Pros :
• Large, clean prestige hotel
• Large comfortable rooms
• indoor swimming pool and spa
• location close to central trainstation and old town
Cons :
• onsite parking 24€/day

I’ve booked 1 weekendday in october directly at the Marriott website as a Bonvoy member with Marriott points.

Our “superior chic room” was large (+-30m²). Classic chic design, comfortable, clean and quiet at night (despite busy road in front of hotel). 2 quality queen beds, 2 pillows/pp. large flatscreen TV. Silent and good AC, free and strong Wifi. Comfortable bathroom was good size, adequate and clean, quality towels, all toiletries provided. Complimentary : small fridge, cof-fee/tea, slippers and bathrobes.

Large modern lobby. Correct and multilingual staff. Checkin and checkout was smoothly. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Fine Spa (sauna, steamroom, swimming pool) and fitness area. Cosy bar.

We stayed at the hotel Le Meridien for one night and had to write this review about the professionalism of the staff. From the bell hop, to the check-in, to the waitress at lunch, in the bar, to the wonderful concierge who helped us with local dinner reservations, Gotz Riedel, we couldn’t been more satisfied. We also had an issue with our room safe and a technician was available in 5 minutes. The room was clean and housekeeping was delightful and obviously works hard.
Many thanks for a comfortable stay.

Lovely and comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. The staff always greeted us with a smile and seemed proud of their hotel. The breakfast spread is huge fresh and delicious including omelets upon request if desired. It was very clean. I noticed staff disinfecting tables after each person was done eating. This hotel is about 10 minute walk from the train station. We wanted to go to the Christmas markets and it was a 15 minute walk. The view is blocked by construction. Otherwise a perfect stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I’m the ambassador member with Marriot Bonvey membership. So far this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
First of all, such a dry weather in euro, there is only one bottle of water provided per day, I tried to request one more bottle, they told me it’s chargeable, that ridiculous and not acceptable for being treated like that being a Marriot member.

Secondly, during my check in, the checkin staff read out my room number loudly, this is a basic privacy issue that a hotel is not suppose to expose someone’s room number. The staffs need to be re-trained seriously!!!

The doors were changing into keyless in the middle of my stay. I was not informed before I left the hotel, i had to walk back to the counter to re-activate the key after I was blocked by the door.

all in all, the hotel is no where near 4 stars, I thought I was in a motel with out service.

BIG NO NO!!

Dear pilotonvacation, first of all thank you for being a loyal member to Marriott! We were pleased to had you staying with us. Yes, all our Elite members do receive one bottle of water complimentary per day. I think that is very fair and an appreciation of your loyalty as well. Additional bottles are indeed charged per consumption. As I was with you when you and your group has arrived to the hotel, I can assure that no room numbers were spoken out. This would be indeed a serious breach of privacy and all the staff is aware of that situation and do follow this important standard. Also, upon check in you and your group - as all other guests of the hotel - were provided with information about the change of the doorlocks. Also, there was information at the Elevators to avoid the situation to run back and forth to your room just to find out that the door lock has changed. Nevertheless I do hope you enjoyed Stuttgart and had a good time in the Chinese Restaurant we did recommend to your group, as you still had some hours until your departure. Kind regards, Stefan Hummel Le Méridien Stuttgart

I stayed at this hotel many times in the past. Even though service was never excellent, the location was quite convenient for exploring Stuttgart. However what I had to experience during my latest stay (during Covid-19 pandemic) was appalling and terrifying. Upon checking into my room I noticed numerous contaminations of floor, cupboard, bathroom, chair that proof that this hotel is not taking its responsibilities towards its guests seriously. During normal times such stains would be regarded unacceptable for a 5 Star Hotel. During Covid-19 pandemic this is grossly negligent and jeopardizing the health of the guests staying. I am shocked that a hotel that is a member of one of the largest hotel chains gets away with this. Upon complaining a cleaning lady was sent to remove the stains - no further cleaning was provided.

