This is a top class Hotel. Service is very good at every place. The Hotel, rooms, restrooms and all other places are absolutely clean. You can access the viewing platform around Elbphilharmonie from the hotel lobby (8th floor) for free, just use your room card.
The room has an incredible view. It is just amazing. Its size is a standard hotel room. The Bathroom door offers a nice double-feature: It is used as the Bathroom main door, but also can be used as the door for the toilet only.
Parking is 6 Euros an hour and 35 a day.
The breakfast has a very good quality, but is a bit overpriced at 30 Euros.
To be critizised are a few things: The door from the garage to the elevtors is manual only. This is very bad for handicapped people. Should not happen these days. Needs a change.
The telefone in the room is a mess. It is not intentional in its use. The letters at the buttons are so small that you might need magnifying glasses to read them. Even the button for emergency has no bigger letters or different color, it just vanishes in this mash of buttons.
If you leave the curtains open it is impossible to get the room to a good cool temperature. Due to the size and shape of these special windows the sun gets its natural job done. So, keep the sunscreen-curtain closed or be boiled in the room.

The hotel has a wonderful location and beautiful views from many of the rooms. The hotel staff is friendly but there seems to be utter disorganisation in terms of the housekeeping. We had four rooms booked and all of rooms (on different floors) experienced problems. Some rooms were missing shower gel (but there was an abundance of body lotion). Some rooms didn't have cups (but there was a boiler to make tea or coffee). On one day they made the room and removed all the towels (there was nowhere in the rooms where you could hang the used ones), and they didn't replace with new towels. We called in the morning to ask for new towels so we could shower, and two hours later we were still waiting. Another day they took the soap away but didn't add any new soap. One of they days they brought us paper cups but didn't refill the coffee or tea. Some of the days the bathrooms weren't cleaned very well. All in all the pattern of housekeeping seemed very erratic. We have never experienced anything of this sort at a hotel. This wasn't a one day issue - we were there for a little over a week, and had several rooms - and experienced problems every day. The food for room service was quite good but again we had several occasions where we didn't receive what we had ordered. We still had a pleasant vacation, but will likely not chose the Westin next time.

We stayed at the Westin during the easter week 2022 and were very happy with the quality, value and amenities.
We stayed in a partial sea view room on the 14th floor which was fantastic.. the room was opposite the lifts which worried us but the walls are thick so noise was never an issue.
The view from the room was amazing! Floor to ceiling windows with a strange curved design that allows you to actually look straight down to the ground as if flying!
The view looked over the harbour and city, it was amazing. The window had electric blinds which adds some technical class.
The bathroom was very big, clean, new.. high quality.
The only annoyances are the lifts are small and slow, there are only 5 for a 11 story hotel and 2 were out of service so we had to wait and queue for the lifts quite a lot.
Breakfasts are expensive - 30 euros Per person. There are many local cafes though if you prefer.
The spa and pool are amazing and a must visit! Very new and high quality, plenty of steam and saunas.
Would definitely revist.

"The Westin" Hamburg was a great disappointed. It all started with the room not being ready for check-in by 16:00 hrs... However, there was black fungi in the shower, the wallpaper in the room was coming off, spider webs not only in the room, but also in the restaurant! The impression was rather cheap, even though the price for the stay wasn't. Yes, the view from the room was spectacular, but to take this as the guarantor is a mistake.
The minibar was empty because of the hygienic concept, which is ok (even though other hotels in town are still having them filled up) but than to ask for a service charge to bring up drinks is just too much...

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to evaluate. Of course I regret that we were not able to convince you. Please excuse the waiting time before check-in. Our highest goal is that each of our guests feels welcome and can spend a pleasant stay in our house. Of course, this also includes the cleanliness of the hotel. Please be assured that I will discuss your remarks internally. We hope you will consider staying at The Westin again on future trips to Hamburg. Warm regards Anja Plattner Gästeservice

Nice view but in all not as expected.
We upgraded beforehand (after luring mails from the hotel) to a junior suite but it was not at all clear that we lost the included breakfast in the upgrading process.
Breakfast was € 30 per person.
Even though we understand the difficulties and challenges this special corona situation is bringing, € 30 per person for the breakfast served is overpriced.
The room was very worn from use all though the hotel only just opened in 2017.
The closed lounge was not mentioned at all at the website and we only learned about it as we asked for it at check in. More information pre booking about the current limits in terms of using the hotels facilities would be highly recommended and appreciated.
The staff was friendly and accommodating and the view stunning.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to evaluate your stay with us at The Westin Hamburg. First of all, we are pleased that the unique view appealed to you. We regret that we could not convince you 100% of our services. The measures taken to contain Covid-19 also demand a great deal from the hotel industry. Our highest goal is that each of our guests feels welcome and can spend a pleasant stay in our hotel. In these times, however, we have to adapt processes and react at short notice. We work daily on optimizing communication and new processes to meet our very high standards and to continue to make the experience for our guests as positive as possible. Since, due to official regulations, breakfast buffets are currently not possible in Hamburg, we have decided to offer an Etageren breakfast, which includes many components of the breakfast buffet that can be reordered at any time. Additionally we serve freshly prepared egg dishes and coffee specialities. The price for the breakfast served at the table is comparatively high, as the staffing in the background as well as at the guest is much higher than with a breakfast buffet. Unfortunately we cannot undo your negative impression of our house, but we would be pleased if you would give us another chance to convince you of our services. With kind regards, Anja Plattner, Guest Relation

