L’Empire is a great find for a small piece of luxury in a large city that does not break the bank. A 4-Star hotel with all the expected amenities, cleanliness, and comfort that you would expect.

Upon arrival at the hotel, located only a short 5-10 minute walk from Les Halles metro station, we were greeted by a friendly and pleasant front desk manager, who kindly upgraded our room to an executive room, this was a nice touch and gratefully received.

The hotel located in a very central location and within easy accessible reach of all tourist landmarks of Paris, and only 40 mins away from Disneyland Paris via (RER C train line).

The hotel reception lead to a small but pleasant resident lounge, adjacent was the bar and dining area. The areas being of clean nature and to a good specification along with mood lighting, this very pleasant in the evening and very quite and calm ambiance, most welcoming after a long day in Paris & Disneyland.

Our room allocated as an upgrade was located on the 5th floor, although the single lift was quite slow in arriving, it was a pleasant welcoming once we arrived at the room.

Initial impressions were great, a very spacious room with great decoration. Separated into three areas, the bedroom, the lounge, along with the bathroom.

The bedroom was extremely spacious with a high headboard and great pattern and colours, a large side desk made from laminated shattered glass which was very effective. The wardrobe was however located within the lounge strangely, although was not a problem.
The only thing, was that there was no bedside draws but shelfs, so nowhere to place underwear, again except for a large draw within the lounge. Also a large TV with sound bar.

The lounge again very spacious and a long glass sideboard, TV / Sound bar, large sofa and along with mini bar (chargeable) and coffee maker. Very homely with coffee table and soft furnishings.

The Bathroom had modern twin sinks and a water jet bath. All extremely clean, just a bit of limescale on the show seal.

All in all this hotel was a great location, friendly staff, modern, comfortable and luxurious features. A hotel that I would stay at again time and time again.

The front desk always made it their job to ensure that we were okay, great recommendations of the local area, and great engagement with kids!

Well done L’Empire and thank you to all the staff that made us welcome and pleasant stay.

The Staff at L Empire are terrific. Stayed 4 nights. Everyday staff would go out of their way for us. Greeting us every time we were in the lobby. Ricky (Ricardo) was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Whenever we asked for a food suggestion he’d walk us outside, down the street and point to specific places of interest. He also helped us with a late night sweet tooth craving. Great Guy !! The buffet breakfast included was always fresh and filling. So many choices. They even helped me put a tray together to bring back to the room for fiancé. The bed was very comfortable. Our room 214 was very quiet and window view of courtyard which along with the blackout curtains allowed us to sleep in. Room and bathroom was clean and cleaned daily. The location was very good. Walking distance to Louvre , Orsay & Norte Dame. Longer walk to Arc Triumph, Eiffel and Montmartre, but if you can walk three miles then go for it , we did. Many restaurants to choose from around hotel. I would definitely return and would recommend L ‘Empire to friends and family.

This was our 6th visit to Paris. We have never enjoyed a stay at a hotel more than at the L'Empire Paris. Perfect location in the 1st district, less than 2 blocks to the Louvre, the D'Orsay is on the other side of the Seine, great cafes, restaurants, shops, a market with liquor and wine at incredibly competitive pricing for the value. The staff is the most welcoming and hospitable that we have encountered in all of our travels. They sincerely care about your having a great time experiencing Paris. Our room was excellent as is the buffet breakfast offered each morning. During our 10 day stay, we cannot cite one disappointment or omission involving the hotel. I cannot imagine anyone that would not enjoy time spent in Paris at this gem of a property. This is where we will stay on our 7th visit!

We travelled to Paris during spring and decided to stay at L’Empire. We chose a room with a private jacuzzi in the bedroom! The jacuzzi is on a private terrace which is very appreciable during Spring. The rooms are very quiet and there are no vis-a-vis.
The cleanliness of the room was outstanding, and we were able to enjoy a nice heart shape made from rose petals on our bed with a great bottle of Champagne.
The staff is also very nice and welcoming. The hotel is very well located as it is right next to the Louvre and the Rue de Rivoli. We will come back as soon as possible!

I took my daughter on a trip for her 12th birthday and her first time in Paris. We choose the L'Empire Paris hotel and were very happy with our choice.

Firstly, the staff couldn't have been more friendly or service oriented. Every interaction with all of them was pleasant, even when they had the difficult job of telling us our air conditioner wouldn't be working on the last night (and it was HOT!). They were always available, helpful, accomodating, professional and quick. The owner of the hotel should be very proud of their front desk staff (both daytime and night time).

