Detailed Reviews
We’ve just returned from a 3 night stay at les patios du Marais and we had a wonderful visit. The reception is quite sparse and the staff were ok, not hugely friendly but we have no complaints. The room (3DD) was light and bright, a bit tired in places but very well equipped with a small kitchen, fridge freezer, dishwasher etc. the room looks out on the courtyard and you can sometimes get a bit of noise in the night. The upper rooms are accessed via very small spiral stairs which can be difficult if you have luggage or accessibility needs. The rooms were pretty clean and the 90s ikea decor definitely looks better in the pictures. Overall though we (family of four) were very comfortable and we appreciated having space to cook meals and relax. It’s really well positioned for visiting the sights, plenty of bars, restaurants nearby. If you are looking for a smart luxury getaway this isn’t the place for you but if you want a cost effective place to stay in a good location and you aren’t too worried with a bit of wear and tear in the room this is a good option.

We stayed in the boogie woogie room, it was a great location, very clean, staff friendly. We were worried after seeing reviews about beg bugs however called them and they reassured it was sorted, all bedding was clean looked like new. Allowed late check in at 11pm and held our luggage all day after 11am check out. Right near several metro stations, bars and restaurants all within 10 min walk. The locks on room doors were electric and used a code to work which made it feel very secure.

The place is cute, low IKEA quality, which I am OK. Great location, close to shops, markets, metro and museums. However, they fail to understand what market they want to capture. They allow young, loud and inconsiderate clientele book these rooms. We have not been able to sleep for two nights. When told the front office, they just said oh yeah the bachelorette party. We spoke to manager and asked to have a policy and enforce it. No excessive noise after 10 pm like any other well run, professional hotel. Tonight again and the night attendant is not responsive. Good luck booking this place during your stay. I read the reviews, took my chance and regret it.

I strongly recommend to avoid this place.
In our terrible experience (just a weekend with my girlfriend) at the check in a young girl (too young maybe she is less than 18) asked us to pay the room even if we have already paid by booking by credit card! She doesn't know how to check with booking even if we were suggesting her to contact the booking call center. But she doesn't and she didn't let us to go to the apartment. She blocked us at the reception for 1 hour!!
The manager (Jeremy) is never available, he leaves that inexperienced guys completely alone and without a basic training for that job.
The same night another young guy from the reception come to our apartment at 01:00 during night to say that they forgot to charge us the city tax, and he want to be paid at 01:00!! we were sleeping!! It was very incredible!
The flat was dirty everywere, also in the bathroom. Also the stairs was very dangerous, there were a wet nylon on the stairs that caused a big risk of slipping. In the very small flat, no hooks fot hanging vests.

My studio room had bed bugs through it. When calling the reception after hours I was told to wait and to go reception at 9am when they opened - I had 200+ bed bug bites over my body at this point. The hotel agreed to refund my stay but I have not been refunded weeks later. So that no bugs remained on my luggage or clothing I spent days in Paris cleaning everything I owned in laundromats and visiting pharmacies. I have had to call booking.com many times and have heard nothing for weeks. I’m disappointed with the service from the hotel, but especially from booking.com. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Please stay away.

We booked this location on Hotels.com and I was a little worried. But, there were no problems at all. The staff was really helpful and kind. We really enjoyed talking to them. We got a room for 6 of us. It was decorated nicely. It had a washing machine. We had a plumbing issue and it was resolved quickly without a problem. This place is like an AirBnB with some of the benefits of a hotel such as an attendant on duty and a place to store your luggage prior to check-in, if needed. The location was fantastic and we felt comfortable walking in the area with our school-aged kids. There are some great places to eat nearby.
Understand though that this is not a fancy hotel. It is more like a little apartment with a wonderful staff on duty. It was a great option for our family,

