Detailed Reviews
I stayed at the Courcheneige during February half term 2020 with my son. During my stay I found the staff to be very capable and polite. The food was delicious and was served swiftly.
The location is so convenient and the ski shop opens directly into the slopes (they even lay your skis out for you every morning!).
I happened to have an accident during my stay which meant that I had to increase my visit by three nights. This was on one of their busiest weeks of the year. The manager managed to work things around that made this possible much to my relief.
It is my intention to return with the whole family (and a working knee) next year.
I highly recommend this delightful hotel.

Wonderful location, amazing manager - great welcoming in person! He is everywhere from early in the morning checking breakfast to ski room checking staff and greeting guests. Food is delicious and dinner is food art! Front desk Mouloud is very helpful in all you may need, helping with your luggage to your room, booking snowmobile, dog sledding, ski instructors... he is kind and hardworking!
Restaurant staff are kind and service is good.
Would advise for the parking - as we never been here previously to advise people or put signages how is done, do we ring bell or.... as we were waiting at front gates and we didn’t have idea how to enter and reach reception - is quite a walk in underground tunnels ...... 😊

This is a great high location for ski in/ski out being right on the edge of the piste. Staff were excellent throughout and sorted out our little problem, which was our south facing room for three. It was on floor 4 but right at the eastern end and had a sloping roof, extremely low beams and insufficient storage. Totally inadequate given the cost. Fortunately we were able to move to the room next door the next day, which was so much better. (I think it was number 404)
Good choice at breakfast, continental and cooked. Dinner choice is fairly limited, just three choices for starter and main, but adequate. Plenty of choice for dessert, plus the cheese course. Lunch outside on the terrace is very good.
The ski room and staff here are excellent.

We have been coming to the Courcheneige for many years, but in January 2017 it hit rock bottom with terrible food and service.
We avoided it for two years but I cam back this year as my skiing companions felt it had improved. AND THEY WERE CORRECT.
The welcome was excellent; staff smiled and were helpful; the rooms were fine and the food was outstanding. What a turnaround.
The manager, Aubrey, seemed to have a handle on the operation and we had a lovely holiday.
The location is perfect, at the top of the Bellecote piste; the navette to the village was efficient and breakfast was great.
We had no complaints and will certainly return. The special off peak offer is splendid and the ski room is one of the best in the business

Day 1 - Good location. Great staff at the ski shop. No other positives. You handle your luggage yourself, and the reception is no where near the car park. A good 8-10 minute walk. Not a single staff member in sight to assist with luggage. When we finally got to reception and told them that assistance with luggage would be appreciated, we were told "It's saturday, it's a busy day. we have 3 staff members handling checkin.."Sorry, you can give me all the niceties like 'hello", "welcome" and smiles, but service goes beyond insincere greetings. No kettle in the room, I had to request for one from reception. Then I had to go to the bar to get my own cups. This seems more like a self service hotel...The heater in the room was not working, I went to reception, requested attention, waited half an hour, no sign of any interest in addressing. Had to ring reception again. I checked into this hotel after a 7 night stay at a 4 star hotel in Meribel - chalk and cheese the quality of the service. The hotel in Meribel had staff who were genuine in assisting guests and making them comfortable. So far, based on my experience the staff at Le courcheniege (with the exception of the staff at the ski shop), service is almost non existent. A shame for a hotel that is so well located

I would strongly advise against booking with Hotel Courcheneige, especially with such uncertainly with travel. We were due to visit in March 2020 with friends and I am still waiting for the hotel to reimburse my deposit after not being able to travel due to Lockdown rules. I was told I had to wait 18 months after date of travel for my money to be reimbursed. This took me to the end of June, however, the deposit has still not been paid back. I have rung several times and emailed on countless occasions. Emails are never responded to and excuses are made every time I speak to managers. When I get through, I am promised an email the same day to confirm what has been agreed on the phone and it never comes. It is such a shame and I would hate for others to fall into this. With so much uncertainty around travel at the moment, I would encourage booking with a different hotel.

Really well located hotel on Bellecotte piste above Courchevel 1850. Lovely staff without exception, from reception to bar to restaurant to ski room to shuttle bus drivers. Room adequate but not too spacious, good housekeeping service
Half board menu not bad but choice limited to one from two for each of starter and mains, with very good dessert buffet. Wines not cheap but good quality and priced at modest c2 times markup
We have stayed at many hotels in Courchevel over the years and will return here….most are overpriced for what is delivered, Courcheneige has got the balance right, is in a fabulous location and we will be back next year

The location of the Hotel is outstanding. It could be the best spot in Courchevel 1850 for hotel and Aprés-ski. Unfortunately the hotel policies are not aiming to welcome guests, but to ostentiously maximize short-term profits. The most absurd policy is to charge €10/day per ski if you would rent it from another place (which is 1/3 of the hotel price). If you would bring your own skis they will charge zero. This is ultrageous and illegal (against the very basics of EU competition laws). The hotel is old but well taken care off and the food is good. The wine list is poor and expensive.

As a couple, we stayed at the hotel in early February. Whilst sat outside on the terrace one early afternoon, we tried to order one pizza to share between the two of us as the pizzas are large and we were not that hungry. They refused to serve us only one meal, stating we must buy two dishes.
Given we are staying at the hotel and not just passing trade, you would think they would want to satisfy their guests!

Very good value for money for Courchevel. Very warm welcome, the driver for the shuttles to Courch' 1850 was very nice. The responsiveness so that we spent restful nights was appreciated (request for extra mattresses) Very clean and comfortable premises. The little snack at 4 p.m. was very appreciated! The half-board option is great, the dinners are varied and of high quality. The superior double room was comfortable (small problem, the noise of the toilet above our room 212!). Thank you for this stay.

The Pralong Lift open at 9h, but it is more practical to go down to the Croisette with Bellecote slope.
Hello,
Small pets are welcome at the Courcheneige in rooms (20e per day) but not in the restaurant or bar areas.
Thank you.
As the other reviewer said, the breakfast is good. Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, omelettes on request, bacon, mushroom, pastries, yoghurts, bread, coffee, hams, cheeses. It is very good
Sorry not to be able to answer your question. I would recommend you to ask this question directly to the hotel. The hotel is perfect for children with the easy access to the slopes, and a good place for larger groups as well
Yes, the room we had had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with baths.
