Hotel's Favourite
Visiting the Christmas market and probably should have chosen the Hamton hotel due to location. Much construction at hbf and bad cannstatt (the 2 train stations necessary), so it caused very much walking just to get to hotel, and the only way to get close to the hotel was to change to bus 45, which was quite a walk to catch and take to train station... so extremely inconvenient for city centre activities. Recommend the HGI offer a seasonal shuttle to Christmas market.
Everything else was good except heating in room was too high and could not be turned to a comfortable position. We finally just turned it off even though it was snowing outside so that we could sleep.
Breakfast was very nice, although front desk told us there would probably be sparking wine on Sat. morning, but there wasn't. Buffet was wonderful with make-your-own-waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, and much more, or cooked-to-order eggs, omelet, etc.
Beds comfy, shower very nice except glass doesn't completely enclose shower and you need to be careful not to get the bathroom floor wet. Hot water was wonderful.

Overall a very nice stay.
The Good:
Very close to the Mercedes Museum and the football park.
Front desk staff was really nice and helpful
Parking was easy and abundant
The room was clean, spacious and even though we were right across from the elevator we couldn’t hear a thing!
The OK:
Signage to get in the parking area is tough from the front as some areas are closed and some are open. If you miss it go around to the back and you’ll find parking!
Breakfast was only OK despite the front desks assertion it would be marvelous!!
Not close to a lot of restaurants for waking. It plenty of options for a little drive.
The bad:
Nothing!

We used the hotel as an overnight accommodation after the concert in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. The underground car park under the hotel is practical - but at €18 per night you have to pay for it.
Check-in was quick and friendly. The not exactly cheap rooms are clean, practical and spacious and the bathroom is in good condition. The air conditioning is a bit loud.
Unfortunately, we had a completely different experience in the restaurant. There were apparently conferences taking place on the same day, which the crew was absolutely unable to handle. Guests waited up to 75 minutes for their food, orders were delivered incorrectly despite asking. The waiter had no idea what the difference was between a wheat beer and a light beer. We also had to make ourselves known three times to pay.
The whole thing got even worse after the concert... The bar was actually supposed to be open until 1 a.m. - but the staff really disgusted the 20 or so guests at 11 a.m. There was no more ice cream, Aperol was all gone, most of the beers were sold out, the Martini was empty, etc. - it turned out that there was still a bit of everything. When we asked about the problems, a service employee told us that she had been working for 10 hours and that she had had enough...
Apart from the dry bacon, breakfast was fine. For €20 per person, however, you would have expected a bit more variety (e.g. a vegan alternative). You should avoid anything that was declared as orange juice - it is definitely not juice.

This hotel is a real disgrace to the Hilton brand and does not meet the normally high quality standards of the Hilton hotels. I stayed one night in this hotel with my family of 4 on the road to Austria.
As a Hilton HHONORS Diamond I did not receive any special welcome. We also did not receive any complementary room upgrade although the hotel was almost empty. Even worse, although we booked a room for 4 persons, the room was only prepared for 3 persons. We had to wait a long time to get it prepared which was not helpful since we arrived late in the evening for a short night stop on the road to Austria. Complementary water was not available. The hotel also looked rather dirty and worn out.
The breakfast was the worst. Our 12y and 14y old children (both fully vaccinated) were denied access to the (totally empty) breakfast room because they received their vaccination more than 3 months ago and according to the hotel would need a PCR test to access the totally empty breakfast room. The hotel did not show any flexibility to allow us to have breakfast in an area where nobody else was sitting. It is totally unacceptable that a hotel belonging to the Hilton brand discriminates against fully vaccinated young children (no approved booster vaccines are available for children younger than 18). The hotel was also not helpful to find another solution for us. The hotel also failed to inform us in advance on this new children-unfriendly policy since the hotel did only sent us a mail a few days before our stay about the 2G rule which should have been ok since we are all fully vaccinated (adults with boosters) and EU rules allow the COVID certificate to stay valid for 9 months. The personnel working at the breakfast looked uninterested and was very rude against us (they seemed happy that nobody was at the breakfast and could therefore lean back during working hours).
Avoid this hotel if you can, it does not meet Hilton standards and discriminates against small children without any health reasons!
I am also considering to file an official legal complaint against this hotel since it is totally unacceptable that they discriminate against young children for who no booster vaccines are available!

As the first time in Stuttgart it was difficult to know exactly how far the hotel was from the city center, when we arrived we realized that this was not where we wanted to be. We had a reservation for 3 nights but we knew that with 2 small kids, this location was not the most convenient. We talked to the receptionist twice, We wanted to cancel everything or at least 2 nights, we could stay the first night after flying from Stockholm (we were tired) the first thing we were informed was that we have to pay anyways... which we understand but is all about how you present this to your guest and how you meet their needs, the receptionist was nice but couldn’t take any desition so we talked to the Supervisor who instead of trying to help us giving us recommendations or motivations to stay, asked us in an arrogant way “but why do you want to leave?” Anyways, we ended up staying 1 night and checking out the next day, paying for 2 nights. When I asked for the cancellation policy I was told that they don’t have it and that it should be on my email. We understand the cancellation policy, and that you have to pay, but the way the met our needs it was without the “service in mind” we expected from Hilton. As a person that work in the industry (Scandic Hotels AB) I was very disappointed with how we were treated.

