This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of Augsburg. It is on a classic European street with wonderful shops and restaurants and is within walking distance to the beautiful churches. We booked a family combination room which had two connected rooms for our family of 5. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the bathrooms were spacious. It was fantastic for us to be together as many of the other hotels we stayed at we had to book completely separate rooms to accommodate our family of 5. We were offered little treats in our room and free bottles of mineral water which were nice little perks. The rate we booked also included breakfast the following morning which was a full breakfast buffet including champagne. This was a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again.

In Augsburg for work I stayed for one night in this hotel, feeling good. The location is central, the room (248) was not huge but nicely decorated, comfortable and quiet; equipped with a spacious bathroom with a large shower, it also offered a valuable Nespresso machine. Rich breakfast buffet, with hot drinks service at the table. Available, books in the room, international and German newspapers in the lobby, a wellness center and a top restaurant with a well-kept cellar. Prices adapted to the accommodation.

Stayed for 4 nights with my family.

Overall the hotel is looking very good, the staff are very nice and kind. the gym is very basic without any air conditioner which was pretty hard to do some exercises due the heat and non air flow.

Rooms are very nice, very spacious and clean. the housekeeping very good and seems it's one class than other hotels, the only thing that bothered me that they provide an envelope for tipping the housekeeping. the amenities are very nice but missing for example hair conditioner which I had to buy in other place. I asked to provide and they gave us a small one that suitable for one use.

Breakfast is good, I found some difficult for my kids. the variety is OK, nice champagne in the morning. the food variety is not consistent over the week, a specific day without fruits, some days no pancakes. some days no fried eggs and need to ask for cook. the staff very kind and welcoming. overall I found better breakfast in 4 star hotels. I can't call this as a super breakfast.

I ate dinner in the Maximillian's restaurant and the food were very delicious and the service as well.

We arrived without having booked, we had seen a special Easter offer at 224€ per night but the receptionist found us a better rate at 287€ with breakfast and parking included, when having breakfast (30€ per person ) it was ultimately not included in our reservation nor the parking (23€ for one night). I tried to negotiate but the language barrier didn't help so I only got a breakfast reduction.
Moreover, for me a room of this category must be impeccable but the shower head was defective and leaking.
Also watch out for the Hamman because I was in a swimsuit but the others were naked and it's mixed.
The restaurant on the other hand is worth the trip.

After a difficult start because the air conditioning did not work in the room we changed rooms thanks to a very kind lady at the reception
Hotel in the center.
Excellent soundproofed rooms the mattress and pillows with double choice, if you want, on request, you can have another particular pillow from a list of ten. Good initiative. Furniture and quality of the room at 5-star category level.
Parking behind unattended hotel at a cost of 24 euros per night. Good Wi-Fi. Very good breakfast with wide choice. Excellent value for money

We had a great two night stay at the Hotel Maximilian's. It is a true gem with a rich history spanning over 500 years. It combines classic elegance with modern comfort, offering a unique blend of old-world charm and contemporary amenities. The rooms are spacious, well-designed with luxurious touches that cater to every guest’s need. The service is top-notch, reflecting the hotel’s long-standing reputation for excellence. Its location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, making it the perfect base for exploring Augsburg’s historic sites or conducting business. The hotel bar is a lively venue during the day and in the evening, and the service team is incredibly accommodating, even into the later hours. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, Hotel Maximilian's provides a luxurious and welcoming stay that’s hard to beat.

The former hotel "Drei Mohren" looks back on a long history and prominent guests (such as W.A. Mozart, Goethe etc.). Today, however, there is not much of the old splendour left; it has become a rather sober business hotel - everything in dark colours. The Maximilians advertises itself as "five stars superior", but in my opinion this is not entirely justified:
The room was comfortable, but relatively small and not exactly quiet on Maximilianstrasse. The biggest disappointment for a 5* hotel was the so-called fitness and wellness area; the fitness area consists of just three machines in a windowless room. The wellness area is also very manageable, no swimming pool! The service (including velvet parking) and the friendliness of the staff were very commendable and kept me from deducting another point ;)
The breakfast and the restaurant offer good quality and selection, the rooms are also very minimalist (surely a question of personal taste).
Conclusion: certainly a nice, functional business hotel, but with 5* "Superior" you would expect a little more compared to other hotels in this category.

Lovely 5 story hotel on main street about 15 minutes walk from the train station. Quiet during my visit in 9/2022 because streetcar line was under renovation down the street. Join the hotel's frequent guest program for a discount; you may be upgraded. I had room 418 on the 4th floor facing the front of the hotel on the wide Maximilianstrasse, & it was modern, tasteful, & larger than most. Staff are warm & friendly & concerned with matching you with the right room for your needs. If I am ever in Augsburg again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Hotel Maximilian’s is an enjoyable hotel in a classic building in the middle of the beautiful city of Augsburg.
We booked a quiet superior KIng room. Arriving in the room we found out that the room was very quiet, but was overlooking a roof and other rooms and windows couldn’t be opened, only in the ceiling were some little rooms, that gave very little fresh air. Also it was uncomfortably warm and we supposed that the air conditioner would take too long to get a better temperature (and we don’t like ( the noise of air conditioner).
We went back to the reception and immediately another superior King room was offered.
This room was much larger than the other one and was located at the front of the building.
Since there is very little traffic at the front of the building it was rather quiet.
In fact we wonder both rooms were classified in the same category.
Perhaps a suggestion: give guests clear explanation of the various rooms in the same category.
The Maximilian’s has 2 restaurants: Sartory (Michelin rated) and Maximilian’s (informal)
The first evening we decided to have dinner in Maximilian’s and it was a very pleasant surprise:
Perfect service (friendly and professional staff) informal nice setting and an excellent kitchen.
You can see kitchen staff working and it is a pleasant view: harmonious and professional.
So we decided to have dinner the next evening too: same very good experience.
Bar 3M is fine, although some young members of the staff need some extra training: alertness and speed.
Breakfast is fine, as well as cleanliness room.
Conclusion; a hotel to go back again.

Excellent hotel in the center of Augusta. The location is truly optimal, allowing you to reach the most beautiful destinations in the city on foot. Clean, welcoming rooms, but not 5 star. Private parking . Very friendly and Italian speaking staff. Room service and breakfast very expensive. However, the breakfast is really excellent.
