Hotel's Favourite
A very well located, small, friendly hotel. Just perfect for our short stay. Nice French breakfast with home made compote available if yogurt is not your thing. Clean and safe. The only weak point was the wifi - very weak signal but then this is a hotel not a working place. Close from Palais des Papes, and other attractions/restaurants. Walking distance from train station.

The location was fabulous. And a sweet man at reception was incredibly informative (he loved his city!). But that was it. Shabby with things hanging off the walls & a chipped sink in a bathroom you’d struggle to swing a cat in, were some of the the things that greets us as we opened our bedroom door. And I’ve never been a fan of polystyrene ceiling tiles.

Hello Claire, Thank you for your advise. Our Hôtel is open since the XIV century when merchants crossed the Rhône by the bridge of Avignon and stayed the night at our Auberge. We can’t strongly modify the building but we put bathrooms since that time. So everything is small. Sorry if you didn’t expect to stay in a XIV century building. We fit to requirements for a two stars hotel. On around 300 advises, average note is double of yours. Maybe you expected more space and luxury. Don’t forget that you could pay much less if you booked directly avoiding OTAs. Best regards

We stayed at the Hotel Mignon in early August of 2021. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Everyday they went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The location truly makes this hotel a gem. The narrow street is full of wonderful boutique clothing stores and restaurants. The street turns and leads to the City’s main plaza, market and Palace of the Popes. And although there is a boulangerie just down the street, Madame’s breakfast is very good and worth staying in for. I cannot imagine a better place to stay.

Me and my wife were coming from Madrid to the french alps. We decided to make a stop on the way and for no particular reason we decided Avignon would be the stop. In was late at night, we just needed a place to crash. We discovered Hotel Mignon through various apps. They had a very economical rate so we decided for it. The rooms were small, but neatly cleaned and the A/C worked very good. Loved our stay and our visit to the city of Avignon.

The hotel is in a small, quiet, street in the historical centre, so rooms are very small, but clean and perfectly suitable for a short stay. A/C was working fine (needed as it was 35°c outside). We used the free parking provided by the city on the island, as there's a free shuttle stopping 3mn walk from the hotel (it also can be walked in about 15mn, but it was too hot those days) Only issue was the walls between rooms are not very thick and unfortunately the guy next door decided to have a loud Skype conversation at 4am, waking is up; thankfully he stopped after I asked him to quiet down. Staff was friendly enough, can't comment on their English as I spoke French.

This is a nice hotel with a very good location, probably one of the best locations in Avignon, within the city walls, very close to the main sights and places to eat. At the same time it is not very far from the train station as well - just 10-15 min walk. The hotel seems to be quite old but very clean. The staff is polite and friendly, the breakfast was quite good. The room we stayed was very small but worth the money paid.

The hotel is in a 14th Century building, inside the city walls, and it conforms to all my ideas about old-fashioned French hotels, including the owner doing her knitting at the reception, with a yappy little dog by her side. :) The room was fine, quite small, with ensuite bathroom, in a kind of cupboard. So French! The wifi was free and fast. We enjoyed our stay, as the bed was comfortable, and the hotel quiet at night. We did not take the breakfast on offer, as it's cheaper (and more fun) to go out for a coffee and a croissant in one of the local bars.

Nous vous remercions pour votre avis. Notre établissement est en effet du XIV siècle et nous l'avons décoré dans un esprit cosy et chaleureux. Nos petits déjeuners sont aussi fait maison avec des produits de saison. Merci beaucoup CATHERINE HOTEL MIGNON

My single room with double bed was quiet and comfortable, with air conditioner if needed and view of ferris wheel from window. The ensuite shower room with toilet was small but adequate for 1 person. Good breakfast available, with various choices. 10 minutes walk from central station; 5 minutes walk from Palais des Papes..

As others have noticed, the bathrooms are really tiny... but are you going on vacation to spend a lot of time in the bathroom? Of course not. Otherwise, had an uneventful stay. Convenient location, but Avignon is kind of small anyways, so it's easy to walk everywhere. Room on the 2nd floor, facing front, was not very noisy at all as there aren't many cars going through that part of the city in general.
