The elegant Maritim Hotel Stuttgart adjoins the green Hoppenlau-Park and is located centrally, not far from the main railway station and the cultural attractions of the lively city. The direct link with the convention centre 'Liederhalle' makes it an ideal starting point for business and private occasions. The Bosch-Areal with cinema hall, fitness centre and shopping facilities is just a few paces away.

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is big, in classic style. Rooms are pretty spacious, with fridge and kettle. Beds are very comfortable, even though it consisted of 2 matrasses joined together. The bathroom is also big enough with a bad. The shower system is controlled by touch panel, unusual but it works! Also, when you are taking a shower in a bath, the water does not end up on the floor, as it often does. Really enjoyed the TV in the room and that it has the mobile sharing option - so you can watch your videos on big screen. In many hotels they lock up this function. The biggest problem faces was slow unstable internet. We were in a business wing, so you expect stable fast connection, however it was very slow and was all the time disconnecting. Also, 17 eur for a breakfast p.p. per night is way too much. You can get an entire meal for under 15 eur even in the same restaurant, and 17 eur for breakfast. Luckily the location is good and there are some places around. 21 eur for parking also is a bit too much, however there was a parking garage with 12 eur per dat just on the opposite side of the street. Overall - a good comfortable and clean hotel, but with some overprices services.

The bandwidth for the free WIFi is designed to write emails or visit normal websites. For more complex works you can use the hotspot of our partner Deutsche Telekom or – for streaming videos – the internet connection of the smart TV. IF there are any technical problems with connecting to the WiFi just contact our reception team for help; usually it is already sufficient to restart the router. The usual price for our extensive breakfast of 23 € is orientated at the quality and quantity of the used products and the professional and friendly service, which is at the same level as our Stuttgart’s competitors. As the buffet was a bit reduced we also reduced the price to 17 €. And yes, it is right that we have some dishes at the menu of our Café Espresso which are a bit cheaper as the rich breakfast buffet. The price for the parking is orientated at the parking garages at our surroundings and our Stuttgart’s inner city competitors. But yes, it is indeed right that one parking garage has a special offer for weekends when their normal “residents” from the surrounding office buildings are not working and therefore don’t need a parking. So, if you like being on a cruise ( which I do), then this is the perfect place for you. The hotel name is a perfect description for the decoration style. Loads of gold, marble, teak and chandeliers. We stayed in one of their suites which is spacious and nice. The living room has a sofa area and a dinning table - which is nice for room service - which is god. The bathroom is large with a shower and a tub ( yaaayyy). The bed is is a king size and the mattress firm and comfortable. The parking garage is large, and it is easy to navigate around it with a LARGE 4w. drive. Pool area is not the biggest, but functional and serves its purpose. Nice for the kids. Breakfast is very nice, and despite of the hotel being busy, the standard of the buffet maintained the same high quality and cleanness from start till end. Only thing missing, is hand sanitize at the entrance and round the buffet for a higher hygienically standard. The Bar made us 5 very nice non alcoholic cocktail. So overall I really enjoyed the stay.

We stayed in Maritim Hotel for 2 nights in March 2023, and all in all I found it to be a slightly disappointing experience. The room itself was of a good size and clean, however I wonder if the air conditioning was broken as it was unpleasantly hot and no action we took using the air con made any difference at all. As a result we found sleep quite difficult. Very strange given that it was about 5 degrees outside!
The location was good and all of the sights we went to see in Stuttgart were easy to get to.
We found that the staff were slightly unfriendly in the bar area. Drinks took around 20 minutes to arrive and were served with a scowl.
We stayed in three hotels in our trip to Germany and found this to be the most disappointing. I do not think it is good value for money.

