My first visit to Stuttgart Germany. Only realize later that the great Jurgen Klopp also hails from this city. And where Porsche produces their wonderful cars here too!

Arrived via train from Frankfurt, along the way beautiful scenery. Had the chance to visit the night market with lots of street food and drinks + alcohol.

Too bad did not get a chance to visit the Porsche factory.

Stayed here for two nights in January 2015 for business. It was just fine for this time. Had most things needed including free wifi which is not standard in European business type hotels for some obscure reason. Plenty of wardrobe space, room was spacious enough. There is not a lot to do but there is the underground right outside which will take you to the town centre within about 15-20mins. The one thing I really dislike is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Other than that it is not bad.

Beds comfortable, rooms quiet and breakfasts very good. Disappointing that they still allow smoking in and around the bar. Wall of smoke spoilt a couple of champions league matches. Evening dinning ok but I would say the menu was a little bit limited however all in all I had a good time at the Kongresshotel. Pity you had to pay extra to use the sports centre.

My family and I stayed here 12/26/14 - 01/08/15. We thought the hotel was great! We were in town for the holidays vising family and being just steps from UBahn was so helpful to meet them. My mother is in a wheelchair so the newer elevator to the UBahn was very helpful. The hotel sells 3 day UBahn passes for a reasonable amount otherwise the daily group ticket was good and can be purchased in the station. The hotel gave my family a ticket to enter the parking garage to pick us up so mom didn't have to walk the stairs in the front.

There are many stores, ALDI, LIDL, Marktkauf, etc just a short 10-15 min walk away or ride the streetcar to Feuerbach Bahnhof then it's just minutes away. We were able to pick up a few things to have in the room.

The restaurant in the hotel was very good. Very traditional German dishes along with others. The presentation and taste was fabulous! Breakfast buffet was very nice each morning. It included breads, wurst, cheeses, jams, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, muesli, and an assortment of juices. Very typical German breakfast (at least with my family) and was delicious. I saw breakfast in the room was also possible but we chose to eat in the restaurant.

The staff was very warm and welcoming. Our cleaning lady was so nice. My mother is blind and she understood that and was always careful to replace her things in the same spot after cleaning. The room was always cleaned very well.

We visited the spa many times which is also included in the price. There are a few workout machines, sauna & steam room as well as a large tub and feet tubs.

Free WiFi in the rooms you just need to get a login and password from the front desk as it's only good for 24 hours.

Overall this hotel was wonderful and we will definitely stay there again!!!

The hotel was excellent for our purposes. Our son was located on Robinson army base and we could walk up the hill, somewhat steep, to his place. Of course, we needed our military visitor passes.
Hotel is near the Ubahn. Warning, we thought we used the ubahn machine correctly but did not and when we were asked to present them on the train, we had to pay a very large fine!!!!.. We explained that we thought we were buying round trip to the Stuttgart Christmas market but it tuned out we were wrong. We did not know that the passes could be bought in the hotel for 3 days. Very confusing. Needless to say, we never used the ubahn again. Neither did we spend one more cent in Stuttgart...

I called a day in advance to see if I could use a Joann Schweitzer gift certificate (I always get a hastle although the room is always paid for) and this was my 2nd try with Congress Hotel. They said they had one room left and agreed to let us use our gift certificate. We checked in no problem but got no information from the woman who checked us in: didn't tell us when check out was or breakfast. We had to ask repeatedly.

The room was alright- two small beds. Also rather cold but very clean.

Breakfast was a surprise - lots of options and a nice restaurant. Service in the restaurant was also excellent. They even asked us if we would like something else before they went to put the food away.

Overall nice stay. Nothing out of the ordinary but pleasant.

I have stayed in the hotel a number of times and as business stop over this hotel is great. Rooms are clean and tidy and have been upgraded in 2013. The restaurant is not spectacular but it does the job. The staff are helpful and all speak very good english. If you looking for a hotel that is easy and convenient that does not look amazing then this is probably the hotel

Kongresshotel Europe offers excellent service in English, making it an ideal choice for international travelers. Concierge service from the front desk is excellent.

The rooms are clean and contemporary and very comfortable. The shower stalls are not fully enclosed, so it's easy to slop water on the bathroom floor, but that's no more than a minor annoyance and a classic example of form taking precedence over function.

The "Spanish" restaurant downstairs offers a tremendous complimentary breakfast and excellent meals at dinner. An English-language menu is available. In the Summer, there are regular grill nights outdoors in front of the hotel. Ali's Bar, on premises, is air conditioned and comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located about thirty minutes' walk from Feuerbach businesses like Bosch and Coperion, and also close to the city zoo. Numerous parks and the nearby Killesberg offer pleasant walks or runs. The Wichtel brewery restaurant on Stuttgarterstrasse is an easy walk, as is Gaststaette Distelfarm, a comfortable Swabian restaurant with a panoramic view of the city.

Kongresshotel Europe is less than 100 metres from the Maybachstrasse subway station, five stops away from the Hauptbahnhof on the U-6. This makes the airport roughly 45- 50 minutes from the airport by train. Cabfare from the airport is about 40 euros; the train is less than 6 euros. Take the S2 or S3 from the airport to the hauptbahnhof, then U6 toward Gerlingen to Maybachstrasse.

Broadband internet service is available, but at 13 euros per day - in distinct contrast to the Etap Accor hotel next door, where wifi is free.

All in all, Kongresshotel Europe is an excellent, 4.5-star hotel.

Having stayed at the Kongresshotel many times before, I decided to book a room there for a one-week business trip. This time it all went awry, and I will NOT be coming again.

1- Worst part is that the air conditioning in the room is centrally controlled. Stuttgart was scorching hot this summer, and the hotel set the A/C temperature to freezing cold! When I consulted the reception about changing the temperature the lady assured me that the A/C would be turned off at night. I left the hotel, and when I returned to the room at night, it was still freezing cold! I called the reception again, this time there was an oldish guy there, who was EXTREMELY ARROGANT! He said the lady I had spoken to had given me "wrong information", that he could not turn off the A/C, that he did not know to how many C the temperature was set, and that I should just complain to management on the next morning.

Not having any thick clothing with me, I covered the A/C ducts with everything I could find, turned on the central heating in the bathroom so it would maybe help a little, and tried to sleep.

Now: what kind of a hotel simply lets its customers freeze in their rooms? Definitely not a 4-star one.

I checked out the next morning and went to a nearby hotel where cost/performance was much better. No putting up with arrogance, no freezing cold room.

2- The shower ventilation was extremely noisy. Must have been broken, but nobody seems to notice.

3- I was a fan of their breakfast before. Alas, that is also a thing of the past. There was a sign which read "cut fruit", but the only thing on the plate was watermelon slices. The lady working there said there was grapefruit, kiwi, etc. in the morning, but now that that was all gone, I should make do with watermelon :))) 4-star service?!?!?

4- Parking for 1 night costs 14 EUR. Way too expensive compared with other hotels nearby.

All in all, the Kongresshotel lost a loyal customer - I will not be coming back.
