The spacious bar is ideal for conversations, the breakfast buffet is varied and balanced
The rooms could be a little bigger to allow for more storage space - but they are clean, modern with good beds and soundproofing
A group of 5 of us staying for two nights to attend a trade show arrived at 7pm local time, along with half of our flight! The three ladies on reception were efficient, calm & welcoming, attending to several tired & weary travellers from all over the world!
Rooms were small, but more than acceptable for a couple of nights on business. They have air con but can still get quote warm at night. The rooms facing the main road at the back of the hotel cam be noisy with the windows open, so something to bear in mind. No water or tea & coffee making facilities, but both of these can be obtained at the bar - which is pretty much 24 hour.
Bathroom was adequately sized, with good wwater pressure & plenty of hot water.
The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but the staff are ready with suggestions & are more than willing to book tables & taxis when needed. If returning to Stuttgart wouls
Room doesn’t even have basic glasses to drink water. So absolutely nothing just a bed with some lighting. TV which doesn’t play any standard channel and a table /chair. No cupboard/ almira.
It might be an ideal hotel for a sleepover, however it is not worth to stay there more than night.
Breakfast is very standard English breakfast, no hot items. Just boiled eggs and different kinds of breads along with tea, coffee, milk and juices.
But on positive side, it has good mattresses, pillows and quilt, so good sleep :-)
We booked room only so can’t comment on breakfast however the room was ideal for my 12 year old son and I for 2 nights.
Hotel bar was aldo nice with a few tvs showing the matches.
Cons: the rooms are too small and claustrophobic. There is no wardrobe to store clothes. Little space to move. Terrible room cleaning service. A cleaning lady didn't leave us enough towels for two, she took our room key left inserted to charge our cell phone. Reprimanded by my husband, he pretended not to understand, but then gave him exactly our key to enter. Breakfast not rich: there is nothing hot. Just cold. The price of €17 doesn't justify it. On New Year's Eve I was woken up at 6.00 by a couple arguing in Arabic on our floor. Nobody intervened. Location outside the center although with the tram in front.
Unfortunately, the room was only equipped with a narrow (1.60 m) bed.
When asked about this, the two employees at the reception told us
that it is because we have booked through Booking.com. Booking.com would allegedly only submit the room booking per se, but no additional information. We should make such additional requests directly to Motel One in the future. We were very surprised by this statement. It seems hard to imagine that a major hotel Booking Referral Portal and a major hotel chain would allegedly not exchange essential information of a booking.
The king size bed was not a non-binding special request, but firmly committed in the Booking Referral.
It’s on city side, so you need to use tram for going in centre
Some problems of rooms are:
- rooms are small
- there is no fridge
- you can hear everything here
