The Service staff were one of the star points of the hotel experience. The rooms were spacious and clean and the gym/sauna and pool were good quality and well maintained. They should however change some of their promotional material because they no longer offer a hot tub and it is clearly seen many times in their videos and pictures. Also, I couldn't find the numbers for the front desk or room service printed anywhere on the menu or in my room. It was frustrating. Other than that - great experience. Please change the plastic cups in the gym for paper ones to go with your hotel's environmental initiative. Thank you.

Hello Skyla99 Thank you very much for your great review. The team is very pleased that it has been noticed positively. Yes, unfortunately we had to remove our whirlpool. That you notice this helps us a lot, we have to go into more detail here, where the information is visible everywhere. To get to the cups in the fitness room, we are currently still looking for a suitable variant. The paper cups that we have received from our supplier soften too quickly. We promise to work on a solution here. Thank you very much for your stay, see you next time. Lovely regards from Berlin Sebastian Fink Assistant Manager

If you want space in your room and want to be able to look around in Berlin being relatively close to the major points of interest; this is a good place to stay. From this location you can easily hop on and hop off on busses. Good restaurants are not nearby; so you will need Uber.

A great hotel and definitely value for money. The apartment was a really good size, with everything you need. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole place spotless. Breakfast was included in the price, buffet style with a good selection of food. The location of the hotel is ideal too, close to the U bahn and within walking distance of many sights. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Berlin.

We’ve always enjoy staying Adina appartments as they represent must better value than a hotel - the rooms are spacious and well appointed and included washing machine and drier, dish washer and medium sized fridge freezer and an oven.

For Australians, Vegemite is available at breakfast.

Fran Barcele and the team were every helpful and professional.

awful experience

We stayed at the Adina Check Point Charlie hotel in December for three nights. The experience was extremely bad.
The level of cleanliness aspires to zero. The rooms are not cleaned every day but only once every three days (we were told that this is an "experiment" they are doing at the hotel). For example, the toilets in the lobby were not cleaned for three days...
On the second day I woke up at night scratching my stomach area and saw a cluster of several bites on my stomach. On the white sheet I saw blood spots like traces along the sheet.
At first I didn't understand what it was, but after a short search on the web I realized that it was probably bed bugs. We immediately went down to the lobby and asked to change rooms. Later I realized that this is not a simple story because the bed bugs might catch a ride home with us with the clothes and luggage and then we will be in a lot of trouble. We asked for a washing machine and spent a day and a half washing all our clothes at 60 degrees and drying them. coats and shoes and suitcases - it was not possible to wash them, we just vacuum them and hoped for the best...
Some of the sweaters were really ruined and of course the vacation was completely ruined. The hotel of course denied it, said that he checked the room and found nothing... I came with the maintenance manager to the room and showed her the blood spots on the sheet and she didn't know how to explain it, she just waved her hands and said that she had put a bright white sheet and of course there were no blood spots.
I continued to itch for at least 3 days.
When we returned home, I wrote an email to the hotel in which I demanded compensation - a refund for the cost of the stay, and they responded with a negative and dismissive response while denying it and attaching an inspection report in German denying that there were bed bugs there.
I am attaching photos taken there at night at the hotel.
I recommended - a dirty hotel and not recommended at all and you should stay away.

We chose a 1 bedroom deluxe balcony apartment for two stays separated by a few days in Dresden. Booked well in advance to take advantage of an email 35% discount offer, which made the price comparable or even better than a lot of the centrally located Airbnb’s we had been looking at. And Adina offers hotel advantages such as 24 hr reception for late arrival (which applied to both of our stays) and easy luggage storage while we were in Dresden. There is also a restaurant in house for dinner or breakfast if you like, but we did not try this out. The apartment was very spacious, modern, clean and fully appointed similar to what you might expect from a 4 – 4½star hotel. Location is also convenient with proximity to metro and bus stops, city centre and convenience store nearby.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and we were glad we chose this hotel despite it not being very near the HBF or subway (takes about 9 mins walk to the U-Bahn, bus stop for Bus 200 about 3-5 mins away). The hotel is located in a quiet neighbour with a Lidl within 5 mins away! So you can get snacks or drinks back to the hotel room. The apartment hotel is within walking distance to a number of attractions if you do not mind walking otherwise public transport is still accessible and within reach.

The room itself is quite large by normal standard. The bathroom comes with a bath tub (a bonus which allows us to soak our tired bodies after a long day of exploring), and rain shower. Hair dryer is also provided together with a heating rail for your wet towels. Bed is comfortable that allows us to get the best sleep throughout our trip in Germany.

Recommend to choose the rooms facing the inner courtyard as it is quieter and blocks out the morning sun.

We will definitely book Adina Apartment Berlin Checkpoint Charlie again when we visit next time.

I stayed at the Adina apartment checkpoint charlie for 5 nights. Starting with the location, it's good, only 5 min walking to U-bahn stations that takes you to almost everywhere in berlin. The room carpet was full of stains, and the curtains were broken. Under the bed was dirty and full of dust and fruit remains from the previous guest. If you care about your business whether it's a hotel or apartment you should invest in the basics.I booked through the apartment website considering the booking included the full price but when I checked out they told me that the booking price did not include the city tax (around 5%) per night. Also, they charge you a deposit of 50 euro.I booked relatively late and it wasn't the best deal and price but couldn't find a better

We've stayed at four Adina Hotels now (in Germany and Austria) and they work perfectly for us.
The rooms are generously proportioned and have well-equipped galley kitchen with most of what you will need for quick lunches or simple meals. There's even a washer/dryer if you require it.
Beds are comfortable but pillows always tend to be on the soft side, which is not my preference as I have a neck problem, but this is a minor issue.
The staff are generally very pleasant and professional. The two guys who checked us in (Thursday Nov 16 evening) and out (Sunday Nov 19 morning) were especially professional and personable.
There was a slight disappointment that our room safe was locked on our arrival and remained so, even though we had reported it to maintenance, but this did not significantly spoil our stay (I'd left my diamonds at home anyway.).
The location is excellent, it's a residential neighbourhood with easy walking access to many of Berlin's most worthwhile sights ( Topography of Terror is only 15 minutes away, for example.). We were eating at Tim Raue's restaurant on the Friday, and that was only ten minutes away - superb.
We love visiting this part of Europe and we'll continue to use Adina hotels wherever we find them. Many thanks.
