This is a very nice hotel right near the train station and is only a short walk to the centre of Hamburg. I’d recommend this hotel, the staff are very nice and the rooms lovely. We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on that but there’s lots to see and do nearly and nice places to eat in Hamburg.

We stayed at Hilton for three nights during our summer holiday and was excited to discover Hamburg first time. We choose Hilton thinking we would get good service as expected but we ended up being a bit disappointed.

When we checked into our room, we could see overall the room looked clean but there were some major points - in the bathroom floor there were clipped nails and you could see in general the vacuum cleaning was not done.

We have told the hotel about it and of course they apologized and said they will make sure to vacuum clean next day- but they never did - and it also made us wander what else was not cleaned in that room :( ! ( we got free drink as compensation )

The hotel is also a bit too far walking distance to center and in a bit questionable area.

The hotel is only a short 15 minute walk to the town hall, there are buses within walking distance of the hotel. It is located on a busy main road, but you can walk in either direction where there are traffic lights. Once you enter the hotel there is no noise from the traffic. The staff are very nice and the rooms are very clean, the only problem was clothes hanging space and cupboard space if staying more than a couple of nights. The breakfast was okay, but the cooked breakfast was not hot. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Decent hotel, nothing bad to say, nothing great either. Reception was efficient and following Corona protocols. Rooms are small, but functional and well maintained. Bathroom only has shower, but a good one. Complimentary breakfast is fine for a complimentary breakfast, I.e. very limited choice, but get you going in the morning.
Located in a mostly commercial area with some office buildings, but still within walking distance (about 15 min) to the city center. We are lucky to find (free) street parking right outside

The rooms are small. The breakfast area super crowded ( one needs to make a reservation…) and the hotel is not really close to the central station or to the s-Bahn. It’s location could be deemed as in the middle of nowhere, which is basically a new development area with up and coming places, but not just yet. For the price, this hotel is not a good option. There are many other places closer to public transport or shops and restaurants. The only good thing is that the cleaning crew does an amazing job! We stayed five days and the room was cleaned to perfection every day! Tip: do not ask directions or suggestions from the front desk, we asked for directions to the post office and to a mall and both times the places were too far and difficult to find.

This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable rooms with all the amenities you would want, a good selection of food at breakfast and very clean and hospitable. Special mention must go to the staff, they are superb, from those at the front desk to the staff at breakfast and the cleaning staff too, they are a credit to the hotel and made our stay that much more enjoyable. In particular I would thank Camille, who seemed to be on duty the whole time we were there, nothing was too much trouble. Only downside to the hotel was its location, it was only a 10 min walk to the train station but the main tourist areas like the harbour and Reeperbahn required taxis or buses, there were also no bars, cafes or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Having said that, I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Center last July.
First of all, it was going to be a very expensive overnight stay!

Starting with our arrival, there are only a few parking spaces available at the hotel in a public parking garage. The “FREE” sign appears here all the time, even though all spaces are occupied. The parking situation in the area around the hotel is basically catastrophic, so parking on the street is not possible. Parking vehicles in the second row seems to be standard here.
Ultimately, you are forced to park your car in expensive parking garages quite far away.
Check-in took a very, very long time, even though we had already checked in as Gold Members before our arrival.
We waited for over half an hour, even though we were the only guests in the lobby at the time.
When the room price was debited, our credit card was charged twice, the chargeback could not be made immediately, we were told, as this had to be handled by the accounting department.
To date, almost a year later, we have NOT received our money. We had several contacts with the accounting department, several employees, and the hotel manager, both on site, in writing, and by phone. The promises that they would take care of the matter and refund the money that was wrongly debited turned out to be empty.
We are more than annoyed and we could have booked a much better hotel for the price of the room! This is not how you treat guests, especially since we stay in Hilton hotels all over the world and are therefore "good customers." We consider it outrageous that they have not managed to refund our money in all this time. Even the hotel manager did not take care of the matter, despite repeated promises. We are still waiting for his call back!

We would also like to point out that the breakfast was below average and rather unloving.
The small breakfast area was overcrowded, there was a long line to get to the small breakfast buffet and all the tables were "wiped down" by the receptionist with a damp cloth that was hanging over her chair and was never washed out or even cleaned with a cleaning product. Very hygienic!

Based on our experience, we can say that we will never consider staying at the Hampton by Hilton City Center again and are very annoyed about the way loyal Hilton guests are treated and treated!

We found the Hampton Inn to be a great place to stay. When we arrived, we were greeted by a joyful front desk staff that checked us in, gave us recommendations for dinner, and gave us directions to several of the Christmas markets. Our room we clean and the house keeping staff did a great job daily. We asked the front desk staff to pre-order a taxi for our ride to the docks. The breakfast we good and plentiful and the staff did a wonderful job assisting and keeping the place well stocked and clean. The morning of the transfer, the original driver was going to be late, so the front desk staff cancelled the taxi and ordered another. They assisted us with getting our luggage out as we were two couples with many bags.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is helpful, they had made an error regarding the parking and they made it up at our check out. The location is 10-15 mins walk to the center of the city. The breakfast is ok.. Other than that it was a good price/performance stay.

You can do the Google maps for the directions, which is helpful. Yeah, it took us 30-40 min. Had to ask one person on directions. Not a bad walk. St. Pauli, we took the bus 112. About 20 min. We had bought a day travel ticket from the airport, so that covered the trip to the hotel and then to St. Pauli and back

Hotel is a bit out of town/city centre in a bit of a boring area so its the bus from outside to train station then underground.
