St. Christopher's Gare du Nord is in a great location, very close to the trains and metro at Gare du l'est and Gare du Nord. The breakfast in the morning is good (if you decide to buy it I say that it's worth it.) The beds were comfortable and my room was quiet. Things that this hostel fell short on were there was no hot water for the showers (doesn't matter what time of day this was, it was always luke warm or cold) it took me 7 hours one day to warm up after my cold shower one morning. The rooms smell of cigarette smoke, the hallway was okay, but the room I was in did not smell good at all. It is a very basic hostel, which is what I expected, but they really need to upgrade their hot water tanks and their showers. This hostel is okay for a short stay, but I wouldn't stay here for a long period of time.

I stayed in a room for 8 people which are spacious with portable air conditioning (a great point in favor since it is not normal to see air in Paris, -they are not allowed), beds with curtains and plugs in them. The bathrooms are outside the room and were generally clean.
It lacks a kitchen (it only has 4 tables downstairs and a microwave) and common areas to meet people and so on.
The bar that they have and that they promote so much is simply that, a bar that has more people from outside than from the hostel, it also offers paid breakfast which I used one day and it was quite complete and delicious.
The main point to keep in mind is that the area where it is located is one of the worst in Paris, a very ugly area during the day and somewhat dangerous at night, for this reason alone I do not recommend it and I would not return either, I think You can get options in better areas at a similar or even lower price

I stayed for 4 nights in this hostel. The setting is nice, clean and super well located (very close to the Gare du Nord, metro, RER, trains etc.).
The common areas are regularly cleaned and the employees are pleasant, one employee even spoke French contrary to the reviews seen previously.
The toilets need to be renewed I think because there are a lot of traces. The beds are not made every day for those who stay for a long time and that’s a shame. The quality/price ratio is very satisfactory (24€/night on Agoda).

Having visited this hostel before, I was looking forward to staying in one of the private rooms. In short, our stay was disappointing.

The good: the hostel is in a decent location. You can walk to Montmartre and Gare du Nord is practically on the doorstep. The food in Belushis is also quite good.

I can't really get past how unclean the hostel is. It is absolutely filthy. The common area does not get cleaned often, and as a result there are rodents living there. I don't mind animals, and this mouse seemed a charming fellow, but mice simply do not gather in clean places. This suggests that the hostel has a long term cleanliness problem. Just keep the place clean and the mice will disappear! As for our room, a sign said that housekeeping would be in to change linen and make beds etc every second day but we never saw them.

The rooms are also very small. We struggled to move about in our double room and I could barely turn around in the shower. Finding room for our luggage was nearly impossible. These double rooms would be better sold as twin rooms, with a bunk instead of a double bed that really doesn't fit.

I had mixed experiences with the staff. The person who helped me organise a late check out was very helpful. The gentleman I got a hair dryer off was not. After surrendering my ID in exchange for the meager hair dryer he simply slapped it down on the counter behind him. When I asked if he was going to put it somewhere safe, his colleague looked at me like I was from another planet. How dare I have a problem with my ID being left haphazardly on a counter behind reception, I guess. Finally, in spite of our late checkout, I had to shut the door on housekeeping twice as they tried to ask if we were done with the room yet.

I had a bad experience with a St Christopher's before in London, and was willing to accept this as an isolated incident. My experiences here tell me that this is not the case. The entire chain has clearly gone downhill and as a result, I will not risk booking another one.

Do not book this hostel!!! The room is cold as a fridge because there is no heating!!! It looks more like an overpriced prison dump with security than a hostel. If there is no heating in Paris until the end of November, then the price should be moderate. There are only 4 showers on the whole floor with "hundred" people staying. There is security in front of the hostel asking you for your card, then you have to check in 4 x times in order to get to your room: in front of the elevator, in the elevator, in the corridor when you leave the elevator, and then to get into the room. The elevator is so dysfunctional because you can use one card for one floor, so a bunch of people are all straggling to press the button with each card. On the 3. floor for safety reasons you cannot open the windows - they are locked, so there is some kind of strange ventilation mechanism that starts buzzing from early in the morning until late in the evening and you cannot switch it on nor off. It made the room even colder. About the location: the area around Gare du Nord is one of the most dangerous locations to go for a walk in the evening in Paris. Yeah, it is well-connected, but it is not a place where you can go for a walk in the evening. Because of the club downstairs, in some rooms, it is super noisy. I want to thank to cleaning staff and people working at the reception. They were super nice and were working really hard.

I will never go back there! Poor room, dirty, the bunk beds are so old, the mattress are thin and so annoying, showers are annoying as well, you have to push it a lot to take a shower.
It was 35 degrees in Franch when I was there and they don’t have air conditioner.
I asked a staff if they had a fan because the room was so hot and impossible to get sleep and he was rude and said that if it wasn’t there means that they didn’t have, he also said that the price was cheaper because that, and the next year the price will be increase because they will put air conditioner in all rooms. Actually the price isn’t cheaper as he said, I’ve seen better prices but I chose they because of the brand, but I regretted it.

When we checked in on a Friday night, the receptionist told us that our room was on the 2nd floor and handed us 4 sets of ear plugs with our keys. Turns out our room faces a courtyard that is part of the bar downstairs. When we got to the room, we understood the need for the ear plugs. The noise/music was bad/loud enough when the 2 person band was playing but got even worse after the band left and the bar only played music. Ear plugs do nothing for the pounding bass from the music, and the bar plays music until 2AM. If you're going to put us in this crappy room at least adjust the rates you charge for it. The room itself was okay except for the large hole in the floor that was covered by the vinyl planking.
The only good things about our stay were the nice staff at the front desk, the comfortable bed and the proximity to the Gare Du Nord train station.

I went to workin Paris but there is no place in the common area for anyone to work with their laptop.
The room is too small for 4 people.
Two people standing up did not fit, there was no chair in the room either. It was not particularly clean. The reception was always busy and at peak times could only serve one person. Cards sometimes don't work.
I forgot my locker and they didn't have ( take with you lockers!! ). The location is close to the metro. I do not recommend it.

Look, the location is nice because it's right by the gare du nord station and that's the extent of the positives for me. When we checked in, they informed us we would be receiving free breakfast in exchange for a positive review, well jokes on you because you're not getting one, I will not be bribed! I don't like when a company offers you something for free so you can give a good review. You bet I ate free breakfast though. However, I was in Paris, I should have been having an actual good meal so whatever, at least I saved money. Anyways, onto the hostel. Here's the thing, the hostel surrounds a restaurant/bar/club. This is good when you want to eat at the hostel, this is bad when it's 2 AM on the weekend and you want to sleep but can't because the music is blasting and the bass is thumping in your chest. I couldn't believe someone designed a space where people are supposed to sleep directly above a loud club. If it was next door I would have understood, but no, it is attached to the hostel. I also came back at around 7 pm the next day thinking I could rest a bit, but nope, the music was there then too. The other thing I hated was the flooded bathrooms. I take a shower and the drain is clogged so the water starts flooding into the bathroom itself. You go into a stall and there's a puddle of water by your feet, how did that even get there? And it happened in both bathrooms near my room. They have floor squeegees in the bathroom. The room itself was fine. Had curtains in the bunks and a sink plus a table but the flooded bathrooms and loud music on the weekends all night made me dislike my stay. I will say the staff was very nice and they did have events for guests but you're still getting a negative review. Thanks for the free breakfast though!

The easiest is to use the train RER B directly from the airport. It will lead you strait to Paris Gare du Nord in 35 mins for 10€. Exit Paris gare du nord, on your left walk approx 100 metres, you will See st. christopher's on your right
