The elegant 4-star superior hotel ARCOTEL Camino is located in the heart of Stuttgart. The historic facade of the building that was once home to the bathing facilities of the "Post¬dorfle", the first workers’ housing estate in Stuttgart, has been pre¬served in its original state while the warm, earthy tones and contempo¬rary furnishings used in the interior create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The ARCOTEL Camino in Stuttgart is inspired by the legendary Way of St. James, the "Camino de Santiago", which has been a symbol of encounters of all kinds for more than a thousand years. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk away from the main railway station and the Konigstraße shopping street and within easy reach of many of the city’s sights and cultural attractions. It has 168 rooms, each one with aircondition, Flatscreen TV, Minibar, Safe and Wi-Fi. An energy-packed, varied breakfast buffet awaits the guests on each morning. The hotel has as well a fitness and wellness area.

Stayed here two nights whilst attending a course being held in the hotel.
We found the hotel within an easy walk of the railway station and were greeted by friendly staff, who convinced us to upgrade to a superior room with a small but free minibar and nespresso machine.
Our room was large and clean enough but what we really enjoyed was the good quality breakfast buffet, and good slect of Gins and Whisky's at the bar.

We stayed twice for a total of 2 nights in this great Hotel during our trip to Austria in 2018. We had booked the Apartment which was perfect for us and our two children since we could put the 2 kids to bed and still eat comfortably in the seperated dinning area and get a good sleep in in the other separated bedroom before continuing our trip to Austria.
The apartment has a large Kitchen/Dining Area in the middle between 2 seperate bedrooms who both have their own bathroom. We used only one, but when the kids are older (our oldest was 4 at the time of visit) this is a great way for everybody to be together but still have their privacy in a combined Hotel room with all amenities.
We'll stay here again if we either plan a trip to Stuttgart or need a stop on the road even if it means that we have to make a little detour, since the Hotel isn't directly on the highway but the Hotel and the space it offers as well as the fair price is worth it.
We also used the Room-Service which was perfect, Dinner and Breakfast.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center and tucked away from the main street. It’s so named because of the décor theme which is the El Camino Real or Way of St. James to Compostela. It had a spacious airy lobby. In the room, the only design concession is the artistic drawing of pilgrims above the bed headboard.
The room we were given was on the top floor and was unusually large – you could lay-out 12 large luggage side by side and still have lots of room to walk around. The size is accented by the spareness of room furniture in such a large space. Aside from the bed, there was a sofa, an armchair, an ‘incliner’ (a strange piece of rest-lounger), a long desk, a luggage table, and a short ottoman which we presumed would serve as the work chair as well. On the built-in night stands were cute modern lamps, similar in design to the floor lamp by the sofa. The TV had a very small screen – and there were no English language channels available at all. There was a coffee maker, a safe, but they had a handset without any instructions on how to call reception.
The T&B was the opposite of the bedroom – it was small and the toilet bowl was the first thing you saw in front of you when you opened the door – not the best design since you always wanted to see the wash basin first.
Temperature control was a problem – we couldn’t figure out how to make the room temperature warmer.
Breakfast was at the lower ground – you had to walk a long corridor to get to it. Food had good variety – there was a whole fish that you picked from, they had very nice fruits, lots of bread types, lots of coffee types, but mostly self service unlike in other hotels. The head waiter was rather curt too, not a very good representative for the hotel. Unlike, say, Luca at Reception, who was quite friendly.

Overall disappointed with the service at this hotel. I certainly wouldn’t call it 4 star. Travelling as a family we had a few extra requests which we’d made in advance, none of which were in place when we arrived. The staff mainly behave as if customers are a bit of an inconvenience with most requests responded to with an eye roll or shrug of the shoulders. The carpet in the corridors is stained and the ceiling was leaking in the breakfast room. On the plus side, the food in the restaurant was nice, the shower gel smells pleasant and the car park is convenient and secure.

I’ve stayed in the Camino many times over the last few years and it is by far my favourite hotel in Stuttgart.
All the staff are great, most rooms are spacious and always clean. Bar and restaurant pushes out consistent, well cooked food, lovely breakfasts, nice touches like fruit and water in the rooms and the gym is well maintained and although small I have never had an issue getting access.
Finally location is perfect for Hauptbahnhof and my office.

A beautiful location with friendly staff, but poor quality. TV and fridge in my room where broken, furniture damaged and it was not very clean (blood smear and lots of black hair in the bathroom).
Use of the wellness and fitness area for an additional charge, and no hint where to find or how to use it.
Breakfast was quite good, but not exceptional and rather expensive.

Booked this hotel after walking out of the one we already checked into, that was rubbish.
From the moment we walked in you could just tell this was going to be a nice stay. Very clean, sanitizer everywhere, good AC, Polite staff, lovely furniture & amenities. Stayed the one night, didn’t have breakfast, speedy check in & check out, secure car park. Given advice where to eat in the area. Just a very pleasant stay, would definitely return.

We stayed for one night in April 2023. The hotel is 10 minutes walk up hill from the main station. We arrived early and were checked in quickly and given our room. Room on 3rd floor had beautiful high ceiling, was spacious and modern. Lovely shower and great toiletries provided. Comfortable bed and a really peaceful nights sleep. Would stay again. Thank you

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Faye went out of her way to assist us. Breakfast was standard. Very close to most amenities including a shopping mall. Lovely bar area. Dinner served are tapas, never at on site so can’t comment on food. Rooms are pretty standard, but comfy

Probably about 10 minutes with a small child on tow.
Dear Liz,
Thank you for your interest. There are public parking spaces around the hotel. Especially at the "Vordernbergstraße". It costs EUR 7,2 per 24 hours. But you need to renew your ticket every day, because the maximum of time for one ticket is 24 hours.
The sauna is free for hotel guests.
We hope you will visit us soon and we wish you the best until then. Bon Camino, Peter Leidig, General Manager
Dear Mr. Wang,
Yes we have a few three bed rooms avaiable. These are double or twin bed rooms with an additional couch, which can be set up as a sleeping couch/a bed.
As we only have a few, please ask our reservation department, if one of them is avaiable dor your wished period. We would be happy to welcome you and we are wishing you all the best up until then.
Bon Camino, Irina Kümmerer, Guest Relation
Dear wjng,
Thanky for your question. It takes about 10 minutes by walking to get to the main station. Just walk through the buildings of the bank (LBBW). So there´s no difficulty to get your train at 5.30. Bon Camino, Peter Leidig, General Manager
