Neighbourhood
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

My family of 4 (2 small children) stayed here for 3 nights. The location from hotel to Metro is only a 3 minute walk, very convenient. The neighborhood is surrounded with restaurants and such, so it's nice a busy but quiet at the same time. Our hotel room comprised of a queen

Dear Rachel, Many thanks for your comments, we are so happy to read your stay was wonderfu with us. I've just reported your comments to the Housekeeping Manager. For information, our service of cleaning call you to know if you need to clean your room, if there is no answer, housekeepers go in the room. For security, we have to ignore sign on door when the guest doesn't answer. If a guest need to keep alone without cleaners, they have to indicate to the reception. We hope to welcome you very back soon again, Warm regards, Carole-Anne, Community Manager at Mercure Paris Gare Montparnasse

We had a really good time there, comfy bed, good room! Breakfast choices are big and very home like, the waitress are nice and helpful. Close to the metro stations, many restaurants and pubs around. Good location to get around.

This hotel has been refurbished and has gone down in quality, unfortunately. The rooms are small and basic. The bar/restaurant is open-plan, attempting to be trendy but too disorganised to pull it off. Staff are also appalling - there is very rarely anyone at the table that

Dear Abi, We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Hôtel Mercure Paris Gare Montparnasse. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. We are happy to learn you enjoyed the location. The hotel indeed is in the famous "rue de la Gaité", in the old district of Montparnasse. For information, our rooms have just been renovated with a new decoration and new and modern design. We are so sad to read you didn't enjoy our beds with memory foam mattress. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one. We hope to welcome you very back soon again, Warm regards, Carole-Anne, Community Manager at Mercure Paris Gare Montparnasse

How long Is the metro ride to Eiffel tower? Thanks
One more piece of information- accessing the metro lines At Montparnasse is a long walk- add time for this. I find it much easier to take metro at Gaitie stop - quick access- and change lines.

I agree we were at the front of the Hotel not far from the lifts and had no noise disruption. It is a really quiet hotel.
