Despite what they tell you and advertise parking is a problem at this hotel and street parking was E35 for 3 hours. Rooms are very small especially if you have a suitcase you wish to open. Friendly bar and restaurant staff. Reception not so. Very good breakfast.

I organized for 40 friends (former INSA students) a 3 day/3 night gathering from September 21 to 24 at the Mercure Alpotel including rooms but also 2 evening meals.
The preparation of the stay was done in a remarkable way with a rare welcome and trust very quickly established. The stay itself was appreciated by all my friends according to their unanimous declarations.

An average hotel, a bit out of the town centre (20 minute walk) on a busy main road with traffic and tram noise despite double glazing. Rooms at rear were quieter and executive rooms much larger, well worth choosing. The breakfast was very good. The staff were excellent and tried their utmost to make my stay comfortable. Thank you.

From 15. -16.06.2024 we were guests at the Mercure Hotel Alpotel in Grenoble. We had a room on the 2nd floor. When checking in, the receptionist said she gave us an upgrade privilege room (smooth lie: Upgrade room is not available until the 3rd. Stock).
Rooms:
The room was extremely small and there were no shelves. In the bathroom in the bathtub the shower water did not drain properly☹. Unhygienic......
Breakfast:
Breakfast was puny. There were scrambled eggs from egg powder with hot water (convenience food) ☹ No fried eggs etc. were available ☹.
Location/surroundings:
Located outside the city (about 15min walk). Behind the hotel is Parc Paul Mistral and with a suburban ghetto settlement. This area was unsafe and apparently a drug handling place.

A very poor experience for us at this hotel. Extremely small rooms, one small lift to service the entire hotel and the air conditioning didn’t work at all! Our room was stiflingly hot, and when we complained to the manager it was obvious that there was very little he could do.
