This was a return visit to a well run and friendly hotel. I had requested a room with a walk in shower which was accommodated, thankyou! The room had a large double bed tea/coffee making facilities and was comfortably warm. Although we did not book breakfast at the time of booking we chose from the daily menu (twice) during our stay which was excellent value for money and freshly cooked. Like many places now unfortunately the bar is closed of an evening and dinner was not available during our stay. Not sure if this is an ongoing state.
The staff cannot be more helpful in suggesting modes of transport to the many sights of Paris give it ago!!

I stayed in September 2022 for 3 nights on a b&b basis in room 108 with my daughter. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels in Paris but I’m already looking forward to out next visit to this one.
Our room was spacious, stylish, spotlessly clean and comfortable and the little touches like the bathrobes, slippers, welcome note and complimentary water went a long way. It was a room overlooking the main road but once the curtains were closed you couldn’t hear a peep.
The hotel is a 10 min walk from the Seine, 2 min from the nearest station and close to the Jardin du Luxembourg, so it’s a wonderful location for tourists like us.
Breakfast was fresh each day with a good selection of meats, cheese, croissants and baguettes, good coffee and hot chocolate… when in France… scrumptious!!
The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful when we were booking (especially when I totally messed up our dates and had to move the booking. They’re super friendly and always had time for a quick chat and a smile for us morning and night.
The only problem with this place is that we couldn’t stay longer.
Do yourself a big favour. Make a reservation.
Thank you so much Hotel Observatoire. You make our stay really lovely xxx

It was my first trip to Paris and I found this hotel on a travel offer website. I had no idea where it was in the city or if it would be suitable but having looked at the reviews I decided it was worth the risk. I was travelling with my best friend and I am so pleased that we found this hotel. It was easy to get to from the airport, a straightforward train journey on the RER from CDG airport and a couple of minutes walk from the station. What a delight it was to stay here from the minute we arrived, The room was very nice, a comfy bed and large shower room. We had tea and coffee and a fridge in the room. It is a small hotel, so not too many guests to navigate at breakfast. The staff were brilliant, really helpful, multilingual of course, and really helpful when we needed assistance in finding a restaurant or ordering a taxi. The location is fabulous - with the Luxembourg park across the road where we had lovely walks - lots of restaurants and bars within easy reach as well as being only about 15 minutes walk from the Notre Dame, where you can find the tour bus stop. 'We could not have wished for a better experience for our trip so thank you to everyone. I hope to stay there again .

Oct 2021 did a girls week and stayed at this hotel and it was outstanding!!! Rooms were great, front desk staff friendly and very helpful. The cafe was excellent!!! Fast forward to Aug 2023, after such a great experience we chose to again stay at this hotel. It was quite subpar. Rooms were stiffing when we checked in, hotel staff said it was best they could do on air and they had turned to the lowest setting allowed, bathroom had a strong sewer smell, front desk staff were not very friendly nor helpful. Asked for extra towels and the man at the desk acted like it was an imposition to walk to the linen closet and hand us 4 extra towels, actually signed loudly! Requested a cab, was told it would arrive in 5 min, after 10 it had not arrived so we walked up the street to a cafe. Upon our return to the hotel the person at the front desk admonished us like children that cab arrived and we were gone. Indicated the cab driver insisted the hotel pay 5 euro for no show. We apologized and and said please add the cost to our room. The gentleman at the front desk stood with his arms crossed and said its not important with a very sour facial expression. Totally unprofessional! But, the cafe was just as I remembered, friendly staff, good pastries and excellent cappuccino! Only downside was in 21 we were able to order our breakfasts the night before, this trip breakfast was buffet style. Not so sure I would trust another stay at this adorable boutique hotel. So sad as it is in a perfect location and we loved it so much on our first stay!!!

if you are dependent on wifi during your travel, be wary of this hotel. i stayed for two nights, the wifi was functioning properly in the lobby and on the stairs but never in the room. It took two days of complaining for the receptionist to tell me this was a temporary issue and will be looked at after my departure. To sweeten the pill, they offered a complimentary breakfast on the checkout. However, a coffee and croissant is poor compensation for having to rely on your roaming data to keep up with work. For other travellers' sake I am hoping it was indeed a temporary issue, and not a policy of not investing in decent access points for the rooms.

