we‘ve been there for a night in a suite. from the outside the hotel looks quite normal but as soon as you enter you will be surprised. lounge atmosphere in the lobby with bar just next to you. design is about brick walls paired with design items and red samt sofas. the hotel room featured a bed in the middle of the room with bath installation (also free in the room) just next to it. huge tube, floor heating, office desk, mini bar, safe all in the remarkable large room...clean, quite and just next door to Reeperbahn. A place to come back... note: breakfast buffet closed at 9am but more expensive brunch buffet was of course available

From check in to check out everything was flawless. The rooms are big enough to be able to relax and sleep comfortably, The bed is coolest i have seen in a hotel and is comfy with amazing pillows, like the open plan bath layout with a nice big shower which has a very good range of power and heat. Location is perfect and the included breakfast, cant really fault anything but only small complaint is the price of beers served in the hotel bar double what you pay elsewhere in the bars and beer gardens, but wasn’t an issue as we just went elsewhere. cant wait to come back and thanks to every single member of staff you are a credit to the hotel industry.

I stayed in this hotel for business trip and had an amazing experience. Beautiful newly renovated industrial style rooms very big with an amazing outlook. Restaurant had a very nice outlook and warm atmosphere, food was superb. Spa was only sauna and relaxing room but was quiet and relaxing. I got a massage and was very pleasant experience, very recommended!! The area is nice so you can find other restaurants in the area and walk withing 5 minutes to the harbor and 20min to the city center.

The venue is lovely, sauna is great, the food was delicious (ordered sushi to the room) but the actual service isn’t very good. Firstly, I had a welcome card and chocolates for the wrong person. I told the reception and ask them to double check I was in the correct room. I was assured I was in the correct room and they came took away Herr Raith’s welcome note and chocolates and left. I got no welcome note or chocolates 😭 then when I ordered sushi to the room the phone rang and I picked it up but it didn’t work - the call cut off. When the lady arrived with the food she told me off saying they’d tried to call but I hadn’t picked up (but I did) and that as a result of me not picking up my order went to the wrong room.... it went to Herr Raith who is apparently on the floor above me. So I was made to feel like it was my fault my order went to the wrong place. The phone is still misbehaving and when I asked if they’d sort it I got a stare and asked “do you need that right now!?”.... so I guess I don’t... When I went down to the desk and asked questions the staff were uninterested and not very forthcoming, the bar staff were nicer. When I went to return the sauna key to reception I basically was met with dead stares and confusion. I was told to return to the key to reception. I have been really put off by the staff here. The price of the hotel and the service are at odds in my opinion.

Stayed for a weekend with my wife, both experienced and well travelled worldwide fir over 30 years.....This hotel is truly exceptional, great ambiance, great hotel staff and superbly appointed rooms that are both stylish, comfortable and immaculately presented. We were immediately upgraded on arrival ( possibly due to this being our first visit ), and the service we received ensured it won’t be long before we find an excuse to return.

This extremely charming hotel is located in St Pauli (Hamburg). It used to be an iron foundry and the hotel has many traces left from this bygone era.
They have succeeded in creating a fantastic design hotel with a maintained industrial feel. What is impressive is that there is a red design thread that runs through everything. The hotel's interior design together with the industrial look creates a fantastic atmosphere.
The hotel breathes a calm that is rarely found in other hotels, you go here if you want to avoid mainstream hotels and appreciate very good service.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and the breakfast is absolutely wonderful, what more can you expect "Erste Klasse".
If you come by car, there is a nearby parking garage with a lift up to the reception. The hotel is also within easy walking distance to the subway. For those who choose to walk, you can reach central Hamburg in about 20 minutes.
If you choose to live in the East, I recommend you all to really explore the St Pauli area…….

Bizarre room layout with tub in middle of room, but apart from that, great room.
Hotel location is perfect.
Excellent breakfast with lots of choices- all possible tastes are catered for.
Conference catering is unusual with a mix of cake and sushi - iits strange but it works

This is a very nice design hotel. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The place looks really nice and has a great atmosphere. The downstairs restaurant is built into the old foundation walls of the building where as everything else is new and modern. We had a company workshop here and used the cinema room / wedding chapel which is very nice. Coffee breaks were good as well as the buffet lunch. All in all a very recommendable option in a great Hamburg location close to St. Pauli.

The hotel is great with a real funky vibe and really good comfortable rooms with plenty of space and a good work area. I can’t rave about the rooms enough, first class. The hotel is also in a great part of town with plenty of bars and places to eat. What let’s this hotel down badly is the restaurant which is just poor, the service is rubbish the food is limited and although reasonably tasty when it arrives you better not mind waiting!!! Also due the the cool vibe of the place they appear to think it is cool to be disinterested in the customer. I have tried to like this dinning and have eaten there 6 times in the last 2 years but every time thinking “maybe last time I was unlucky” but I have always been disappointed so I have finally learnt my lesson. Summary: stay at the hotel but go out to eat.

Second time in this very nice hotel. Modern, design in heart of st Pauli. 3 minutes from underground, 3 minutes from Reeperbahn, parking right next door. 15 minutes with underground to basically everywhere. Rooms are very nicely decorated, large beds. Did not have breakfast here, but last t8me we also enjoyed the restaurant on site. Recommend it!

Uncertain if they have a specific smoking room, but there are lots of open areas within and right outside of the hotel where you can smoke. If you want a specific smoking room the vier jahrezeiten hotel has a great smoking bar.

I don't know for sure but I would think so. You can walk straight to it on the ground floor. The staff were all very friendly so you'd just have to check as you go through reception
