Detailed Reviews
Location is good, I guess pricess a bit increased during corona time. Single room price was 59€ without breakfast and you need to pay additional 10 for second person in the same room. Underground carpark is a good advantage. They charge 10€ daily. Wifi was perfect without password. Breakfast was 7,5€ and plates with food for each person prepared in the kitchen in adavnce and receptionist serving your plate. Coffee maker and boiled eggs are placed on common desk.
I stayed at the first floor in room 106. Although I'm not a disabled person it was a disabled room. It was clean and confortable however middle window was not closing properly. I'm an engineer and applied some methods to close it without success. Room was a bir noisy all night due to sligtly open window. Bathroom light was not operating as well. I've reported these next morning I hope they fix.

Ok, it must be said that the hotel is in an excellent position to reach the Cannstatter Volksfest, however it is an uncomfortable and somewhat sad accommodation, the rooms are reminiscent of hospital rooms and even seen from the outside it looks like a structure similar to a retirement home. WC, sink (in the room) and shower (fixed, non-adjustable) separated from each other are very uncomfortable and senseless, toilet paper and towels counted, hairdryer absent. There is no wardrobe to store your stuff and not even a safe.
For two people with two suitcases the habitability is already at the limit, let alone for three...
Apart from these limitations it is tidy and clean.

The hotel itself is very good. The only defect is the sink inside the room which I don't mind. It's not central, you have to take a taxi from the train station to get there and the cost is 20 euros, because I can't walk heavy The station is under renovation and I didn't know when I booked. Otherwise, there is a metro station (u6) right outside, which I used the other times to go to the center.

When reading the reviews where people had a not good experience I noticed that they received a standard answer, not even tackeling the issue mentioned. So I know what to expect on my review: A standard response, that says, we don't really care.
I stayed in this hotel last night and the night before and today I had to organize a high-level event in Feuerbach at my work. I was dead-tired and frustrated about last night, so never again Ibis Budget.
After coming back from dinner to the hotel my colleague and I noted a packed lobby with teenagers from another country. We went to our rooms and there was ongoing loud shouting in the hallway at 23 h. I went out in my pyjamas and faced drunk and maybe drugged partying teenagers running through the hallway. Talking to them did not bring any results, so I took the one elevator (the other one was broken) down from 7th floor to the lobby, where the receptionist told me that he is alone and can't leave his desk. Interesting, dear Ibis Hotel, that you can accept over 100 teenagers
(number confirmed by the receptionist), but only provide one member of staff. It is obvious to anyone, that there should be more staff present with such a high number of youngsters. I don't want to do the math, what your income was for that night. After midnight it was sort of quiet. I think, he called for help himself.
I went back up to my room and wanted to take medicine before trying to sleep with my earpluggs. I noted that there was no water. I went to bed without and was very frustrated. This morning I mentioned this (and the remaining 2 issues) to a lady receptionist and she said the water was off in the entire block and they knew about it beforehand. Why on heaven's earth are you not telling that to your guests when they check in? Do you just not care???
The third thing was that my colleague was asking several times for a hair dryer and never got one as they only have a very low number of them and it's first come first serve. I didn't even bother to ask for one.
When mentioning quietly all three aspects to the lady receptionist when checking out, she appeared to be trying to find excuses for all of these things, instead of any apology or a sense of appreciation that I was dealing with all of that in a rather quiet way. I rather had to explain to her that I wanted to help her see the customers perspective on this. Customer Service is also about admitting that things went wrong, making a serious effort to change it and to be able to say I AM SORRY, but this does not even come to their mind. It seems that Ibis Budget is set up as a money machine, no matter what. Never again!
Thank you for your generic answer, that I might get on this platform.

Dear 653ruthm, No, you will not receive a general answer, just as all other answers are not generated but written by employees. However, we ask for your understanding that in view of the large number of reviews, many of which are the same, we cannot always write something completely unique in the answers. For example, when guests complain about the room size and furnishings and do not take into account that we are a budget hotel, which is why we are often used by school classes and youth groups on city breaks. In any case, we sincerely apologize for the deficiencies and human errors that unfortunately caused inconveniences for you. We appreciate your honest critique which will be the basis for discussions within our local team - and a careful evaluation of the root of these problems. On behalf of the entire team, we would like to ask you to come back once more for an opportunity to prove to you that we can do a much better job. We would be honored to welcome you again at Ibis budget Stuttgart City Nord. Best regards, The team of the ibis budget Stuttgart City Nord

Cheap rooms, by the U-Bahn and easy parking. The usual Ibis Budget rooms, but great for one or two-night stay to see the city. Easy access to the city Euro 2.95 single one way on the U-Bahn. Euro 13.28 Uber to get back.

Basic but clean. Room was good. Proximity to underground was excellent!
Options of food from vending machine were fine.
Free internet was undependable and terrible!
Breakfast was too expensive for the variety offered.
Only one elevator was working so we had to wait each time to go up or down.

Stayed one night, was okay. Nothing special. Breakfast is alright, bed was ok. No bathroom, just a shower cabin, a toilet stal and a sink. Toilet was dirty though. Very big pro: U-bahn entrance in front of the hotel.

Terrible quality and irresponsible staff.
Due to the irresponsible staff I like a tramp in Stuttgart at 2olock. And waste 270 euro to find another hotel at midnight. I reserve the hotel before 2 week and they send me email reservation secussful. Before i am coming to stuttgart i give a call to IBIS hotel to tell them i will arrive later and they tell me fine no problem. But when I arrive, the staff told me no room!!! What!!! I have reservation and when I arrive you told me no room. It's midnight you tell me no room and you never give me any message. Speechless angry!
The most important, the manner tone of staff has problem. He speaked rudely. very rude. The location is vey far.

The hotel is based at a very loud and busy street so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the street. The room had the design of a hospital room, with only the necessary basics. Which would be okay but not for € 128 per night. This hotel is like a mixture between a hostel, a caravan (the shower) and a hospital - okay for one night .....

No, there’s not. Ibis Bugget standard rooms are quite simple...
We didn't travel by plane, so It's didn't paypal attention to the distance. From the Porsche museum it's not that far, but would recommand public transport (stop is right in front of the hotel) of a taxi
Tip: about 1km walking distance from the hotel you'll find killisbergpark,: beautiful park when in need of rest 😏
yes parking available, but would not risk the box. very low underground
they can give if you ask to the reception
Yes there is...
