The DORMERO Hotel Stuttgart provides the all-in-one solution for any kind of stay, no matter whether you are traveling to Stuttgart for business or for leisure. The largest of the hotels of the DORMERO Hotel Group is unusual in many respects. Arranged in two blocks, the rooms not only offer a panoramic view over the city of Stuttgart, the hotel is also directly connected to the best known entertainment complex in the region – the SI Center. The large number of free DORMERO standards underline the extreme comfort along with framework program options provided by two musical theaters, the Stuttgart Casino, the wellness area of SchwabenQuellen as well as KANTO Sports. Despite its size, the DORMERO Hotel Stuttgart is not intimidating.

We booked a King size bed room for January 2020 still in November 2019. The check-in was OK and quick, the Sunday late check-out charge is 30 EUR. When we went to our our room we recognized that it was a double room with 2 separate beds. We called the reception and they told that all ok with our room and they will send the housekeeping colleagues for us. They put together the 2 beds and a cover on them. Later we asked this situation at the reception and they told: We can change the room next day but today the hotel is fully booked. It was strange and finally we did not change our room. The colour lighting system did not work in our room during our stay. The free films option was good and the tv had a nice size.
We chose this hotel because we wanted to go to the Schwabienquellen bath. It was strange for us that being Dormero guests we did not have a multiple entrance possibility to the bath within the same they with our daily ticket, but it could be improved somehow, as it would be comfortable for the hotel guests. As per our knowledge the hotel itself hasn't got a sauna or steambath. The parking is a bit expensive, and the hotel has no dedicated parking places for the guests which is a problem if there are theatre and cinema programs. There was only the dark curtain in our room, however there was place for the light curtain too. When we opened the dark curtain we had the pure window. There were several free drinks: beer, apple juice, pepsi cola, water, tea with gin in the room.
For us it was an average hotel with no extras, but everything can be improved.

parking is nearly at a premium, and the elevator to the floor was not working, so we had to schlepp all of our luggage up. The breakfast was good. Its a walk to the Theaters so that is great. There was a somewhat confusing note about the rooms only being cleaned once a week or so.

I really don't know what to think about this Hotel. It is a bit a mix of entertainment/sin city Hotel. A strange mix in my eyes.

Dormero is very big Hotel with a lot to offer, many Restaurants, Spa, Pubs, Bars, even a mini Casino etc. It has a tint of Vagas but in a different, strange style. It is beside Stuttgarts Theater, Trade Center and Cinema. It is I think designed or at least the idea of the founders was to build a Hotel for pretty much everything and every taste, but that did not quiet succeed.

A strange design of white and red colors makes this Hotel look like a fancy, one Hour Vegas Wedding Motel even it has some really potential.
Walkway to the Rooms is I have to say every inspiration to Red Light District. White walls, red carpet and red lights makes me feel strange and uncomfortable.
My Room was not any different, red and white theme, white polished furniture with the option of changing color of ambient lighting!?
Even it was all nice, spotless and clean it left me with a funny feeling of "is there a hidden cam somewhere"!

Breakfast was really nice and the staff was really friendly.
You have no option of parking other than the underground Garage that will cost you I believe 17 Euros per day.

It makes me grin when I think about Dormero, it is a nice and well Managed Hotel, it has some really amazing features but the design and ambient did not appeal to me.

I am Rating this Hotel "Very Good" for its features, friendly staff and many great amenities, not for its interior design!

Reception was OK, but far from friendly. Extremely confusing layout out of the hotel and had a hard time to find my room. Italian restaurant was nothing to brag about. Worst part was the room next to the noisy elevator. I would not know any reason why I would stay in this hotel in the future.

Some strange man was outside the hotel as I walked out, and started shouting at me.
Another poor drunk, I thought.
He started accusing me of kicking a car for some reason.
He slapped my phone when I started filming him.

Upon returning to the hotel, he was behind the counter canceling my reservation.

Dormero has not responded to my complaint.