If you want to stay in a great location (right on the Boulevard St Michel and opposite the Jardins du Luxembourg) and with the friendliest, most professional staff ever, then this is the hotel for you.
We had booked via Travelzoo so weren't expecting anything amazing, but were impressed from the moment we booked (please can we have a room on the top floor? please can we have a bath? will you keep our bags if we check in early? etc. etc) from the moment we left (very reluctantly) after two days. All the staff but in particular Virginie were reassuring, and helpful throughout. And genuinely warm too, it felt like staying with friends.
Room 508 was right on the top floor over the Boulevard, with a view towards the Arc de Triomphe (visible with binoculars?) and - leaning out a bit - Sacre Coeur over in Montmartre. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in (we were so impressed we took a photograph of the mattress label) and the bathroom was clean and efficient with delicious smelling Fragonard potions.
Breakfast was in the Le Luco brasserie downstairs and everything you could want - you order the evening before and it's waiting for you at the time you request. Eggs, bacon, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, ham etc. We barely needed to stop for lunch.
In short, this is a hotel we would love to come back to. For the location, for the view for the mattress, for the breakfast, but most of all for the staff, especially Virginie. Thank you!

My sister and I chose the hotel after finding an online deal that was too good to pass up. Our hotel experience went beyond our expectations starting with the front desk staff. They were friendly and knowledgeable answering all of our questions and helping us in any way they could. Our room was clean, comfortable and roomy. There was a refrigerator in our room as I had requested, but it may have been standard in all rooms. The included breakfast was served in a timely fashion in Le Luco, the hotel’s adjoining restaurant. There were ample choices to start our day. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk and take in so much of what the Left Bank has to offer.

The staff at the Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. I give the staff five stars, the hotel less so. The hotel is a nice little boutique hotel and is listed as a four star hotel but that's on a different scale than what you would expect in the US. The rooms are average for a french hotel, they seemed clean and a bit small. Our shower broke the first night and wouldn't stop running. The hotel was booked so we spent the first night with our water turned off. The hotel cleaned and prepared a substitute room the next morning and bought us dinner for our inconvenience but did not comp the room for that night. The windows kept the street noise out but our new room was too warm and we had to open the windows and heard the street noise, late night chatter and what seemed like continuous sirens most that night. We kept the windows closed the next two nights. I thought our rate was high for the room we received but, it is Paris and we did book our hotels fairly late in our planning. The staff here is the redeeming aspect of the hotel, very friendly and helpful with useful advice about the city and attractions. The staff in the restaurant was also friendly and made our visit enjoyable. The hotel seemed to be in a good location, near the subway and bus stops, within walking distance of the Pantheon, and the Cluny Museum and a short bus ride or longer walk to the Sainte-Chapelle and Nortre Dame. One day we did walk back from the Louvre but that was a bit too long of a walk after visiting the museum, the bus or train would have been a smarter choice.

A small hotel with large enough rooms, very clean and cozy. Everything available you need. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they try to fulfill every wish. Due to the direct location on Bulv’ Mich’ you can hear the heavy traffic almost continuously, so sleeping with the window open is only possible with earplugs. The house itself is a bit noisy as the room doors are not adequately insulated. The elevator is too small and is just enough for 2 people with suitcases. For us with rooms in the 1. Stick but no problem.

We had a room for 2 adults and a child. It was on the 1st floor (2nd floor for Americans). The lift was very small so we used the stairs. The room we had was in no way accessible for a wheelchair user but the hotel may have other rooms available if you ask.

If you are asking if there is airport transportation included with a TripMasters trip then No, it would be something you have to arrange separately and pay. I arranged and paid for a transport service from Charles DeGaul and in hindsight wished I hadn't because there is a metro line that is very convenient and super close to the hotel and I believe you don't have to change any metro lines.