Chose this hotel because we were visiting the Mercedes museum, and this is very close by. However getting in and out of Stuttgart by public transport was much more of a faff than I’d thought. There is a U bahn station close by but it only operates for big games at the adjacent sports stadiums, so that leaves you reliant on either the bus, the S bahn which is quite a long and boring walk, or the U bahn at Schlachthof which is a good 20 minute schlep over the river. It’s okay but not ideal, especially with luggage. Avoid travelling to/from Bad Canstatt which is a pretty unpleasant walk.
The rooms were okay but nothing very special, and were stuffy. The AC didn’t work very well and had a bright green light on the console which kept us awake at night. In fact the worst thing about staying here was the poor quality sleep I had every night. The TV had loads of channels, but only about ten of them actually worked. The bathroom was nice though. I paid about €130 a night and I thought that was too high a price for the quality and location.
I would recommend staying elsewhere. The hotel is in a rather strange area which is often quite dead, and not particularly pleasant or convenient. It can also be quite loud after an event.

Had a suite for one night. One sink was broken and could not be fixed because technician is in weekend. There were no glasses available to drink anything. Had to request such from reception and found out that they took it away because of corona. Why not put clean glasses in the room before guest arrive? Also I would expect the room to be setup for number of guests as per reservation - if I have to fold away the additional bed first before I can sit down on the couch (which is the foldable bed) I think the job is poorly done. But worst was the self service breakfast during corona period... a real mess with people touching everything. But everything was clean and the sauna a nice feature.

Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
On Friday, September 1, 2023, during my check in process. I specifically asked the front desk workers if I could park on the street and they assured me that I could park the car there without any problems. One of the people who I spoke with at the front desk was Roza. The next morning, at around 9:30am on September 2, 2023, I went outside to get my car and noticed that it was about to be towed away by a tow truck. When I asked traffic control clerks what happened (fortunately one of them spoke English), they informed me that I was not allowed to have my car parked there starting from 9:00am. I got them to agree to not tow away my car, but they told me that I would get a ticket issued for 500 euros and I should receive it through the car rental company.
I don’t speak German and completely relied on the information that was provided to me at the front desk during my check in process, which was communicated to me in English. Notice at the front desk was in German only. There was nothing about street closure in English.
When I talked to Roza at the check in counter the next day, she apologized for what has happened and it looked like during our check in process she forgot that the next day after our check in there was a game and there were parking restrictions. That was the reason she did not provide this information to us during the check in. She told us, she would talk to the hotel manager to see if she could take care of this situation and collected our contact information. Apparently, the next day Roza realized that it was entirely her fault and she would be fired or penalized for this and then told the manager that she had informed us of the parking restrictions but we ignored her advise. The hotel manager took her side and stated that the staff was highly trained and it was not their fault, and refused to compensate us for the ticket. While searching other hotel reviews on google, I found that the same thing happened to someone else a year ago.
In addition, on Friday, Sept 1, 2023 around 9.30pm we wanted to call the front desk, but the phone in the room was not working (no signal). We daughter had to get dressed and go downstairs to request an extra sheet. 40 minutes later, we still did not get anything. Then, my wife, after she took a shower, had to get dressed and go downstairs for the 2nd time to request a sheet. By the way, the phone was not working during our entire stay.
Moreover, when I booked a room, I requested a room on a quiet side of the hotel. It was very unpleasant to see that the hotel gave us a room facing construction side, which started around 8:00 in the morning and woke us up.
The hotel staff caused us serious emotional distress and almost ruined our vacation plans.
If the hotel manager wants to destroy tourism in the area and make people avoid this hotel, then she is executing perfectly!

I booked the hotel as I am a diamond member and we wanted to go to the Mercedes Museum and although it is a nice hotel it is wholly without charm. Check in was pleasant but getting to our upgraded suite was a bit difficult as it involved the lift, a small flight of stairs and then straight though the restaurant and down a long corridor, not easy when you're carrying a weeks worth of luggage in several bike bags. The room was nice, with a sauna but the AC did not work so on our way out to explore the town I asked if they could have a look at it. On our return in the evening we were politely informed that the AC could not be fixed and they could not move us to another room as the hotel was now full, it was not full when we left as we received early check in! Anyway they offered us a couple of free drinks in the bar so we decided to go to the nice outdoor one down the side of the hotel, which was closed for a private function! We went up to the restaurant bar where we sat alone as all the other guests were sitting outside in the sun at the other bar. On returning to our room we had to open the windows as it was very warm to find the outside bar directly under our window, the party was not too bad but the clean up afterwards was extremely noisy! Breakfast was okay but very crowded.

Leaving for Tyrol, and wanting to stop off in Stuttgart to visit the Mercedes and Porsche museums, this hotel seems to be the most practical because it is a 10-minute walk from the Mercedes museum! No other good reason because this clean and well-equipped hotel is rather austere. Be careful, do not park your car along the road under the trees, the birds during the night will decorate it!!

carpark is not free , but is easy to find space in the street , i never had problem to park , is very nice hotel
It depends on if there is an event at the stadium or the arena
Dear guest,
Our hotel is located just outside the city center. Here at the hotel and in the city center there are many opportunities to park. However, most are not free.
