Detailed Reviews
We stayed in the Dom hotel for 4 nights and it was so comfortable. Snowing outside but the room was so warm and bright, mini fridge replenished every day with bottled water, orange and beer which was complimentary, a very nice touch. Breakfast was also very tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in the city but still very peaceful location. Would love to stay here again. Staff are also excellent.

+1
The Dom Hotel in Augsburg is an excellent hotel, with a very good location. It lies in a very quiet street, at about two minutes walk from the cathedral. It's in a nice building by which, within the hotel enclosure there is a court a part of which is the hotel parking where the customers' cars can be parked for free. Inside it's very cosy and well decorated. The lounge is a beautiful quiet sitting room where one can spend very agreeable moments.
The bedroom I was allocated is superb. Not only was it comfortable and spacious, but it had a fantastic view over the cathedral steeples and the relevant part of the city. It finds itself on the top floor and therefore, it's very well lit up by daylight. Besides, it's very peaceful, to such an extent that the building is most probably soundproof. Thanks to the comfort implied in that bedroom my stay in Augsburg was gorgeous.
The staff members are all very kind and helpful, with the exception perhaps of one of the ladies active at breakfast time in the pertinent room. Fortunately she was off on the second day of my two-days stay at the hotel.
The breakfast is very good. There is everything needed at the buffet and all is of top quality. The pastry is excellent and some units are still warm upon consumption. The breakfast room is very nice and comfortable. The atmosphere there is very good, particular due to the fact that the music, whenever there is any, isn't disturbing.
The Dom Hotel is therefore one of the best hotels in Augsburg, if not the best. I would thus strongly recommend to book in that hotel when one plans go to Augsburg.

We were welcomed most warmly by the owner speaking perfect English. There is a mixture of traditional and modern in this hotel. Parking is €7 in an amazing garage with hydraulic levels, not expected in such a traditional environment. Our room was simple in a cosy style and decor, with a functional bathroom and effective shower. A free mini bar containing beer, soft drinks and water was a wonderful touch.
We were given most helpful instructions for places to eat in the city, all marked for us on a map.
Breakfast is included in the price and is amazing: in value, quantity and choice. This really is a five star experience with a huge choice of tasty food.
This hotel is unbelievable value and a real pleasure to enjoy. We would highly recommend.

This hotel offers garage parking - and uses hydrolic lifts to get multiple cars in/out of the small space. We Americans had never seen such! The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The location is half a block from the Dom and just a few more to many shops and restaurants. A gem!

We were in transit from Italy home and booked here long in advance. We were greeted very friendly and met a very competent staff member at reception. All questions were answered and the Recommendation for dinner was perfect. The hotel has many corridors and you have to concentrate a lot to find the right way to the room. An electronic lock on the room door, a safe and a refrigerator completed the room offer. The bed was very comfortable and the room was relatively large. A small balcony was also located at the room. The bathroom was very bright and very well equipped. It was very quiet and the breakfast was also very extensive, but unfortunately the dining room is a bit loud and also a little cramped, especially in the area of the buffet.
We felt very comfortable as this hotel is not only very easy to reach but also directly, 800 m to the city.
We will definitely come back

This is a terrific hotel in a great location to see all of the old town sites of Augsburg by foot. My wife in I stayed in one of the attic junior suites with a small balcony, and it was very nice and spotlessly clean. The staff is very accommodating, and as others have pointed out, the breakfast is fantastic, and the garage is interesting.
If you are driving, be sure to reserve a garage space for your stay, since the free parking is very limited, and street parking is difficult in the area of the hotel.

Lovely hotel, nice to have a pool and sauna to relax in.
Also had a lovely room with a little private balcony too!
Excellent location the town centre too.
Beware though the worst curtains I have ever seen at a hotel, take an eye mask unless you want to be up at dawn!

I go to Augsburg once a year for work and we always stay at the Dom Hotel. It really stands out among all the chain hotels and other mediocre establishments. A great, friendly team, good facilities, included minibar, location in the middle of the city, beautiful, individual rooms in a characterful building. The price-performance ratio is simply phenomenal. The breakfast is also good, only the pool and fitness area are a bit dated. But that is really criticism at a very high level.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my family. We booked a double and a triple. The double was certainly better furnished and perhaps more recently modernized than my triple.
The room was still clean except for some corners.
The location is excellent for walking to the center and the quality of sleep is good...until the bells ring!
However, there is no air conditioning (at least in my room on the third floor) and it was quite hot!
I used the pool and spa area...but only the pool because the sauna was turned off!
Hotels that lose something just because it is in a historic building.
Garage that makes you anxious but once you understand it is also convenient... if there is room!
Breakfast was sufficient and of good quality although not very extensive.
Average quality/price ratio.

Fantastic stay in the centre of Augsburg. The hotel is clean, has a fab small gym and pool and a free minibar in the room! The breakfast is typical continental breakfast but it is excellent quality. The room is very spacious and the location excellent. We would 100% recommend.

The stairs shown in some of my photos must be gone up to betake yourself to the top floor. It's not the case as far as the other floors are concerned, where the rooms are at the same level as the elevator.
Dear Sean, thank you very much for the interest about our Hotel. The Sauna ( finnish Sauna and a infrared Sauna ) is mixed and near the pool area - the Areas are not splited. The opening ours are 7.00 to 12.00 and 15.00 to 21.00. We heat up the Sauna
