Hotel's Favourite
The perfect stay - staff are to be highly commended (absolutely excellent). The rooms were extremely well equipped and very comfortable and quiet. A great outdoor seating area and excellent breakfast facilities. Good location for attractions around Montmartre (5 minutes walk to Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur). Excellent hotel if you are looking for something relatively small, quiet with a great vibe.

Rooms, Location, Staff, Food, Vibe, and Price are all perfect.
I have stayed at many places in Paris; I have even written five-star reviews about a couple. But Monsieur Aristide stands out among them all. My new favorite in Paris.
Montmarte is known for its art and cafes, and food. But it is also known for noise and dirt and indifferent hotels. Monsieur Aristide gives you the best of Montmarte with a few steps of its front door, with none of the negatives. It feels like you are staying at a friend's villa in the middle of Montmarte.
The hotel itself is relatively new, having opened in October 2021. The entry is non-descript, almost secret. The interior design is impeccable, plaster in warm earth tones with occasional stone walls exposed. The rooms are small but don't feel that way at all. With great care, they have created a space with light, storage, and everything you might need. The attention to detail is staggering, old french looking porcelain electrical fixtures (even the USB charging ports are porcelain). Old french phones (updated with digital dials). Clean, simple walls.
But in the end, the staff makes a hotel, and this team is lovely, friendly, helpful, flexible, and caring. More than once, I witnessed guests hugging them as if a newfound family as they left for the airport. What better recommendation is there?

I have stayed at the Hotel for a few nights - the location was perfect, fully immersed in the heart of Montmartre (while being incredibly quiet thanks to being on a side street and perfectly insulated), close to the best amenities, shops and restaurants in the area (where I lived for several years and is my base when I come back to Paris). The hotel has been charmingly decorated to the highest standard and the room provides every comfort, including air conditioning that was life-saving in the Paris heat. The common areas are a great asset to the hotel, with a lovely bar/restaurant and a beautiful, quiet garden where you can have breakfast, dinner or a drink. The staff is also incredibly welcoming and helpful. Very recommended!

We are very grateful for the lovely review you decided to share with other travelers. Thank you so much. The Aristide Bruant street is indeed very quiet for a so vibrant area, allowing our guest to both fully rest and enjoy the city 's surprises. We are glad to read you experienced and enjoyed as well the Café Aristide at every moment of the day ;-) Looking forward to welcoming you again soon, Best from Montmartre !

We travelled for a short trip to Paris and were blown away by this small but amazing hotel, which is perfectly located, at the foot of Montmartre and next to a shopping street, brasseries and cafés. The hotel has just been renovated - apparently by a very talented interior designer! - and offers an exquisite mixture of classic and trendy. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, eager to help and please. They recommended a very romantic restaurant for the evening, did not hesitate to serve lunch at 3 pm or diner at 10 pm. The breakfast was also a highlight, fresh croissants and pastries in a cosy corner full of books and plants, along with Antoine (one of the staff) singing for the guest in a most beautiful way possible. The rooms are standard Paris size, small but amazingly designed and confortable, very clean, with a view on the garden or Paris' roofs. Actually, we are a bit torn in writing this review as we are sure to come back and would not like it to be fully booked because it is so good! Merci Monsieur Aristide et à bientôt!

Hotel Monsieur Aristides is an absolute gem of a hotel. Set in a small side street in the heart of Montmartre, it has everything a visitor could ask for. The initial greeting from the staff made us feel truly welcome and our room (with terrace) exceeded expectations. The bed was really comfortable, a decent shower and outstanding accoutrements. The breakfast buffet each morning was excellent, with a wide range of options. Quality and quantity were both brilliant. The evening meal menu was quite small but carefully chosen to cater for different tastes and was excellent value.
To us, the key feature of any hotel is the staff and it is here that Hotel Monsieur Aristides shines. All the staff we had contact with were genuinely pleasant, unfailingly helpful and courteous and a credit to the ethos of the hotel.
This trip was a birthday treat for my wife and we could not have had better accommodation had we paid twice as much. Given half a chance we shall undoubtedly return.

