Stayed two nights Tuesday and Wednesday 28th and 29th July whilst on a motorcycle tour of Europe. Very welcoming and friendly Owner on arrival and great safe and secure parking on the terrace for motorcycles. Hotel is in a great location easy to walk into the old town and see the Matisse Chappelle. Gorgeous views over the valley below and to Nice and the coast, nice pool, small and clean. My bedroom was rather small in comparison to some of the photos that I see on the website so perhaps when booking if you need more space you might wish to enquire exactly which room you will have. It was fine for what I needed with a comfy and clean bed, small but functional bathroom and shower where the fittings are certainly not new, but they all seemed to work OK. Breakfast buffet a nice selection and a wonderful location on the terrace. I'd go back, with eyes open recognising what it is, a grand old house thats been converted to a hotel and has a delightful old shabby chic boutique feel, but it you want smart and highly maintained and sparklingly new - choose elsewhere. I loved it. Photos generally seem to do the hotel justice. Outstanding location. Very friendly and helpful and personable Owner/Manager. Recommended. Hope the review is helpful. Stuart

Unsafe and disappointing. Even the silverware had issues. It was more like a hostile (No, I did not misspell hostel) I have noticed that instead of the proprietor taking the opportunity to use these reviews to improve his operation, instead he tries to defend substandard service and maintenance. Such potential in such a lovely place, but poor execution.

Mrs What a surprise your comment while you are currently staying at the hotel and that I ask you every day if all is well and you confirm me that there is no problem You are the only one to say that it does not suit everyone in the group is very satisfied ... If I'm not mistaken, only you fell in the middle of the day so there was no light problem and in the stairs the timer lasts five minutes which gives you ample time to go down the steps. Regarding the room I followed the indications of your agency which has booked a twin room without air conditioning and I had the kindness to put a fan at your request, knowing that this period in the evening and at night it is 18 degrees which is not excessive, moreover you have put blankets in bed so you do not have to have too many hot. Others in your group are in very large rooms and are actually occupied by one person, or if you had difficulty climbing the stairs you could say and we changed your room as the couple in your group who is in the DRC a suite of two rooms with air conditioning The sides of the tub are standard as you have in all hotels and I do not see why there would be a fire extinguisher of the moment where there is a fire department in the room. I searched everywhere for the ants you notice there are none You say there is no screen on the windows there are shutters more blackout curtains You arrived at the hotel at 11:30 am the room was not not released yet I did my best to keep you busy quickly I just made the remark that you arrived too early as the entrance in the rooms with your group was scheduled at 14h And I put the luggage in the room so you are very bad time what surprises me in your words because in front of me you say the opposite. What is more possible is that you may be too old to do this type of internship and have trouble walking since you made the same remarks for the outings where you have to go .. Your agency has chosen a small typical Provencal hotel with beautiful gardens, panoramic terrace, swimming pool ... and conducive to acticvite that you have come to do, "painting" may be you prefer the standardized hotels but where you could not do the same activity .. What reassures me is that you are the only one to make these remarks while I was very attentive with you and pick you up with my own car at night in a restaurant because you did not want to go on foot ... and that there was no taxi .. We are here for a painting tour. The participants have an average age of 70. This hotel is not suitable for any of us. Three people have fallen due to lights that suddenly go off leaving you in pitch darkness. There are no outdoor lights. There is no elevator, so people with walking issues are not able to stay here. The rooms are extremely tiny and most have no air conditioning. We had to request a fan. The bathtub sides are at least 3 feet high, there is no slip-proofing on the floor of the tub or that bath mat. There are no fire extinguishers. The doors are so hard to open, you could die because you are trapped in your room. There are ants coming out of a hole in the wall. There are no screens on the windows. The owner had to be called in from the pool to check us in and then he yelled at us for coming too early instead of accepting our luggage and asking us to wait. Yelled. At. Us.

We had a warm welcome and helpful advice from the owners on arrival, and were afforded the room with a balcony (recommended) as booked. Stunning views from the room, and breakfast on the terrace was a "morning to savour". An all-round pleasant experience in a character hotel.

We had a great one night stay.We had a big room with ceiling art painting, balcony and aircon - perfect for the hot summer. A fantastic terrace with a great view over the valley and hills perfect for enjoying a glass of the famous Provence rose wine and a good book. A nice and clean swimming pool with sunbeds was popular for both kids and grown ups. The old town is a five minute walk away and the owner had good recommendations for restaurants.
