Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely dreadful. Would not advise anyone to stay there. We had spoken to them emailed our dates and on arrival day spoke again and told to turn up. When we did so it was clear they were out of coping places. Tents on every spare piece of grass. Not to be recommended.

We spent 1 night at Munchen Thalkirchen. It was fairly central with a bus stop outside which took you to the train station into Munich. You could pick you own pitch which was great. The toilets could do with an update but were nice enough. Would visit again

One of the worst campsites we have ever visited. Unfriendly reception, 72euros for 2 nights plus you pay exra for a cold shower, hot water etc. The toilet facilities were substandard although location was good for Munich. I wanted to leave ASAP but we arrived late and told just find a pitch which was pretty difficult without any side lights. We later moved to Rosenheim Happinger Hoff which was 15 euros a night, showers, free WiFi, extremely friendly staff. Worth the extra 1 hour towards Italy. I would avoid the aforementioned campsite. It probably doesn't deserve 1 star. What's really strange is that it was extremely busy.

The best things about this site are its location and size! It’s really large and would take a lot to become full, we arrived quite late and managed to get a nice spot. The pitches are quite close together but we weren’t bothered. There is a lovely restaurant close by, as well as takeaway food available on site. Getting to the centre of Munich is easy, there is an underground station within walking distance. There are a few different blocks with toilets and showers on the site, unfortunately our block was not the cleanest, definitely not horrifically dirty but I didn’t enjoy showering there, if that makes sense. Overall very convenient and enjoyed here!

Stayed here for 3 nights during a recent three week solo cyclo-camping trip. The place is a little run down and has heavy use all year around which means that the grass surface is in poor condition. Cheap at e8 per night but hot water & wifi are extra. About a 1km walk to the underground (aka u-Bahn, metro, etc) station and a short trip to the centre.

If you are looking for a wholesome family vacation, pristine 5-star amenities and a great 10+ hour sleep- This probably isn't for you. If you are looking for an awesome adventure, a great place to pre (and post) drink, easy access to Oktoberfest with like-minded beer enthusiasts and awesome staff to top it all off, this is it. All of the Stoke Staff are incredible with a special shout-out to Dan, Cal and Trent.

Good location. Showers and bathrooms are terrible, and you have to buy a 1.8€ token to enjoy hot water (a shame). If you need to do/solve anything with the (understaffed) reception guy, be prepared for a wait, as lines are long.

really convenient camping, just next to the river, and less than 1km walk to the underground. It is very crowded, and you need to pay for every additional services (hot water, wifi); so it is great to spend a few days, but probably not a longer time

We stayed here for 3 nights. The pitches are very small for campers and vans, but for the tents is good and they have the fence. The toilets could be in better conditions but it is workable. There is a lot of shadow and watching the surfers near by or the river you can spend a lot of times. Ther is a lot of moisture, and in the hot summers this is very good! The connection to the city center is great. We spent 20 min to reach Marianplatz. The reception desk stuff are very friendly and helpfull. I forgot to say that you have to pay 1.80 eur for the hot showers ;)

This is a largish sized no frills camp on the banks of the River Isar, that has everything you need. The Motor Home/Caravan hardstand marked pitches are quite narrow with just enough room for a van+awning, tight access and really only suitable for max 7m length. There are other spots, however, for longer vans/caravans and plenty of flat level grassed areas for tents. There are 3 amenity blocks, the central one the most modern, but still on the old side - some toilets don't have seats. Showers are on 8 minute timers by token (extra). Hot water for dishwashing 50c extra. Laundry facilities are OK. Chem toilet disposal and MH service point are good. No Wi-Fi. There is a bar/restaurant serving basic fare and a mini market that is open until 2pm. The bar has a nice little terrace overlooking the river. You have to pay, in cash, on arrival, however there is an ATM on site - but it only accepts Mastercards (not VISA cards). The facilities might be average but its in a lovely location where you can walk through the parklands, watch the 'surf' riders on the weir, or the racous rafters as they end their day on the river bank opposite. Its also great for visiting Munich with a 20 minute bus service from the camp to the U bahn just 5 minutes away and then to the city centre in 15 minutes - you can buy a variety of transport ticket options at reception. We stayed 3 nights in early July. 2 in a Motor Home cost 34€ per night. 2.87/5.0