The only thing positive about this place is it‘s consistency. Unfortunately it is consistently bad. The rooms are shabby and cheap, with the room itself refurbished but already worn, as arranged completely in white and with very cheap materials. The bathrooms are not even touched, so you have a very awkward blend of modern white interior with beige and stoneware in the bathrooms recalling the 80s. Same poor impression in the various restaurants. I tried 3 of them, they are all providing a poor service and unfortunately also a very low level of food quality. The staff is mainly untrained and without any clue, the more experienced personal is lacking any kind of motivation. Last but not least, the overall atmosphere in the SI Zentrum, the home of musicals in Stuttgart, is really depressing.
In a nutshell: a place to absolutely avoid!

We stayed 5 nights. Tried the standard rooms at the Red Wing and the junior suite at the White Wing.

Both rooms were clean and comfortable. Free "limited" minibar. A kettle was provided at request for free. The wifi was free but very slow ! Nice selection of free movies.

You get the impression that the hotel is trying its best to sound cheeky with some inappropriate signs for use as "do not disturb" signs, and providing condoms in the welcome-to-your-room package saying "enjoy yourself ;) " on its cover. The small package also contained a tooth brush and a small shaver. I think it would have been much more appealing to guests if some simple toileters were provided instead of all the exaggerated "enjoy your self ;) " theme.

The view from the rooms was beautiful. On our 3rd day we began to notice a faint dank smell in the slightly damp freshly changed duvet cover which persisted even after the covers were changed on a daily basis. Our interpretation was that the duvet covers were not left to dry fully before they were stored.

The open buffet breakfast was awesome. The Dubliner pub had an outdoors sitting area which we really liked especially at night.

When we first arrived we felt the receptionists were not friendly at all, but that changed when the shift changed and a helpful new group of receptionists started and we felt welcome during the rest of our stay.

The hotel is about 30 min from the city center but we did not mind that.

All in all we would give the hotel a 3.5-4 star rating. A lot of positive aspects but there is potential for improvement. We will consider staying again on our next visit to Stuttgart.

I was there a week for a business trip, so it's far from downtown but you can get easily by train.

I was in the 8th floor in the red wing building, my room was huge (even though is a european hotel) I had everything there the only weird thing there was the color lights.

I don't like the breakfast it was very poor.

Try to go to Dubliner for sure you will have a great time there.

Very unpleasant experience. To begin with, the room was clearly not ready for use. I felt like it was a soft opening. From the moment I moved in, I felt uncomfortable, with the ambience of plastic and cheap flooring, unique lighting and bizarre engineering clearly an attempt at art deco, neither welcoming nor easy to navigate. The fitness room is outside the building, at the far end of the complex and with a few pieces of equipment. You have to check out a key (a real key) to get access to this.

How shall I describe this hotel appropriately and in a way that is politically correct? The most diplomatic way to describe this is as a place men visiting Stuttgart might like. I will stop at that.

I found the front desk staff neither welcoming nor accommodating. I requested a late checkout with no for an answer.

I have stayed before in the white wing and found that above average. That was several years ago, so it may also have been updated. I hope not.

This is a really nice hotel on the outskirts of Stuttgart. Luckily there is also UBahn stop just outside the back door if you want to "get off the ship". The hotel reminded us of a cruise ship. There was really no reason to leave--multiple restaurants, bars, a movie theater connected underground, a casino, spa, gym, theater, ATM, coffee shop, etc. etc. all in the complex. The rooms are very comfortable as well. It's proximity to the airport makes it great for business trips. The hotel breakfasts are fantastic!

The only negative thing was our experience with customer service in the White and Red Lounges. As Americans we always expect great customer service and tip accordingly. In Germany there's always the question of "Is it German or is it rude?" Our group experienced serveral acts of overt rudeness, as confirmed by a Stuttgart local with us, by several servers. Getting dessert took two hours one night. We were also told that they were out of certain items to have them served at neighboring tables shortly later. When questioned about it the waiter acted as though he had no idea what we were talking about. Bills were messed up and then correcting them took 30 minutes. One waitress snapped at a friend after a 40 minute wait to get a menu that "she was the only one working." The other hotel staff was great. Since the issues with those lounges occurred with different staff members and over the course of several different nights, I think some customer service training would be helpful.

Otherwise, the hotel was definitely a good experience and we would stay here again.