We had breakfast at the hotel just one morning and it was lovely. Typical French breakfast of croissants, pain de chocolate, baguette, butter, jams and coffee. All fresh and plentiful. Again, the staff was quick and service oriented.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The pillows could be too firm for people who like very soft pillows but I happen to like firm ones. The room was very spacious for a Paris hotel (after reading other room sizes) and we didn't feel like we were on top of one another. There was plenty of wardrobe room. The only negative was the shower being very high and slippery. Unfortunately my daughter took a tumble onto the floor when getting out. I told the front end staff and he took note of it and said he would mention it to the owners. Just a hand bar for holding, or slip mats would be an easy fix.

The neighborhood was great and we always felt safe. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries and a stone's throw away from the Louvre. Public transportation was easily accessible.

Should we return to Paris I would definitely stay at L'Empire again.

In the months leading up to staying at this Hotel, I was ready to write a less than upbeat review upon departure because of a deceitful credit card charge during the initial booking process (and before arriving).

But. . . . in spite of this early (and significantly adverse) event, the Hotel is actually pretty good, actually, I will go as far as to say very good indeed given the location, quality and price point. Look no further.

The reception staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean / well maintained and the location is extremely central / convenient to many of the major tourist attractions – including the airport railway link, around 5-10 minutes walking.

Whilst the dining area is somewhat compact compared to larger hotels, it is easily forgiven with a selection of quality items on offer including fresh orange juice and barista made coffee (included in your breakfast price).

I know some prior reviewers had rated the hotel poorly because of rooms overlooking an elevated courtyard area, meaning the courtyard floor is almost at window level. . . .but really, who cares, its great to have the quietness and natural light.

Equally, if you decide to book a room without windows, expect that you will receive a room without windows!!! (which is actually perfect if you are a light sleeper and appreciate complete darkness – and by the way, it is not in the basement, rather these rooms are at street level)

Overall, I will not hesitate to highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Paris, and will indeed return ourselves when next travelling through this City.

As for the early credit card charge – which the Hotel was extremely argumentative about (resolved via a credit card transaction dispute at my end), just book via a 3rd party website.

Just returned from a fabulous weekend away combining sightseeing rugby and of course a little romance. The hotel could not have been more perfect the location was fantastic close to all major sightseeing points of interest. On checkin we were delighted that the very friendly staff upgraded us to a deluxe room which was out of this world exceptionally clean very spacious very good value for money. The breakfasts were fantastic a great choice of different foods and coffee but the highlight of this hotel is the attention to detail and helpfulness of every single one of the staff I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I for sure will be returning.

My family and I were guests for 10 days at Hotel L'Empire Paris. Regrettably, our experience with this hotel isn't a positive one. This is because we were given two rooms in the basement on floor level -1. Because of this location, we did not get a good value for our money and did not have a good experience.

On this floor, the corridor is in complete darkness (lights set on a timer), except when you walk out of the elevator the lights go on only for about 5 seconds. So if you did not reach your room in time, the lights go off and you can not see where to stick the entry card into the door, you have to walk back towards the elevator so the light sensors would turn the lights back on. On all the other floors, the corridor lights are on all the time. There is a smell emanating from the adjacent spa, and there are fowl body odors from the cleaners if you enter the rooms right after the cleaning was done. The rooms overlook a small interior courtyard, not a great view.

It is possible that the review would have been different if we stayed on the upper floors. If you plan on staying at this hotel, make sure you are not assigned to a room in the basement. Do it as a condition of your booking.

Such a nice hotel! We actually booked at L’Empire in 2020, but were unable to travel due to the pandemic. So I contacted them in 2022 to ask if they could give us a discount, based on our expired, non-refundable booking. They generously credited our entire booking! The staff is very nice, the location is really ideal, and the room was very comfortable and well-thought-out, making great use of the space without feeling cramped. Enjoyed our stay a lot!

L’Empire is my “ go to “ hotel during my visits to Paris.. I have been staying there 2-3 times a year for the past 5 years, by myself, with my husband, with my daughter and with friends.
The staff is what has impressed me the most. I look forward to seeing them and am greeted warmly every time. They are always enthusiastic about helping me in every way and offer comfort away from home . Sonia has been there for quite some time and always hope I will see her smiling face on arrival.
The location is perfect. I always travel from CDG on the RER and after stopping at Chatelet Les Halles Metro stop, the hotel is only a few blocks away. So convenient!
This quaint area between the Louvre and Marais area offers easy access to all my favorite spots. This area has been under some construction over the years, and now the results have come to fruition. The Louis Vuitton building and Museum is complete and is amazing! The famous Samaraitine building where I use to lunch on rooftop patio over looking the Seine, is standing proud showing off newly renovated architecture and style, a wonderful sight to behold ... in completion stages.
The rooms are wonderful ! They are modern, super clean, comfy beds and linens and so quiet! Extra amenities including bathrobes and toiletries are so welcoming..Often the eager to please staff has upgraded me , but Ive always been happy with all the rooms.
I look forward to another Paris visit. It is my favorite place and have spent many of my birthdays there.. and L’Empire has become my favorite Hotel, and now just waiting to return!😊