The location is great. Fairly close to the Central Railway Station, which is about 10 mins walk from the hotel, the hotel upgraded us to a level, very pleasant surprise. The hotel is old, but I like it. Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities include gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna. I personally think this should be re-branded as a JW Marriott

Le Meridien is a great Marriott property that is really close to the Stuttgart train station. Easily walkable and a spacious property. Room service was very good and quick and the breakfast that was delivered to the room was delicious. Great place for a one-night stay or any kind of trip.

Stayed here 1 night, I booked more but reduced my stay. If this is the only 5 star hotel in stuttgart, then there is definitely room for new hotel in this city.
Firstly it is directly on the highway, so if you walk outside the hotel door you are on the side of a highway. The hotel feels a combination of old, or cheap ikea style rooms. The rate of the rooms are not expensive for a 5 star hotel, which then makes sense once you arrive. The room had a strange smell to it and had to leave the window open on entry. There is no room service at the hotel, and a limited bar food menu. The staff are very nice but the whole feel of the hotel is not 5 star, but the city has limited options. A good competitor surly would do very very well !

Dear MichaelaG1948, thank you very much for your stay, even if it got shortened to one day and for your review. Glad, that you mentioned the staff. Thank you very much. Our chic-rooms are renovated in the modern Meridien Stlye and will reflect the new Meridien rooms. Please be assure, that they are not ikea furniture or cheap rooms. Taste is discussable. One likes it, the other is not so fond of it. Dear MichaelaG1948, i cannot revise the experience but would be happy, if you would give us a second chance. I will be your contact. Best Regards from Stuttgart. Marco Jokusch I am very sorry, that you were not satisfied with the stay. Out location is in the city center, easy to reach ba car and train. On one side positive, but on the other side, we do have the street in front of the hotel. As all windows are well sound-proofed, this does not have such a huge impact on the guest.

This is a really nice, modern and clean hotel. My room was spotless as was the lobby. The hotel is connected to a pedestrian bridge that takes you over a busy road and leads to a walking path that takes you to central STU and the train sta in 5-10 min. Don’t need a car or cab. There are signs that you can follow on the path. The parking garage is right under the building. I found the room to be super bright, clean and comfortable. Better than many Marriott branded properties in Europe. Great location, great room and lots of features.

We have stayed 2 nights in this hotel. I looked forward to staying in Le Meridien hotel before the trip, even knowing that there were few
shops open during New Years eve and New Year’s Day holiday. Yet, I was quite disappointed in the arrangement of the hotel. First, it took 20 minutes walk to the city centre, and there were construction sites all around the hotel area, which took extra time to get to the city Center. I think it will be more thoughtful if the hotel can provide shuttle bus services to the city Center, which is quite common as a five star hotel service. On New Year’s Day, some of the museums are opened but generally shops are closed in the city Center. Google map is not quite accurate for the opening hours of each museum and the official websites are mainly German. It will be much better if the hotel can share a list of opened museum to make the journey more convenient. Yes, the decoration reaches the standard of a five star hotel; but as a five star hotel, there is a large room of improvement, and for the reputation of Marriott hotel chain.

Dear eddieleung1009, Thank you for taking the time to review your most recent stay with us. At Le Meridien, we always aim to ensure every guest feels cared for, valued and respected. I was disheartened to learn that your recent stay was shadowed by our service imperfections, which was addressed to our managers. Please rest assured that your most recent experience does not represent the high level of service we work so relentlessly to sustain. In this regard, please accept our most sincere apologies. In hopes to rectify this less than flawless experience with us, we would very much like to welcome you back in the future. Daniel Szabo Veber Duty Manager

I think the only views are towards the Mittlerer Schlossgarten and the inner courtyard. As for the construction, as of July 2022 it is still there, and likely will be for a long time. It's a huge construction project that has been going on for over a decade (is called Stuttgart 21) and still has a ways to go.
