This was a short trip (2 nights) whilst visiting for the tennis in Monte Carlo and also something of a early 10 year anniversary trip. It was a wonderful stay, the hotel is beautiful and sits overlooking the Mediterranean sea. On arrival we received a double upgrade to a corner sea view room (309) with some welcome treats and a kind note. We had stayed at the Four Seasons in London just before Christmas and little notes like ‘welcome back to the four seasons’ just make you feel right at home.

In terms of service, I actually think this may have been the best we have ever experienced. Every interaction felt genuine, relaxed, personal, and just made you feel like everyone wants you to be happy and have a great time, they are all a credit to the hotel. We had dinner in the veranda restaurant on the first night which was excellent, the beef cooked perfectly and the tropezienne dessert was out of this world (probably worth sharing).

Breakfast was incredible, we did both (Veranda restaurant and in room) and set you up for the day. On the last day I managed to get a spa reservation to enjoy their signature massage and a late check - out to let me quickly freshen up. Huge shout out to Peggy in the spa - she has a gift! I wish I could remember everyones names, they all deserved mentions.

To finish, before we set off to the airport we went to enjoy lunch at Club Dauphin which overlooked the pool and the sea. Again, everything was wonderful.

Generally Four Season prices are always towards the top of our budget range, but everything was so perfect, we actually felt like we got a bargain for what we experienced.

We are all ready thinking of going back next year

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at the hotel,

Simon & Emma

We stayed at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat for our honeymoon. We booked a Superior Pinewood room, which is the entry level room. The room itself, while small, was beautifully furnished. It had a large walk in closet and bathroom that compensated for the smaller size of the room. The grounds and hotel itself are stunning, and the service was wonderful.

Our expectation going in was that this would be expensive. It was the third Four Seasons we have stayed at. We also live in Manhattan and are used to high prices for things like food, drinks, and parking. However, the biggest downside for us was the pricing of food and services onsite. When you’re paying a minimum of ~$1,200/night to stay there you do not want to feel like you are being nickle and dimed once you’re there. $50/day for parking, $60 per person continental breakfast, and many comically over priced dishes at the hotel restaurants. We stayed at luxury hotels on other parts of our honeymoon that felt far more generous to guests - namely Villa D’Este and Airelles Gordes. My recommendation to Four Seasons is to bake some of those charges into the room rate to avoid guests feeling like they are being over charged onsite.

Beautiful property, rooms, gardens, pool area, etc. There is a great trail behind the property which will allow you to hike the peninsula either towards the town of Cap Ferrat or the opposite direction. I really enjoyed this hike and the views are outstanding. Lounging at night under the canopy of the umbrella pines, drink in hand is fantastic.
The property is located at the tip of Cap Ferrat, far from Nice. It takes a while for a taxi or an Uber to get to the property and a ride into town will cost between $40 to $90 dollars depending on mode of transport.
The Michelin restaurant was very good for dinner. It was pricy but expected. Breakfast was disappointing. There is only a buffet at $60 pp with various items laid out (very nicely) and an egg and a dessert type item (waffle, french toast) made to order. I must say that all my egg selections (except the benedict which were quite good) were pretty average. The coffee (American) was terrible, I don't know if it was the blend, I tried it with milk, with cream and it didn't work. The French toast was heavenly.

Unfortunately our room had a few issues:
1. Air conditioning made a rattling noise all night making it difficult to sleep peacefully.
2. Bathroom shower/tub didn’t drain properly which meant we showered in a pool of dirty water every day!!! We went to them 4 times (once daily) and each time they apparently sent people up to fix it but never got fixed during our stay.
3. Their shuttle service is not always available for their guests. They told me the villas in the area also use the shuttle so be ready to pay for a cab every time you try to leave the hotel.
It is unfortunate because we always stay at Four Seasons properties when we travel and we were truly looking forward to staying with them this time. At nearly $3000 per night room rate I expect everything to be in good working order, get addressed immediately or at the very least be offered to change the room to accommodate. None of that was done!! All they did was give us a $100 credit towards food and beverages on our bill! Very disappointed!!

