on my door telling me that the room actually cost €149 more than I was initially told. I still can't figure out if I got scammed due to how desperate I was at the moment or if it was a genuine mistake.
I'm hesitant to write a negative review as, as you can see, a lot of my issues were my own or my workplace's doing. However, I don't believe they were handled too well.

A week before our trip to Hamburg, we were told that we had to go to another hotel in the chain because it was overbooked or had water damage. The staff weren't quite sure which excuse to use. So we were supposed to stay at the "die alte Wache" hotel. The hotel is very old and is the complete opposite of "the Niu Fusion". We booked very early, so it's likely that we got a cheaper price for the rooms at the time and that's why they wanted to put us in another hotel so that they could then rent out our rooms at a higher price. We were at a trade fair in Hamburg. But it's still a complete disgrace to do something like that!

Unfortunately, this hotel is not very recommendable! Location in the middle of a very unpleasant district. Not particularly pleasant to get there at night. The rooms are very, very small. In the bathroom there is a shower with a SHOWER CURTAIN! The room cleaning does not work at all. The TV works very poorly. The dishes from the bar have not been cleared away in 4 days. The beds are only made in a makeshift manner, the bathroom has just been drowned in disinfectant. The staff are very unfriendly, cannot say hello, questions are only reluctant to answer. You do not feel welcome at the reception! The bar should be open 24 hours, but the staff are overwhelmed with preparing 4 drinks and cannot even prepare the simplest cocktails. The only thing is the breakfast is completely fine and the staff there is very friendly. Have been to Hamburg several times, but a hotel like this is an imposition. Maybe as a youth hostel! Stay away

There is an airport bus that takes you to a nearby train station then you take the train. The hotel was only about a ten minute walk from the train station. The total journey from airport to hotel is around 45minutes.