We spent a very pleasant 4 night stay in mid October. The staff were amazingly welcoming (we had our preconceptions about Parisiens!). The area around the hotel was very safe and we felt very comfortable enjoying evenings out in the local area. The room was not large but with thought we were able to utilise the space well, we would recommend squashy suitcases so you can hide them under the bed. We ate one night at the hotel and were entertained by (Antoine?) a member of staff to some excellent music, he had a great voice. We were able to practice our French but the staff were very comfortable speaking English. The location was not far from the metro and bus services but being in a side street there was very little noise in the night so we slept very well. Certainly a hotel we would recommend to our friends.

Dear Gary, Paris in the autumn – what a time to experience the City of Lights! We're thrilled that you had a fantastic 4-night stay with us and that our staff's kindness defied the age-old stereotypes about Parisians. The hotel's location in a safe area, close to the metro and bus services, ensures convenience without compromising on peaceful nights. While our rooms may not be large, we appreciate your space-saving tip. Our team is comfortable conversing in both French and English (and Spanish, Italian, and Russian), making communication easy. We're glad you had a delightful evening with Antoine's music performance. Who knew a Parisian could hit those high notes? (You're right, Antoine is from the Champagne area!) Your recommendation is greatly appreciated. We'd be delighted to welcome you back or even some of your friends. Thanks for choosing Maison!

Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations from A to Z. In the heart of Montmarte, we could not have asked for a better location. 5-10 mins walk to all the attractions like the Moulin Rouge, Sacra Ceur and restaurants and shopping. Yet it was extremely quiet and private. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Antoine who showed us around patiently. The decor is unique with every piece specially curated such as their vintage jukebox in the lobby. The bar and restaurant were warm and inviting with friendly service staff. Our rooms on the lower level were well decorated and we enjoyed having drinks in our private garden. On our last day, front desk manager Pierre went above and beyond all our expectations. As we were running very late to catch our train to Val d’sere and traffic was busy, he suggested we take the Metro instead of taxi. However as we were unfamiliar, he accompanied us and helped with our luggage to the metro and helped us buy our tickets. We then realised the my husband had left his back pack in the hotel so we rung Pierre and he ran all the way back to the Metro to hand us the back pack. We made it to our train with one minute to spare! We highly recommend this charming and chic hotel to any visitor to Montmarte.

Dear Mrs & Mr Advani, Thank your very much for your lovely comment. We are warmly happy that you enjoyed your parisian stay, as the Moulin Rouge and the Vintage shops. That was fabulous that you could enjoyed the private garden for your cocktails and celebrate Paris waiting for Val d’Isère. All the staff were very happy to meet you and your sweet family. We really hope that you had a safe trip to go skying. It’ll be a pleasure welcome you back at Monsieur Aristide and organize your next visits and activities that Montmartre area could offer you and plan shows, museums and exhibitions with you. We chose this hotel as it was close for us to walk to our meetings. The location is delightful and the hotel is chic and charming. The staff are very attentive, room was well equipped and quiet so no disturbed sleep.
We sat at the bar for Kir Royale 🥂🍾before walking to Monmartre to see the beautiful Parisian Church and views. We then dined in the square and were serenaded by the wonderful guitar duo.

My wife and I stayed at the Monsieur Aristides for our 17th wedding anniversary, while visiting Paris. The hotel is very clean throughout and the staff go way beyond there duty to ensure your stay is enjoyable, very friendly making every guest feel special. From the moment we arrived Carla was very welcoming, Pierre could not do enough to assist you in any way he can. A very special mention for Antoine he is an amazing host not only does he go out of his way to make your stay enjoyable he can sing too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Monsieur Aristide. We arrived early (before 11 am) and were planning on just asking if we could leave our luggage with them, but they gave us our room immediately. The room was very clean and exactly like in the pictures. The decor makes you feel like you've stepped into another time. Staff was always very friendly. Lots of lovely cafés and restaurants are just around the corner, bus and metro stations are closeby too. You can walk to Sacre Coeur in 10 minutes or to Galeries Lafayette in 20 minutes. If we come back to Paris, we'll stay here again.
