For lovers of French literature this place is great.

We had booked 2 adjoining rooms for 4 people for 4 nights and were a bit disappointed as we did not get adjoining rooms. That was not a big issue in itself as we were still on the same floor.

Our friends were in room 101 and we were in room 103. For all of our tastes, room 101 was much nicer and more practical.

On the positive note about room 103, it was very wheelchair friendly. We did not need that feature, but we applauded the principle. The room was a good size but lacking in storage space. The room was nicely decorated in the memory of Arthur Rimbaud and the furnishings included for example a fake revolver, referring to him being shot by Paul Verlaine. The room had a tiny French balcony, big enough to put your toes out to it. The bathroom was big but not very practical: There was not much storage space for the toiletries and the shower area was half open. That meant that when showering the water spread all over the bathroom floor. The room had a view to the inner yard.

Room 101 had a good amount of storage space, the lampshades were a top hat and another top hat with feathers. There were some nice pictures on the walls relating to Victor Hugo and George Sands. The French balcony was a bit bigger, the bathroom was a practical one. There was a proper shower cubicle which meant it was possible to have a shower without the whole bathroom floor getting wet. There were colour changing lights in the bathroom which was nice touch. The room had a view to the street.

In both rooms 2 pairs of single use (good enough for a few nights) slippers were provided. The toiletries (shampoo, shower gel and body lotion) in the bathroom were by Fragonard. Both rooms also had a wooden floor. Both rooms had a mini-fridge but no kettle.

The ladies at the reception were friendly, the African French young man we once spoke with was a bit arrogant.

The breakfast room was small but that was not a problem, we got a table every morning without any issues. The breakfast buffet was tiny but good with high quality ingredients and it was replenished regularly. Also the choice available in the breakfast buffet was good: It included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and beans, pastries, charcuterie, and breads.

Next to the lobby there was a wine cooler which served the wine in a perfect temperature. That was lovely for a night cap.

Would we stay there again? Not sure. Room 103 (or 203, 303, 403 or 503 as apparently all the floors have the same design) is good enough for a 1 night's stay, but not for more. Room 101 or an equivalent one on a different floor is fine for several nights.

We had a lovely time at this hotel for our Paris/Amsterdam honeymoon. The lady on the front desk every evening was always so helpful and friendly, and immediately upgraded our room when we told her we were on honeymoon. The room itself was gorgeous. It was very small, as expected in Paris, but had everything you need for a nice stay, plus balcony doors you can open to let in some air. The shower was lovely and very clean and spacious with colour changing light.

The best part of the hotel is that after a long day of sightseeing you can relax in bed with a glass of wine and watch one of the many (FREE!!) films on the amazing service built in to the television. There were loads of recent releases all available in both English and French audio. We watched Midsommar and Scary Stories to tell in the Dark.

We're Vegan, and part of the reason we stayed here was the hotels proxinit to Hank Burger. Highly recommend a trip there for a delicious La Rockeuse Burger.

It was a very nice eviroment, the front desk guys are very friendly and they always try to help or suggest the best options. The coffee is Open 7x24 and breakfast is good enough, wifi is free and high speed. Very well located a few meters from metro station. Rooms are clean and confortable, very nice details like lights and decoration. With my wife we spent the new year days with a great experience

My family and I stayed here (August 2022) for a long weekend and would recommend this to others. The hotel is in a good position for visiting all the Paris landmarks, whether you want to walk or jump on the Metro which is a 6 minute walk away. The rooms are lovely (air-conditioned - great when hot), disco lights in out showers, cleaned and tidied daily. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we loved the breakfast buffet (something for everyone). The room does have a hair drier and a mini fridge. No tea/coffee facilities in the rooms though.

Very average experience .
Not in any way a 4* hotel.
The rooms are “cute-ish” but tiny.
Cleanliness ok, though that shouldn’t even have to be mentioned.
Good point for the real size products in the bathroom, but that’s not enough when the service is more of a motel-style character.
No coffee or tea facilities and when room-service (reception employee) does bring a boiler, and two teabags, it’s without cups or spoons…so you end up drinking tea in a glass. Rather happy I didn’t pay for the room myself

Dear Mariah, We thank you for taking the time to share your second experience at our 4-star establishment. As you can imagine, we regret to hear that this stay did not totally comply with your expectations. It's true that you asked for a free upgrade, but we were fully booked during your visit. As for your various requests, they were all met. Of course, we will take into account your feedback regarding the provision of additional accessories in our rooms, in particular to enjoy a tea or coffee. When you left, you told us that you were satisfied with the service provided. We hope that we will nevertheless have the pleasure of seeing you again on your next visit to Paris. Lovely clean hotel in the quiet backstreets - it was fairly easy to find. I walked with a suitcase from Gare du Nord but Cadet station is only a 2 minute walk if you prefer.
The room had everything needed including toiletries (standard these days), fridge, iron and excellent air conditioning. The concierge was very helpful in assisting me find a store to purchase items I had forgotten.

The only let-down for me was the noise. The rooms/doors are quite thin and I could hear everything outside the room.
From the squeaky elevator every time it moved; people talking in the adjacent room and those walking to and from the stairways late at night.
Everything else was perfect: just the late-night internal noise for me.

Lovely small hotel. Staff speak English (and try really hard if they don't :-) ). The rooms are on the small side, but we asked and got moved to a slightly larger room -- in our mind definitely worth it. The little 'balcony' in the smaller room is microscopic and the fully opening windows in the slightly larger room are simply great. The hotel is well-located wrt all the touristy stuff in Paris, but if a 20-30 min walk is not in the cards, there's a Metro station very nearby. Working elevator! On a quiet street so Uber doesn't have to be "inventive". Good quality shower products. Working towel warmer! Plenty of food within spitting distance and right on the Cadet street there are nice bars and restaurants for the evening glass of wine. We would definitely stay here again.

Just here for a night. Staff were helpful, nice breakfast and the most effective & silent temperature controls I've ever come across. Though its close to Cadet Metro you can walk (slightly downhill!) in 10 minutes or so from Gard du Nord or Est. When we went the street was undergoing lot of refurbishment so street looked a bit tatty but there are actually some interesting areas close by as well as many eating establishments within a 200 meters or so

My husband booked this hotel as a surprise. Staff welcoming and friendly return visit to be made. This is a hidden gem of a hotel which we used as a base to visit some of the counties landmarks, The Eiffel Tower is about 1 hour walk or about 30 minutes in a taxi. We took a walk through the city and found the world famous Moulin Rouge, taking the tour train is a must, you get to see some amazing sites, such as The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, the views from the top where simply stunning, well worth the 300 steps to reach the top! Once at the top, you see that Paris has to offer the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe and more.

Fortunately, check in and check out times were never discussed. MyI international flight into Paris arrived about 7:00 a.m and I went directly to the hotel and checked in.My departure time was also very early. I suggest you go to their website and send them an email requesting these times. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful .

It really depends on your airport transit choice, taxi or train. Also if you have large suitcases, heavy bags, multiple bags or bags that don’t roll well over sometimes bumpy streets, then you may want to consider taking a taxi or splurge and have the hotel arrange a private car which will be waiting for you outside customs for the fastest and least amount of transfer stress. This maybe the best way to maximize your time enjoying the city. I usually travel light and prefer public transit. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from Gare de Nord where the RER B Airport Train let’s out. You can stay just about anywhere with a hotel that is close to a metro stop to have access to the whole city. Les Plumes is half a block from the Cadet metro stop so ideal in that regards.