I am late in posting this review but it is important that everyone know what an amazing hotel this is. My wife and our youngest son (14) spent 3 nights at the hotel in April and had an amazing time. The hotel is absolutely spectacular and is only surpassed by its staff. We stayed in a deluxe terrace room which was just gorgeous. The room had a nice patio with a great view of the sea and was very comfortable. The room was quite large in that it comfortably slept three of us--my son slept on the sofa bed and said it was very comfortable. The bathroom was fantastic. Everything was spotless. We visited during the "low" season and so only one restaurant was open (the others opened right after we left). We had dinner our first night in the restaurant and then breakfast each morning there as well. Each meal was great and the service was impeccable. The pool at the Club Dauphin is one of the most amazing hotel pools anywhere with simply incredible views. The grounds and the gardens were also beautiful and we enjoyed walking around the gardens. We did not visit the spa but it also looked amazing. The hotel is at the tip of the peninsula and we spent a great day walking along the ocean into town and also visiting for dinner. It was a remarkable few days and we can't wait to visit as it was surely one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. I also need to extend a massive thank you to the hotel. I purchased our stay at a breast cancer awareness charity auction in 2019 before COVID as I wanted to take my wife to the south of France for a special birthday trip. Although the stay was to be completed within 1 year of the auction event, COVID hit and we were unable to make the trip. While the hotel certainly had no obligation to honor the stay, it graciously and without hesitation extended the trip a total of 4 times until we were able to finally go. I mention this as the hotel should be applauded for its support of breast cancer research and its fantastic customer service in light of COVID. Well done and we can't wait to visit again!

We come to the Grand Hotel for many years and it has nothing lost of his attractiveness. The tranquility of the whole place including club dauphin, the first class service of the staff and attentiveness is remarkable. The location at the tip of the Cap Ferrat peninsula with its gardens makes our summer vacation a highlight.

This year I believe as a result of COVID the hotel had a lot of new staff, but all of them were very eager to do their best in order to deliver a first class service. I have to admit they did really a great fantastic job. The Restaurant La Veranda had a very attractive menu as well as you could also get the mix of Japanese and Peruvian style menu Izakaja.

We definitely will come back in 2023 because this is really a place were you can calm down and enjoy.

Beautiful location and nothing to say about that. Unfortunately what killed my experience is the service since the staff was new, untrained and unprofessional. The breakfast buffet was not what we expected from a luxury hotel like this one where rates start at 2k per night. No sense of welcoming or smiling. Getting the attention of the staff at the f&b outlets is challenging.
Pool is enjoyable even though the sunbeds are stuck one to each other giving non sense of privacy or luxury. Not what one expects from a luxury resort.
Overall experience is enjoyable but definitely lacks in value for money.

I’ve enjoyed very much my 5 days stay in this hotel with my friends. Everything was nice. Breakfast is good and tasty regardless COVID-19 period conditions. Even if you don’t find what you want in the breakfast, you kindly explain to the waiter how you’d like to be your food prepared, be sure you’ll get exactly what you want, I’ve tried. Service is outstanding, everywhere, room cleaning, in the pool, restaurant, or reception. Hotel has michellin star restaurant which of cause I’ve visited and which was excellent. The territory which belongs to the hotel is so beautiful, that you feel like in the Dysney movie fairy tale when you walk throw the garden. I do highly recommend this hotel and I’ll definitely become regular customer of this beautiful hotel.

Tucked away in the South of France, Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat is truly a Mediterranean paradise. Expansive property bursting with color; beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms- this time we stayed in the new building with ocean view. (In 2018 we stayed in the original hotel). Staff go out of their way to make you feel recognized and to make sure that the stay is truly memorable. Olga and the concierge staff who I worked with several weeks prior to arrival arranged private tours, hikes and great restaurants off property; all of which ensured we had a truly wonderful stay. She even arranged a fantastic restaurant for us in Nice, where we spent the first night after our many hours of travel. Spa massages are superb. Be sure to schedule yoga with Laure who focuses on proper form and left us feeling very Zen. The staff at Club Dauphin are top-notch and remember our dietary preferences. Bell staff also should be commended as they helped me out in a pinch.

Well, you really have to hand it to the Four Seasons. They know how to separate you from your wallet. But this was over the top! There are about 75 rooms in this location and all of them except the suites are like 200 sq feet. There's room for a bed, a small table, a tiny closet and an even tinier bathroom. It's really ridiculous. And all for the bargain price of $6,000 per night.

So what do you get for that? Well, the answer really is nothing. They don't know you at the front desk despite the fact that you may have stayed hundreds of nights in Four Seasons properties. They don't know you down at the pool. Could we have those two lounges over there with the unobstructed sea view and a little bit of privacy? "No, merci, they have been rented for the entire month." Yeah, that's good but there's no one there and it's 4:30 in the afternoon! "No, we can not do that. II est impossible."

And then there's the pool. It's big. Too bad the rooms aren't that size. But its crowded and a ton of kids are in the water. So, you know what that means. Yup, you're swimming in a peepie and poopie water hazard. Avoid it at all costs.

The people watching is entertaining. There are a lot of thin, sleek pretty women with men who are at least 30 years older with bellies that are distended as if pregnant or maybe just full of cream puffs. I was equally entertained by a robust (read: cream puffs) Kuwaiti woman who after bossing her Filipino help around endlessly, fell asleep next to me and starting snoring, every bit the equal of the Zephyr express chugging through the Sierras.

My suggestion: avoid this hotel like the plague and go to the Aman in Greece.
