EmiLu is a privately run Design Hotel in the center of Stuttgart with exclusive interior design and a familial atmosphere. The hotel has 90 rooms, 11 of which are suites (six of them with a balcony and five without), a sauna and fitness area, three conference rooms, the Fritz lobbybar, the breakfast restaurant Fritz and Lennarts rooftop location, as well as a parking garage with 29 parking spots.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

The standard room is well appointed although too small to accommodate comfortable seating for two away from the bed. Breakfast is expensive and the hot offering is limited to eggs. Small issues but detail matters at this price point. The location is great for shopping and museums plus there is a large selection of restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy. Front of desk staff are very helpful and the hotel is very clean throughout.

At our breakfast buffet we offer a variety of salami, raw and cooked ham, cheeses, homemade jam and hazelnut cream, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit as well as different breads, croissants, pain au chocolat, chia seeds, linseed, and nuts. Moreover, we serve on request egg-specialties, bacon and one special of the day such as pancakes or bread with avocado spread. Coffee, tea, mineral water and fresh juices unlimited. The price of our breakfast buffet is 22 € per Person. If you are missing something from the breakfast buffet or have any questions, we recommend that you speak to us on site so that many things can be solved right away. We loved our 3 night stay here and can’t fault EmiLu! It was in a lovely part of town - the Dorotheen Quartier and Stuttgart Markthalle are amazing. We also were right next to the Christmas markets which are firmly now our favourites in Europe (and we’ve seen many!!). The hotel design is really trendy yet cosy and functional. The staff relaxed and helpful. While not far from the main station, the walk is a little challenging with luggage while the markets are on. Best to get a taxi. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

First time visit to Stuttgart and wanted to be within walking distance to the markets, restaurants and shops. We arrived via uber from the airport but if you drive there is a multi storey car park close by and I believe the hotel does have underground parking. This small ( 90 bedrooms) modern and clean hotel was ideal. We had suite 601 on the top floor which had a private outside terrace, coffee machine, fridge, bottled water, toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobe, vanity mirror, air climate control, and a rainfall shower. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we weren’t disturbed by the late outside noise and slept really well! We chose to eat out for brunch and dinner as there are some great coffee shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk away. So can’t comment on the hotel breakfast. There is a hotel bar on the top floor with an outside terrace area, there is als a sauna and a gym on the lower level. The hotel has an urban design feel to it with young staff who are friendly and approachable. The markets were bigger than I thought they would be and there was a great atmosphere! Also worth recommending is a visit to the Mercedes Benz museum ! And of course plenty of high end shops on the high street along with Mango, H&M, Primark, C&A, Zara ! A great city to explore!

New hotel. Very centrally located - we were here for just two days to visit Christmas markets. We were able to do so just walking from the hotel. Room was furnished well, shower pressure was good. All in checked a lot of points.
However, there were some misses. Room service never replaced our water (which wasn’t great since they give you only one bottle to start with) or tissues. We couldn’t get the AC to heat up properly - it wasn’t cold / just didn’t get warm.
Overall, we will likely visit again if we are in the region for a short time.

We will put this information on the bottles soon. The air condition in the rooms only works if you leave the room card plugged in. As soon as you open the window, the ventilation stops running. This hotel is located at a convenient location to the shopping areas in Stuttgart. The service is excellent as the hotel staff helped us with most of our transportation services and kept to its promise to inform us of our delayed luggage. Slightly nosy at night but will stop around 11pm as there is an la fresco restaurant opposite. The room is beautiful, big size for business travel and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast spread although is limited, they do take orders with different choices daily. I have no complains. It is an excellent boutique hotel at an excellent location.

Truly enjoyed our stay. Can't beat the location if going to the Christmas markets. The staff was extraordinary, allowing us to check in early, setting up our parking in the adjacent garage, spoke perfect English, and geuninely seemed to care about our experience. The breakfast was very good as well.

Emilu Design Hotel is an awesome place to stay in, beds are comfy and location is perfect. 3 mins walk away from the Konigstrasse Shopping street and key attractions like Markthalle.
The bed and sheets are just the right firmness and shower has good supply of warm water. There’s also hot kettle if you request for it. Parking is available and height limit is 1.9m. My Mercedes Vitto was able to fit, but it was a tight squeeze.

Lovely hotel to look at both outside and in. However there is nowhere to stop in front of the hotel to drop bags and check in. The hotel does have a parking arrangement with private parking building at the back but you can't park there until you check in. I dropped my wife then drove around until I found a park on the street, not easy as it is a busy part of town. In our case they had used up their allocation of carparks so our options were other public carparks, the first one was full the hotel then directed us to another, it was close but still resulted in a short walk back to the hotel in the rain, not ideal. Desk clerk was apologetic but that doesn't change the fact that this is not a good hotel to arrive at in a car. The rooms are designer, but so designer that there is no practical solution to open a bag on other than the floor, which is ok if travelling light but no good if you have bags bigger than a carryon. So, a great hotel if you don't arrive by car and have small luggage, if that's not the case then be prepared for a frustrating arrival and settle in.

We were lucky enough to return to Germany from Australia and stay another 3 nights at EmiLu only 12 months after our first stay. We were thrilled to be back and to see familiar friendly faces amongst the staff. Again our stay was perfect and EmiLu remains a firm favourite for us. We love the little “homely” touches like the lounge space, being able to get drinks from reception at any time, and of course the lovely design and furniture choices. The location is just perfect, close to the amazing markthalle, a 15min walk to the station and everything you need. Ahhh EmiLu, you’ll always have us wanting to come back to Stuttgart to visit!

In this wonderful hotel they did everything right. The design is great, the rooms just perfect, everything worked perfect: the shower the AC. It is situated in the heart of the city but the operable French doors are very good isolated. So it is rather quiet. The rooftop must be great in the warmer season. The stuff is incredible friendly and helpful. The breakfast could not be better. I will always stay there when I am in Stuttgart
