Detailed Reviews
For a 5 star hotel I was expecting a lot more. The service was excellent but the hotel was dated. Mosquitoes inside the rooms was a major problem. The bar had bottles of liquor on display that they did not sell. Food menu was very minimal. Staff was very friendly and attentive though.

We recently stayed at the La Mandarine in St Tropez. When we first arrived our room was very disappointing and we asked to be moved. I would not have said it was 4 star. The furniture was very shabby but our new room was much better and slightly bigger. The food in the hotel was superb and the staff very friendly. The Bora Bora beach was quiet and relaxing and food was great at the restaurant. The only thing I forgot was 2 different bikini's for each day. This is a must to keep up with the rest of the sunbathers. It's all so materialistic.

We stayed at La Mandarine for a long week-end last month and had a great time in St Tropez. The hotel itsef is located 15mn walk from the center at the beginning of Route de Tahiti, and looks like a small provencal village surrounded by a nice garden. Very charming. It also has a great swimming pool.
However the hotel is advertised as five stars and you will be clearly disappointed if you expect this (the room prices should give you a hint that it is not. Don't forget this is St Tropez). The location and surrounding is four stars, but the inside of the hotel three stars at best. The rooms are small, and look tired, the bathrooms are twenty years old, the corridors leading to the rooms are narrow and there were several times sheets/linnen laying around. The hotel would need a total refurbishment to even be a four stars.
So if you are looking for a great three stars in St Tropez, this is the place! If four stars, why not if Le Pre de la Mer or Le Benkirai are fully booked. If you are looking for a five stars, stay away!

Horrendous, i checked availability and called to say ill be there in 5 mins, arrived 5 mins later and was sold a room for €730, literally 10 seconds after paying I was told the room is no longer available they have a room for €1,050 and made me pay an extra €300. I then asked if they could charge my phone and they told me they can sell me one for €50.
The room were absolutely terrible. Filthy, dated and borderline uninhabitable. Just avoid it at all costs its a terrible place you will be dissappointed.

THIS IS NOT A 5* HOTEL, it feels like a 3* AT BEST. Checked in and checked out 2 hours later, hotel manager refused a refund on the day and I have failed to obtain a refund since. This Hotel is very very tired, service poor, rooms were dated, bathroom was awful, food around the pool was inedible, generally staff agreed with us, this place is such a rip off….

A delightful tropezian expreience. La Mandarine hotel offers you an exact high class french experience. The hotel was beautifully cured in details for you to experience authentic class. Our room was with balcony and terrance which offered a great view of the nature surrounding the beautiful building. Me and my friend enjoyed our stay so much there. The location was perfect, very close to Des Lices area. The breakfast was incredible, high quality food with a real french delicacy.
The reception and concierge service were amazing, they took care for our experience every day. The concierge guy Benjamin helped us a lot with reservations in the busiest beach clubs and restaurants. I would rate this hotel 10/10.

From the moment of arrival in this tranquil oasis, smiling friendly staff members are genuinely kind and helpful.
The beautiful courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious healthy breakfast, or the exquisitely prepared burrata, grilled octopus, and wine in the evening during the golden hour of light.
Sipping cocktails or having lunch by the pool was a relaxing treat.
On a practical note, the hotel will transport to and from local destinations to avoid the inconvenience of having to find parking.
The Tesla destination charger, made it extremely convenient to rent a Tesla and keep it fully charged.
The duplex unit with upstairs and downstairs king size beds, made for a comfortable family stay.
We Will definitely be back and for a longer stay.

We booked premium room and got. only standard room. After several interventions we did not Gera premium room but only a discount of 200 Euro instead of 1000 for 4 nights. Quality of most servants was very Pooth.

What a terrible place. Interior unchanged since the eighties. Pls look at the pictures I took from toilet and bathroom - this is not even three star standard. This place requires a complete makeover it is unbelievable how run down it is.
No service - we carried our own bags.
At breakfast, there was one waiter for approx 15 tables. While he was nice and efficient, he was totally stressed out and it took 45 minutes before we got a cup of coffee, half of our order was never received.
