Dear Weingart family, dear Mr. Uhlemann, dear team,
Thank you for your email, I would like to give you feedback on our stay on behalf of my colleagues and myself.
First of all, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful stay with you. From the very first minute, we felt (again) at home - your exceptional hospitality and warmth impressed us deeply. The location of the hotel in the middle of the picturesque mountains is simply breathtaking. The panoramic view from our rooms was priceless. The rooms themselves were very tastefully and comfortably furnished and exuded a truly relaxing atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail that was noticeable everywhere.
One of the highlights, however, was undoubtedly your culinary offering. The dishes made from regional and seasonal products more than spoiled our taste buds. The extensive breakfast buffet with its diverse delicacies also left nothing to be desired. We also felt very comfortable in the wellness area, only we didn't have enough time at the end of the day, but that's another reason to come back and plan more time for it...
Last but not least, we would like to give the whole team a big compliment for their always friendly and courteous service.
We can really recommend "Das Graseck" to anyone - and will do so - who is looking for relaxation, enjoyment and genuine hospitality. Thank you for the unforgettable days - we will definitely be back!

Even the journey was an experience, as we were able to take a cable car to the hotel. It went straight across the wild and romantic Partnach Gorge. As we arrived too early (on purpose), our room was not ready yet. The reception provided us with fluffy bathrobes and towels in a large bag so that we could spend the waiting time in the spa. The spa is very tastefully and elegantly furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. We got a room upgrade and were able to enjoy a larger room with a balcony overlooking the Wetterstein Mountains. The room was also very tastefully and comfortably furnished and the nice Easter greeting sweetened our stay. The half board included a 4-course menu of your choice and a large breakfast buffet. Everything was very attractively presented and a real treat. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and well-mannered. Just as you would wish and expect. We would love to come back.

The online reservation worked perfectly. A few days later we decided to upgrade to a room with a sun terrace and a panoramic view of the Alps. We booked this by phone and received confirmation immediately by email. In retrospect, it was the right decision and we can happily recommend it.
The access and parking situation are well described on the website. Since the cable car was not yet in operation at the time of our stay due to the new building, the hotel offered a shuttle service that worked absolutely smoothly.
The access road to the hotel and the adjacent guest houses, with a gradient of 32%, may only be used by residents and definitely not by guests. As a result, the hotel is in a quiet and scenic location, where the relaxation factor is guaranteed.
The upgrade gave us a 40 sqm suite, divided into 2 areas by a sliding door: a sleeping area with a large rain shower, a large bathtub and a modern vanity and a living area consisting of a seating area with a 3-seater sofa. The separate toilet was also in this part of the room. There was also enough space for our extensive luggage for the 5 days. We were particularly impressed by the spacious sun terrace with a view of the Alpine panorama. The associated double sun lounger invited us to sunbathe in the sunshine.
All of the service staff in the kitchen, restaurant, reception and room service were friendly and courteous.
We took advantage of the hotel's free offer and visited the Partnach Gorge. We got the entrance tickets here and thus saved ourselves the entrance fee and, above all, the queue at the cash desk.
The breakfast and dinner were extensive and left nothing to be desired. One of the highlights of the day was the 4-course menu in the evening. The selection of main courses is particularly worth mentioning here. Every evening we could choose between a meat, fish or vegetarian dish. The decision was not always easy with the selected ingredients. Here are just two examples: Pink roasted saddle of venison or fillet of Atlantic turbot. Fillet of Duroc pork (that was first class!!!) or fillet of sea bass. The secret of the main courses is of course the individually coordinated sauces and side dishes.
We did not use the special service with a very good health care concept. But we did use the wonderful wellness area every day. Whether in the sauna, the relaxation area or in the 32 degree outdoor pool, you always have a wonderful view of the surrounding majestic mountains. That's why we wish all subsequent guests a few relaxing days. There is no better way to escape from everyday life. Unless you use the very well developed WiFi network in the hotel 😉

The Graseck team is simply great. The service is super attentive and helpful.
The breaks for the meetings always came on time and if something was needed to eat, it was no problem. The conference technology is excellent - projector under the ceiling, a large "iPad" on wheels, flip charts in the room.
The coffee snacks always included fruit and yoghurt, delicious sandwiches and very good Danish pastries in the afternoon.
For the first evening there was the menu, which was wonderfully presented and just to die for. Tuesday evening there was a team building followed by a fondue meal :-) Again, simply wonderful.
On both days the wine selection was a dream.
The rooms are very nice and comfortable, all with wooden floors. The bathrooms match the room, a nice shower with a rainforest switch. Soft towels, and a small basket with more towels, hotel slippers and a bathrobe is available for a dip in the spa. Unfortunately there was no time for wellness - but on the next visit - privately - the wellness will be thoroughly enjoyed.

