Nice hotel, locates on quiet street, several minutes only walk to Kurhouse and Wander halle - main resort park and gallery. Hotel provides good breakfast. There is no lift in building, for one who has physical problems - ask room on lower floor ( upper floor rooms are renovated). Hotel provides free parking, but very narrow, it is difficult to maneuver on parking lot.
I would give 5 stars if it had air conditioning. That was the main draw back when temperatures exceeded 30 degrees. Very hot temperatures are not uncommon in the Alpine Summers and global warming is making it much more common. I know that air conditioning is not common in this class of hotel in Germany (and in England) but it's time hoteliers kept up with the times. Other than that it was a wonderful hotel. A single room of a decent size is very unusual and the wardrobe space, balcony (on which it was too hot to sit out unfortunately), wall safe, bathroom cabinet and Nespresso machine were all uncommon features which added to the high quality of the room. As usual in Germany breakfast was of a very high standard. The bed was of a reasonable size and comfortable and I slept well despite the heat. The price paid was very reasonable and it is very well located near the station. There is no restaurant in the hotel but lots of very good restaurants nearby. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. …
+ Spacious rooms with balcony. + Very nice backyard. + Great location, perfect surroundings. Chilled atmosphere. + Nice decorations, fascinating moss decorations in rooms and in stairs. + Top breakfast. + Friendly service. - No washing-clothes service All in all a top stay. Would definitely come back here if I’ll ever return to Berchtesgaden.
Disposition of Almrausch hotel is excellent - center of city, quiet, safe and convenient for guests. There are warm atmosphere in the hotel, thanks to their staff. They have very good services, hotel, rooms are clean. Good breakfast. Hotel administration and staff are friendly and ready to help you in case of necessity.
We settled on the Hotel Almrausch for a one-night's stay that would allow us to better explore Bad Reichenhall. The staff offered a friendly welcome and a just-right room for an overnighter. The free on-site parking fit our budget, and we found our fellow guests to be friendly despite our deficient German-language skills. My husband loved the proximity to the Rupertus Therme, and the adjoining park, and we both enjoyed the quick walk to stroll the pedestrian shopping area (particularly the Reber chocolate store and cafe). The breakfast buffet was varied, but perhaps not in a way these two Americans could fully appreciate.
