Germany’s first ‘Hygge’ hotel will open in Berlin late 2017 and we are so excited to bring all the cosy and comfy Guldsmeden touches to this new destination. Lulu is located in a beautifully renovated 1850’s building in the vibrant neighbourhood of Potsdamer Straße in Tiergarten/Mitte.
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
Staff is very helpful and polite

Pros: stylish, nice staff, a lot of shops around.
Cons: no elevator to 4th floor. Have to walk 1,5 floors, breakfast expensive and rather small, showers open so that the whole bathroom is wet after the shower.
We stayed at Lulu Hotel for one night; whishing for more. It's truly a cosy hotel with nice light rooms, super clean and pretty. Incredible easy to feel home, starting with an amazing hospitality and great food. Really helpfull staff. We will definitely come back...More
I love hotels with character. Lulu Guldsmeden has that: really sweet desk staff, an amazing lobby/breakfast room/unique room decoration and some kind of vegan/everything green style of working. Just lovely. However, as a business traveller, you just get sick of some things really quickly.
Lovely little hotel in Berlin. The bar and restaurant area are great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very nice but bathroom was tiny. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for that cosy organic hotel experience in a big city.