A beautiful hotel in the best location. It's an very easy journey from Munich airport by FlixBus straight to Garmisch and then a 10 min taxi from just beside the bus stop up to the hotel. Although a little out of town (about 3 miles) it's a beautiful walk which we loved. You can shorten the walk to just a mile if you take the bus from the ski stadium - goes every hour and free with your tourist card. Half board is included in your stay and is delicious- best ever halfboard I've experienced and the breakfasts are perfect taken looking out to the mountains. The Spa is excellent with lots of saunas, relaxation areas and lovely warm outdoor infinity pool, although I would recommending booking treatments before you arrive as appointments fill up quickly especially at weekends. The staff are delightful, and really look after you. This was our first visit but have booked for next year before we left!

A beautiful hotel that leaves nothing to be desired! The location is unique – quickly accessible from Munich and with the gondola in the middle of the mountains you immediately feel secluded from everyday life.
Rooms are spacious, offer great views and are superbly appointed, including coffee maker, tea and streaming services such as Netflix and Prime Video for cosy evenings.
We were also impressed by the free ticket to Partnachklamm as well as the numerous hiking trails and huts in the area. An all-round relaxing stay – we would love to come back!

The advertising slogan "mountain hideaway" could not be better hit. At the valley station, you don't know what kind of world awaits you above. Far away from everyday stress, a great panorama opens up on the Wetterstein massif. The booked junior suite was very spacious, clean and "wellness-friendly". The swing on the terrace with mountain views was just fantastic.
The arrival is well described after the booking confirmation and everything worked perfectly. Even if I only happened to visit the hotel for the first time in 2022 because of the old Graseckbahn, the joy was all the greater this time. Of course, the new railway cannot keep up with the old railway in terms of its historical value, but the new railway nevertheless relied on proven Swiss technology with a self-service principle, as we also know it in many places in Switzerland. Very well solved and beautifully designed wooden valley station!
Wellness area very nice with various saunas, nice relaxation rooms and cozy seating areas. Infinity pool First-class, even if the water is likely to be a few degrees warmer this time of year, so unfortunately only temporary bathing fun.
Breakfast as well as dinner absolutely top class. Food remains a matter of taste, but quality surprised us again very positively! The many options of orderable food from the kitchen at breakfast we also found very good. Very pleasant but not intrusive service in the restaurant and bar. Great wine recommendations, even from open bottles. Complimentary drinks from the minibar, including daily refills, absolutely retained. We found very good for the spontaneous thirst in between.
The hotel reception was always quickly helped. On request we got tickets for the Partnachklamm, which is highly recommended. We also got terrycloth on request immediately, because we had unfortunately forgotten it at home.
All in all a very nice place, what our unrestricted recommendation gets! Not the cheapest price, of course, but if you look at the overall offer, the price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. As a small further improvement suggestion, we would still like bubble jets in the pool and if necessary cable car service until at least 11 pm, so that you can also go for a drink in the evening in Partenkirchen and still Trips back without problems.
Greetings from Switzerland!

