We stayed five nights at this charming hotel during our first visit to Paris. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was not much more than a cupboard size and had no windows for ventilation but my understanding is that this is to be expected in Paris as buildings are quite old and have been adapted to modern standards. The continental buffet breakfast was excellent. Special mention for the freshly baked pastries. We delighted in eating them every morning plus the fresh bread and cheese and meats. There was a transport strike during our time there so we walked a lot and found the hotel centrally located. Lots of restaurants and a small supermarket located nearby with larger stores including Galeries La Fayette located within walking distance. One tip. The lift is designed to accommodate only one person and baggage. Be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs but I have found that Paris tends to be a walking city with lots of steps so it didn’t bother us too much. We liked the security access. The outside doors will not open unless you have a keycard or the reception open it although there should be a notice explaining this as we didn’t know when we first arrived. Will stay here again next time we are in Paris.

Reminded me of Fawlty Towers when we arrived but improved with change of receptionist the following day. Original bedroom very small with shower over high bathtub. Receptionist insisted we had booked twin beds, even when travel agent checked the booking confirmation at her end. Tradies working in entry foyer with cords, equipment etc across the floor. When I asked if we could have an electric kettle in the room and was bluntly told "Non". I clarified, again asking for a jug to boil water for a cup of tea and again it was a loud, abrupt "Non". When I queried further I was told to come to Reception, from the 2nd floor, if I wanted to make a cup of tea. On the second day we were moved into the accessible room which was much larger, with an easy access shower. Only one pillow per person.

Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share with us your impressions of your last visit to the Peyris Opéra hotel. I regret that certain incidents upset you during your stay. We would like to point out that the buffet of our establishment is located in the room on the ground floor and that we do not understand your comments regarding the preparation of tea on the second floor? We sincerely hope that your next visit will live up to the experience we want our customers to have. Very cordially, Management.

Stayed here for 1 night while on a quick trip to Paris. For us, ideally located- short walk from the Gare du Nord, so when we got off the eurostar at 11am we were able to pop straight to the hotel to leave our bags (and use the toilet and grab some free water!) Then walked straight back out to explore Paris :) got back to the hotel around 10.30pm after a long busy day, able to check in quickly and get into our room. A decent size, cosy and warm (it was a freezing night so we were grateful for this!) and a decent bathroom, plus a balcony with a lovely view. Agree walls are thin- we could hear the person above us taking a shower- but after a long day we were tired enough to fall asleep straight away!! Woke up the next morning, enjoyed a nice hot shower and were able to store our luggage again until the late afternoon when we picked it up on the way back to the Gare du Nord. Overall, a great budget hotel and would definitely stay again when next in Paris. Merci!

We booked two nights in your hotel through Portugal, on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2024. 2 rooms, 1 triple and one double

On the first day when checking in, we were very well received by the receptionist, who made rooms 325 and 324 available to us.

The two rooms were not very clean, 325 was acceptable and 324 had an unbearable bad odor.

We kept the 325, however we asked to exchange the 324.

We were then assigned room 106, which was even worse than the previous ones. In addition to being super small and dirty, there was also the toilet on one side of the bed, and the sink and shower on the other side.

Once again, a room change was requested, but due to the unavailability of another room, we were allocated a room for the disabled, without windows and right next to the breakfast room, which after 6am it is no longer possible to rest, due to the noise, the situation this was informed by the employee.

He apologized and informed that the next day he would have a room to replace.

We arrived at the hotel at 9pm, the same employee is at reception and informed us that there is no other room available.

This was not the service we paid for. We paid for a room, in a 4-star hotel, and we stayed in a completely closed room, never airy, without being able to rest due to the noise. And without solving the problem!!! The kitchen door is opposite the bedroom door!!

Worst hotel experience!!!

The Good: The staff at the hotel were very nice, they also were very helpful with helping us get a cab to Disney Paris. The breakfast was also well, it had a variety that was decent. I also liked the aesthetic of the hotel as a whole.

The Bad: It was summer time and we didn’t check the reviews because the air conditioning didn’t work, even though it was advertised that they did. So it was 99F and it felt like 110 inside.

The bathroom vent was covered with a thick amount of dust, which creeped me out. And reduced my the efficiency of the fan. The beds were lopsided and uncomfortable they need to be replaced.

All in all come prepared with a full ice bucket to soak your towels to cool yourself off.

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to share with us your impressions of your last visit to the Peyris Opéra hotel. Indeed, the air conditioning unit was put in a safe position because of the heat wave, we called in our maintenance service to solve this problem as well as a more in-depth cleaning of the bathroom ventilation. At present most of the rooms remain air-conditioned. I regret that this moment left you with a bitter taste and sincerely hope that your next visit will live up to the experience we want our customers to have. Sincerely.

I usually select hotels with a minimum of 3 stars for my business or personal travel to guarantee a certain quality of comfort and services...
I select this 4* hotel for its location in Paris, its interesting photos and its...
I arrive at this hotel a kind of hallway with a recess that serves as a welcome...
The staff was very friendly and...
I take the elevator very cramped 2 people maximum... well the hotel had to be located in an old building and they had to stand to architectural constraints...
I'm going back to the room...
Minimalist bathroom with toilet included:
No storage
Outdated shower cabin 80 X 80 with indoor retractable accordion door further limiting amplitude, plastic shower head...
Very low-end hair dryer that doesn't even deserve this name I went to bed with wet hair impossible to dry...
No benefits, only a shower soap and shampoo, for the ecology, so to speak...
Paper glasses that have not been replaced during my 4 days...
No kettle or other, I learned after negative reviews that hot drinks were made available free of charge but I was not informed...
Bar 7 days a week on the Internet but not really there... my only request was an orange juice at 3:00 p.m. but this was not possible...
How can this hotel be built like a Hilton where I slept during a previous stay in Paris or any other hotel worthy of these 4*!!!
Goodbye...

We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and the helpfulness of the staff was consistent throughout our stay. Our room was smallish but very comfortable, with all the facilities that we needed. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of choices - cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, cold meats, cheese, fresh bread, croissants etc. There was always someone on reception on-hand to answer questions and organise transport if you wished.

I expect a warm welcome from a 4-star hotel. However, we had to wait 15 minutes before one could assign our room because they were scanning papers for other guests..with two staff members that is. Not even a moment, we are going to help you in a moment...the reception afterwards was fine and friendly.
The room on the fifth floor was very small, and the bed much too small for my partner...his feet were out of the bed. My partner who is big, could barely get in the shower and had abrasions on his body to get out. Also we only had 1 large towel , I understand that one wants to save the environment but 1 towel for 2 is not okay ... and 1 cup for brushing the teeth ... it looked like the room was prepared for 1 person. For 4 stars I expect much more service...indeed a fridge (hot weather) or at least coffee provision would have been nice.
Probably the spacious rooms are better, but I think every room and service should be top for 4 stars.
However, the location is fine, close to many nice restaurants, gare du Nord, but unfortunately, here we do not come back.

In my room the A\C didn't work, the wc room was so small that i couldn't fit in (i'm184 and very slim), the aeration system didn't work inside the bathroom and one light was flickering, the room was dirty and you could hear every single words that my room neighbours were saying, you could hear also every drop of piss they had.
I went to the concierge and he Immediately changed my room with a smile, he did the right thing with the right attitude. The new room was better but still dirty (the cleaning lady skipped twice in a week the cleaning) and kind of outdated. The position of hotel is perfect but from my point of view the pricing is out of this world for this kind of structure. Thank you again to all the hotel staff for their kindness.