Avoid this place. It’s dirty and not at all as described. The space above the bed which is on a mezzanine was less than 60cm. They expect people to crawl into bed, literally. The sheet was stained with a big brown circle. Above the bed was a small roof window which was mouldy. The blind kept opening and was secured by one nail. Next to this window, directly above your face was a large stained damp patch. On the lower level the third bed was a sofa. This was covered in grease marks and smelt of sick. The towels were stained and unclean. The room was in the roof and was a searing heat. The provided air conditioning unit had a huge tube which had to be put out the window which meant the window couldn’t be closed. The unit took up much of the remaining room and was exceptionally noisy. To make up the sofa bed, all the remaining furniture had to be moved into the kitchen area. This included a broken lamp base that didn’t seem to have any purpose in the room. The bathroom was in disrepair with peeling paint and slapped on filler. See pictures. I asked to switch rooms. Had no response. The next morning we left despite having paid for three nights. I told them this and asked for a refund. No response. Still no response. This building contains many small apartments all very close together. Ours was right in the roof. The entire set up seems shoddy. The risk of fire seems high. There was only one staircase down. I strongly advise anyone to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Anyone considering staying here should read the recent reviews and ask if the advantages (great location and well-equipped kitchen) outweigh its many shortcomings. The "apartments" are tiny rooms, there is no housekeeping, there is no lift, the phones don't work, the wi-fi is weak, water pressure is low, etc. We had no problems with the staff, who were friendly and helpful (although we are not convinced they pay 4 euros pppn tourist tax).

Response from Patios Du Marais, Directeur général at Les Patios Du Marais
Responded 8 May 2023
Sir, Many thanks for taking the time to write down your feelings concerning our residence! We're sorry you felt that way. We have taken your comment regarding cleanliness into consideration. We will discuss it with the team concerned. We are sorry that Wi-Fi did not work during your stay, it has been repaired since. Due to the structure of our building, the installation of a lift is unfortunately not possible within our establishment. As for the tourist tax, it is quite obvious that we strictly apply what we have to pay to the Paris City Council! Best regards

Except for the location we were not at all happy about this place. Very tiny room (no space to open two suitcases) and bathroom (you can hardly move). The bed is way too small if you're not a couple. The pictures on the site are deceitful!
The door to the bathroom didn't close well.
Staircases are narrow and not clean. No elevators (this should be mentioned on their site!), whereas there are at least 4 floors. We took a room with a patio, which was nice, but your privacy is very limited: the other patios surrounded ours.
Very thin walls.
We felt unsafe as to fire security: the smoke detector had been removed!
The sockets for the reading lamps were hard to find and reach.
Very expensive, it's actually rude to make clients pay so much for getting so little.
We won't go back!
We do want to mention that the staff tried to be helpful as to our complaints, but of course most problems are beyond what they can change...

When my friend and I arrived we were chased up the winding staircase to our room by a women screaming and hissing at us who then proceeded to bang on our door unprovoked. We then found that the bed was located in a loft (I had booked a studio room) that was too close to the ceiling for us to access making it unusable.
We spoke to the women at the front desk who informed us that the hotel guest that chased us was a long term booking and they did not have another room to put us in. We did not feel safe to continue our stay there and the room was not as described online as the bed was not accessible to anyone bigger than a small child.
The management has not even apologized for the situation and getting a refund has been impossible as they are rude, dismissive and slow to respond.

Hello,
you can come directly at the apartment.
Take line 4 from the railway station and change at station "réaumur" to line 3 and then stop at arts et métiers, whhich is 2 minutes walk way from our residence.
Regards.
We stayed in the GF apartment right next to the Courtyard. GF apartments are larger and more suitable for a family of 4.
Dear guest,
it should cost 10€.
Best regards.
Dear guest,
by public transportation:
- take RER B to Saint Remy, stop at Châtelet
- change to metro line 4 in the direction of Porte de Clignancourt and stop at Réaumur-Sébastopol
- change to metro line 3 in the direction of Gallieni and stop at Arts et Métiers
- leave the metro, take Rue Beaubourg and then 3rd on the right is Rue des Gravilliers. Our residence in at the number 26.
The whole should take around 50 minutes.
Best regards.