Reception and early check-in after a 6-hour journey were a bit difficult, especially because we had to wait around 2 hours for the room after we arrived and were sent away twice. Early check-in is not a problem at comparable hotels. You just have to prioritize room service after the guests arrive, then it doesn't take longer than 30 minutes. So it was a bad start. It was good that after we complained for the second time, the manager showed up and took care of the matter. In other comparable hotels, we had our room after 5 minutes despite arriving early...
The junior suite had several steps in the middle of the room, very pointless and awkward, especially at night when you have to go out in the dark. What's the point of that?? We actually wanted to go hiking outside the hotel... Also, the sofa half a meter in front of the bathtub in the living room, completely pointless. Who likes to look at the bathtub? It would have been better without a bathtub. To get into bed, you had to climb around it in a narrow corridor, which is not what you would expect from a suite. The terrace flooring was poorly laid and wobbly. The mattresses already seemed very soft and worn out, sagged in the middle, not very back-friendly.
The spa is quite decent, although most of the saunas etc. are only turned on from 3 p.m. In my opinion, they saved money in the wrong place. The spacious and well-heated outdoor pool was a highlight, even when it was raining. The only inconvenient thing was that the spa area was 2 floors away from it.
The restaurant and the kitchen are excellent, and the restaurant staff are well trained and extremely friendly. The only thing that would have been nice was a real carpaccio instead of the carpaccio made from sauerkraut dumplings. Sometimes you got the impression that the desserts were a little inferior to the rest of the 4-course menu.
Overall, in my opinion, overrated and overpriced, despite the beautiful location above the Partnach Gorge. The most annoying thing was the grumpy and clumsy reception staff, who felt they had to repeatedly remind us and explain that regular check-in was not until 3 p.m. We know that ourselves, we can read! How merciful that we finally had our room at 2 p.m.
Just about 4 points.

I chose this hotel for the pool. At reception I was told I couldn't use it until 09.30 in the morning. I like to swim before breakfast, too bad. Also the whole wellness area I did not find very inviting and a bit uncomfortable. The saunas and the relaxation facilities are good though. I just found the area around the showers too dark and too cold. I don't know if there was underfloor heating or if the temperature was just lowered. The reception on arrival was a bit impersonal , but the service team from the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. Also the sommelière is very competent and extremely nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good and dinner excellent. Overall, I lacked attention to detail in this hotel. For example, no beautiful mountain motifs hung in the hallways. The bathrobes and bath bags could not be marked with room numbers on brackets, as in other good hotels. The floor of our room was very dusty upon arrival. The parking lot is very tight, especially if Day SPA guests are added .It would have been nice if that had been communicated on arrival .The parking lot was icy in places and I fell once, thankfully I only had bruises. The area around the hotel and around Garmisch is fantastic and great for hiking. Unfortunately, this hotel has not been for us, despite the excellent restaurant and service staff.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with a really impressive view and walking trails that come out of the hotel. The way to get to the hotel is by cable car, from the moment you feel disconnected from life to relaxation and vacation. The hotel is very romantic with a perfectly heated pool (October) with a crazy view, breathtaking breakfast and dinner. Personally it was harder for me with the naked part of the spa area so I was in the dressing area and the sauna was fine but from the little glimpse I glanced into the spa area it looked like facilities and saunas were stunning. We were upgraded at no extra cost to a room with a bed view of the beautiful mountains around the hotel, I liked all the minibar in the room was free and you could have a light drink on the balcony in front of the view. The staff is very helpful and friendly and explained how to go to Kiki (a very impressive route and close to the hotel) which is given free admission through the hotel. What I would improve is the steering on the way to the cable car park because there are not enough signs and there are a lot of signs in German that tourists are unclear and we got a little trouble on the way but we finally found the cable car after a little trouble. For good cost-benefit, you get a lot.

Dear GF18,
sorry for the late answer. We are looking forward to welcome you at our mountain hideaway. To get from the train station to our cable car it takes 10 min. by taxi. It is about 15 €.
Our hotel is a mountain hideaway directly in the mountains, access by cable car. The cable car runs from 7am - 10pm, hotel guests go for free. From the cable car to down town it is by car 10 min, by food 30 min.
Hiking is just right now wonderful. All the routs are open again after the lots of snow. There are about 10 different hiking routs, starting directly at the hotel.
The SPA area with saunas an steam bath are nude area in the saunas. Out of the saunas bathrobes are common. The small relaxing pool with fantastic view in the mountains is direct next to the SPA area an it is a textile zone. There you can refresh. The Pool is outside, but you enter it from the textile zone.
We hope, this answer could help a little.
We wish a good arrival an send best regards from the winter wonderland.
Hope to meet you soon.
Dr. Weingart