We attended an event in the Liederhalle and didn't want to drive home in the evening. And the Maritim is of course more than ideal for that. One positive aspect was the very friendly and uncomplicated check-in and the fact that we were surprisingly upgraded to a junior suite with a separate bedroom on the top floor of the quiet park wing, which can be reached underground via the reception. The fact that this is a somewhat older hotel can be seen from the wooden furniture (although in very good condition/hardly any signs of wear) in the rooms, but the junior suite was tasteful, clean, modern and equipped with 2 large TVs, a minibar, an illuminated rain shower and a coffee machine. There isn't really anything negative to report, if anything, you could hear the nearby elevator a little at night, but that didn't bother us too much. The only time it was a bit chaotic/hectic was at breakfast, even though we had breakfast relatively early. You had to spend minutes looking for a free table and the breakfast room/atmosphere seemed a bit "canteen-like" as people were sometimes sitting very close together. But the selection of food is large. The price-performance ratio is OK, the underground car park is large and easy to reach and the price of 22 euros a day is still OK.

The most uncomfortable sleep I ever had, the room was so HOT and it is absolutely ridiculous! There’s no air con and just air coming out or heating. When I contact the reception I was told to open the window, but the noise from outside wasn’t good. Also when you open the window the aircon stop working that meant the cold air from outside will not circulate in the room to cook the room down. It was the worst sleep I have ever had in any hotel I’ve stayed it. The room was nice and clean, staff very friendly, but to stay in a hotel what’s important is for people to have a good night sleep and it is something I didn’t have.
So, please turn your air con on so people who doesn’t deal with heat well can sleep and have a comfortable stay with you rather then just have heating in March! It is Wrong!

I booked this hotel for myself and 2 friends to visit the Canstatter Volksfest (from the UK), and was not disappointed. Location is ideal, quiet and near to the University with Berliner Platz U Bahn a 5 min walk away. We were welcomed on arrival and directions given to our room along with breakfast times and other services. The hotel is nicely laid out and is clean throughout. Our rooms were located in the rear building which is accessed by a rather interesting art gallery corridor! The rooms were HUGE, clean, comfortable and with very large comfortable beds. We opted for breakfast each morning and I was very impressed with the selection which had everything, in fact it's one of the best breakfast selections I've had in a hotel in recent years. Minor issue with my room not being cleaned/changed but I can't grumble as the standard of this hotel was excellent for the price so it's a 5 out of 5 for me.

The Maritim Hotel Stuttgart is close enough to the city's centre to walk and has multiple transport options just a few minutes away from the front door. The selection on offer for breakfast is comprehensive, although it can be difficult to get a table straight away depending on the time we went down for breakfast. The hotel itself is vast and has occupancy for many, many guests. We were in the annexe area which was a short walk from reception but not a problem at all.

They tell you the air conditioning is working, it's not. They say they will send maintenance but nobody turned up. If you like sleeping in 25+degress stay here, otherwise go somewhere else. On the evening of Sunday 23rd June in their Cafe Espresso they would only accept cash not a card - what a joke for a hotel which pretends to be 4 star. On day of departure house keeping entered our bedroom while we were still in bed at 8.15am to clean and change (told to get lost), they re-entered at 9.20am (again told to get lost), and at 10.10am came for the third time. I was in the shower otherwise I would have thrown a chair at them.

Our airing / cooling system is indeed working but due to health and environmental reasons it is cooling the room only down to 7°C under outside temperature eon maximum. You can’t compare it with an A/C as for example in the US which cools a room down to 16°C. And yes, it is indeed right that there have been technical problems with the credit card readers on the part of our supplier – so it was unfortunately something outside our sphere of influence. And yes, our housekeeping starts their work at 8.00 und usually start with the rooms of the departing guests to prepare them for the new guests as fast as possible. At a house as big as ours – with 555 rooms the biggest hotel in Baden-Württemberg – is it not always possible to check if the guest already checked out. The fastest way is to use the train, S-Bahn, S2 or S6, from the center station to
Stuttgart Stadtmitte stop. then just 5 minutes walking to reach the hotel.
Or you may take U14, then U9 to arrive at Berliner Platz, which is slower but closer to the hotel, 2 minutes walking distance.
There are more places to choose from in the Stuttgart area.
