Cannot recommend this hotel enough! The rooms are big, tastefully decorated, with bathrooms that are spacious with separate restroom for additional privacy. The hotel is right across the airport, but the rooms are silent. There is a McDonald's close by for late night dinner, as the hotel diner closes early. The hotel also gives you a very large bottle of free sparkling water, very welcome, along with bedside Ritter chocolate. The prices are reasonable, and the car rentals are just steps away.

Have traveled a fair bit to Stuttgart recently, and office is near the airport. This hotel is ideally located if you need to be in the location, ie your office is nearby, or you are attending an event at the Messe. Given options in the area - this is BY FAR the best and reasonably priced. Don't expect spectacular views, but the rooms, overall hotel and restaurant are quite good for business purposes. The breakfast is excellent.
Also to note, it is easy to walk the 2 mins to the airport to catch a train into the center of Stuttgart or anywhere else you may need to go. There is also a decent grocery store and bakerei in the airport.
Stayed there multiple times in May and June 2022 and each time the staff went above and beyond.

I’ve been staying at this hotel for the last six years on and off for business and I have to say of all the hotels it has the best location when using the Stuttgart airport. That being said my recent experience has made me want to start staying the night in Stuttgart and dealing with the 20 minute taxi ride to the airport. During my most recent stay the room I checked into smelled like an ashtray having arrived in the evening I tried to use the restaurant which had been closed for a private event and when I went to the hotel bar was told that they couldn’t serve me because the kitchen was too busy. The only key advantage to this hotel is the location and the services that it offers and in this case I paid twice what I would normally for a room with no services and inability to have access to restaurants. I strongly recommend that when you’re using the Stuttgart airport that you stay downtown where the hotels are cleaner and there’s more services available the taxi drive in the morning is only 20 minutes well worth it in this case

the shower was not draining properly. I called the “Guest Service” on the room phone but nobody answered. I hung up and called room service they answered and told me to dial 99 for “Front desk” again no answer. After a nice while of it ringing I decided to just go down stairs. The gentlemen was nice and professional but it ended there as the room had a shower drain issue that they could not resolve. I was given two options change into a non connected room or just use the shower in the connected room I had. Well what’s the point of paying for two rooms if I have to stand in line to use the shower next door? I paid to have a connected because I have a child staying in the connecting room. Anyway, The room felt musty like the AC was not up to standard, I’ve stayed here every time I fly out early for the past 7 years, but I am seeing the standard drop, as so should it’s 4 star rating…. FYI it’s room 4140 if anyone is wondering what room it is. At least that way you know the need to shut off the shower every 10 seconds to let the water drain to prevent a flood. I paid for two connecting rooms I guess I should have requested that they had two connecting working showers as well.

We knew that travelling during the covid would be quite an experience, yet we were eager to go on our european road trip from geneva to paris to belgium to amsterdam to hamburg, to berlin and to stuttgart. During all these hotels stays, we adjusted to the measures. These went from full (and free) mini bar in the rooms to nothing at all (not even a bottle of water).
The most disappointing however was the Movenpick in Stuttgart as we booked this stay only a couple of days before our arrival. We had chosen this one for its sports and wellbeing facilities as this was our last halt on the way back. At no point did they inform us that the hotel restaurant was closed and that all facilities were completely shut. We could not even have chips with our drinks from the bar.
This was a ghostly hotel, on our floor all the rooms on the left wing were empty and front doors all open on the corridor. We wondered if they had an issue with sewage as the smell on the floor was overwhelming.
Anyhow, the price we paid for our stay was full price.

Dear Guest, First of all we would like to thank you for your most recent stay at our Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport and your honest feedback on TripAdvisor. We read your review attentively and now would like to touch up to some points. It is true that due to this exceptional situation we were not offering chips or other snacks with our drinks at the hotel bar for a few weeks. This was a safety measure to reduce touch points and grant more protection for our guests. However we were and are offering a menu with a wide variety of food items. Furthermore we were forced to close some of our facilities, this included our Restaurant Trollinger and the spa area. However our Message Bar & Café was open with an offering of both – food and beverage all day until 10 p.m.. Of course we’ve updated this information online as well on google and our official website, also we are informing all of our guests during check in about the current opening hours. We regret that you did not receive any information about this and would like to deeply apologize for the inconvenience. We also would like to mention that this exceptional situation in which we find ourselves currently is also a major challenge for our property. We always try our best to provide our guests a safe and still comfortable environment. We regret if the way we are doing this left a bad impression to you. We are a bit surprised on your comment regarding the open doors of empty rooms. Due to fewer bookings in August we keep the doors to some of our empty bedrooms opened to allow a better air circulation however only in the closed wing and not in areas where we rented out rooms and guests are present. We hope that it did not happen on the used guest room floor. Concerning your comment regarding a bad smell in the corridor we thank you for the hint and have already informed our housekeeping team and will investigate immediately. As an additional information I can inform you that due to the time of the year and our current situation the prices are reduced by 25% even though the requirements due to the Covid situation are much higher than before. We were travelling to the resort with our 3 kids last month and we did the reservation using booking.com
When we arrived it took a while till the staff was able to find us in the guest list.
As it was midnight when we arrived it would have been good that the staff would be more efficient. Seems that the girl at the counter was just out of the training course…
Bedrooms was clean and large as usual…
The bad surprise came when we asked for the parking fees that was not included.
The staff told us that we did not choose the option stay and fly and that for one week it will be 204 euro extra!
The night was 150 for 5 and extra parking fees were really exaggerated.
The funny thing is that friends of me came the day after and parked their car for the same duration.
Bedroom was charge 150 and parking 48 euro for the same week!
Because of that, I can really tell you that the hotel does not behave in a fair and honest way.
We were used to come to Movenpick before our plane, but because of the trap the organised, we will definitely change our plan for next time.

All in all not to recommend.

Booked for 2 persons and requested an early check in twice before we arrived, no reply. The rooywas made for one person….
Breakfast was OK, but the egg station is extremely slow and owercrowded, we had to wait about 20 minutes for a simple egg dish.
Dinner: very poor buffet dinner, no fresh meat dishes, just a simple salad buffet with some hot dishes like veggie lasagne and creamy pasta.
Had to ask the waiter for a table, had to ask for cutlery, had to ask 2 times for napkins, had to ask 3 times for bread, and so on.
All this for an extreme overprice, 130 € for 2 persons with a very simple wine.
The room service lady was extremely kind and polite, we really liked her!
Other staff was indifferent.
