Very Impressed with out stay at this hotel. We arrived a few hours early however the staff sorted us a room straight away and even upgraded us. The room size was fine for what we needed it for however without the upgrade to a deluxe room I'd be concerned about how tight the room would be.

The room was clean and sorted for us each day. Only one cup provided and the shower cubicle was tight but the en suite space has been cleverly designed for an old Paris building. If you're a larger person you may struggle with the shower.

Area was generally quiet with a quiet bar directly across the street and plenty of restaurants a short walk away. A good area to walk to the RER to get a train to the Airport and Metro stations are very close.

Would stay here again if we visit Paris in the future.

Booked a holiday for me and my family (wife and two young daughters, 7 and 10) and finding a hotel for us was a real challenge, as the prices were crazy!

Eventually found the Five Hotel, which offered us a suite at a good price.

Paris I have always found that if you try to go basic and cheap, you will end up regretting it, but the reviews for The Five Hotel were coming back good.

Firstly, yes it is catered more for romantic get away for a weekend rather than families, but the pictures on the walls are not as burlesque as most reviewers make out, and being honest, did not feel awkward having my two young daughters there.

It is maybe in a area that you would not consider to be central, but you are pretty close to all the action, and there is two separate Metro stations near by that can get you around (we did Euro Disney on our 2nd day, and were at the park in less than 50 minutes after leaving our hotel).

We had arrived at CDG around 10:45pm, and there was line works happening at night, so we could not get as far as Gare De Nord (yet had the line been open, we could have got a direct train from CDG to Port Royal), so had to get a Bolt to take us from GDN to the hotel, which only cost us 13 Euros (Paris is a VERY good city for getting around with Bolt), and took about 20 minutes for us to get to the hotel.

We were not actually staying in the main building, but across the street in one of the suites.

Nice VERY spacious room, with two double beds and show, toilet, bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Very quiet and got two good nights sleep.

Staff are amazing and really do go that extra mile for you.

Breakfast is not all that great, as there is not all that much space in the dining area, and the food on offer is not all that big, so you either need to be fast, or you will have to wait as fresh food is prepared.

All in all, great boutique hotel that met all our needs, and we would certainly consider staying here again next time in Paris

The hotel is in a prime location of Paris, a short walk away from the pantheon and 10 more minutes of walking and you’re at the Norte dam. Plenty of public transport close by so the city is easily explored and it’s tucked away down a side street so there is minimal noise from outside. However the hotel has a unique interior which strangely resembles a dingy bar or stripclub, the rooms are small (to be fair that’s to be expected in Paris) and the bed wasn’t too comfortable. But overall for the price this hotel isn’t a bad choice and it’s fairly well maintained.

We were allocated a very small room and were refused an upgrade. The bed was against the wall so I had to crawl up from the bottom (I am 71). The feature light did not work. The bathroom was rusty and small. You could not alter the water temperature, just one tap with allocated water. No tea, coffee or even water facilities. Staff answered questions but gave no more help. Awful place.

Dear Nananewf, Thank you for your brief comment regarding your stay in our hotel. We are sorry to hear that our hotel did not meet your expectations. It is true that some of our rooms can be small and that is why the dimensions, photographs and names of the rooms corresponding to this information are available on our website, in order to alleviate or at least avoid this kind of inconvenience. Regarding the refused upgrade, this must be due to the fact that we had no availability during the period of your stay as we always accept upgrades if we have a room to accommodate you. Yours sincerely, The Five Hotel Team

We went to this hotel during holidays with family. It is small but well located to discover the Quartier Latin by foot (esp during strikes ;-))
Staff is nice. Breakfast is simple and good incl eggs, bred, croissants, fruits, juice...
Good restaurants around.
We had the “suite”. It is rather small, except the bathroom which is huge. The heating was good in the bed room and bathroom but the other room was cold. Both the bed and the sofa bed were comfortable. (For info for families pictures on the wall of the room are a bit sexy).

We had a wonderful stay at Five Boutique. Our room was small but very comfortable, and the efficient air conditioning was a real godsend. The neighborhood is on the Left Bank, but away from the usual crowd of tourists. Yet everything we wanted to see was only a short bus ride or Metro ride away. We found a wonderful local restaurant, Cafe Lilou, where we went daily for breakfast. (We had not planned for breakfast at the hotel, but might do so if we returned.) The staff was most helpful, particularly the woman who checked us in late on the night of our arrival--our flight was late. After having suffered through heat in the 30's (C) in Munich, we were thrilled with the air conditioning. We were quite comfortable. My one suggestion would be to put a simple chair in the rooms. An ottoman was provided, but it was insufficient to use for sitting at the table in the room. In short, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The hotel is quaint and artistic in nature, but very clean and comfortable.

Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants of all cuisines by Rue Mouffetard that are reasonable priced compared to central Paris. 7-10 min walk to metro. Lovely French town. Friendly locals & staff. Good value for money. Good breakfast with limited choice but kids loved it. I’d definitely recommend & would come here again.

I stayed here on a Sunday night. The hotel has a very distinctive decor in the public areas - red walls and furniture, neon lights for the room numbers. I had a double room on the 5th floor, which overlooked a residential courtyard. It was clean and quiet. The rooms are small but this is Paris, so this is normal. The ensuite had a small sink and shower. Fine for one night. The people on reception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was minimal selection of breads, fruit, etc, and instant coffee. No problems.

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights & we had nothing bad to say about it. The staff were friendly (particularly the young lady on the front desk), the room was small but nice & the location was great for us. We don’t mind using the busses and metro so it was easy to get around. Some of the decor is questionable but our room was fine. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that - we would rather have explored new places.

They let us store our bags after check out which was nice!

Dear Secretadviser04, It will depend of the type of food you like to eat. But we are near by the rue Mouffetard where you have some nice small restaurants. You have the restaurant "Au Petit Marguery" at 2 minutes on the boulevard Port-Royal. You also have an Italian restaurant "L'Angolo 42" on the rue Broca at 2 minutes by walk. You have a Vietnamese restaurant " Mytho Assie" in our Street Rue flatters. We remain at your disposal for any further information, Kind Regards, The Five Hôtel