We had booked an Elbphilharmonie Suite, which turned out to be a gorgeous light room with three ceiling to floor windows overlooking the harbour and the city. It had a huge comfortable bed with perfect (for me) pillows, a desk, lots of chairs and sofas, a fridge, kettle and mugs. The bathroom had another ceiling to floor window and a bath, separate shower and separate wc. There were some really nice touches such as mirrors on the ceiling of the top shelves, so that you could see what was on them, small windows that opened and hooks by the front door (though none in the bathroom!). There were no USBs but plenty of sockets. The A/C was easy to set and worked quite well, but we kept the curtains drawn during the morning when the sun was directly on the room.
Turndown offered more interesting ideas such as sunscreen (which was brilliant and useful), foot cream and Mentos as well as a chocolate on the last night.
We had breakfast in the hotel on first and last mornings: excellent hot and cold buffet with bacon, fried and scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans, sausages and potatoes as well as loads of pasties and other options.
We also used the Blick Bar, which had very good service. We had beers and potato crisps as well as good cocktails and mocktails: it is quite expensive though.

This hotel offers an exclusive design, great location with less than 20 minutes walk to the center of the city.
Nice and friendly staff.
The rooms are comfortable and big.
I am though unsatisfied with the sleeping quality in the room. Even though there’s air conditioning in the room, it’s working so insufficient that the room never had either fresh air or normal temperature. I assume that in a cold German winter that it’s nice to have room temperature on 26 degrees. However in the summer and at night it would be nice to be able to regulate the room temperature. With the old fashioned and insufficient air conditions in this hotel, it is not possible to regulate the temperature at all. You can not even set the air conditioning to cool to a certain level. The only settings is on/off hot/cold. And obviously the cold setting doesn’t work. This makes sleeping in the room, like sleeping in a hot tub and the experience with the hotel to an unpleasant experience. We complained twice about the air conditioner. The first time they promised to fix it in our room and nothing happened and they never even tried. The second time we were offered a new room. The new room was the room next door with the exact same poor room temperature regulating system. We then told them that the new room is not better and they promised to regulate the room temperature from their central regulationssystem. It’s not a surprise that it didn’t work either.
Peak this hotel if you want to enjoy exclusive design and beautiful view, but if you want to sleep good in the night, peak somewhere else.

Got to stay at the Westin Hamburg Hotel for a weekend in Hamburg, it was truly an experience. Upon arrival we recieved an early check in as well as a comlimentary upgrade to a Deluxe room with a lovely view of the harbour and the city. It was truly a joy waking up every morning with the sunset.
The Service of the hotel I believe were generally slow (Could be due to Covid19), however the staff very always very helpful.

We checked in at about 2 o’clock and were offered a room on the 12th floor which was ready or a wait for a room higher up: we chose the former. It was room 1210, which was a really well designed room overlooking the water. It was large with a bathroom running the entire length of the room on the left. The clever bathroom door allowed access to the bath and sink separately from the loo and shower and the latter had excellent water pressure.
The room was decorated in light colours with two floor-to-ceiling windows, and there was a kettle, and a fridge.
Breakfast was an excellent hot and cold buffet with fresh eggs.

The Westin Hamburg Hotel is located in the same building as the Elbphilharmonie. The hotel’s “Blick” Bar is located on the 8th floor, next to the stairs leading to the “Grosser Saal” of the Philharmonic. So, after enjoying the view provided by the 8th floor, we decided to have a drink at the bar before the concert starts, as we usually do when we have time. I would not say that the bar area enchanted us. Simple, without any personality, he left the initiative of the impressions in the view that existed towards the port. We ordered two glasses (coup) of champagne, which we like to drink before or during the interval of a concert. The champagne had a strange color and not the vivid blonde color that the champagne should have. Only for the strange color we should have turned it back, but we kept it. The taste of the champagne confirmed our suspicions that something was wrong with this particular champagne; it was slightly "beaten". Apparently they had opened the bottle to serve a glass and they did not close it immediately and properly as it should. But what was outrageous was the fact that along with the two glasses of champagne the waiter left us some small side snacks. Disaster, the snacks were so hot that they burned our palate. They must have had red pepper or strong curry. But in what part of the world do they combine the delicate taste of champagne with snacks that burn as if we were in an Indian restaurant? Unfortunately, either the people handling the bar are irrelevant or, the most possible, the waiter who served us was so indifferent that he did not care what snack he offered along with the champagne. Frustration, in general.

Hello Lisa, we are part of Marriott Int and have special rates for employees from partner hotels. Otherwise, our rates can be viewed on our homepage. I hope I could help.
No problem.
