After a three hour tiring train ride from Avignon we were welcomed to the Hotel Palm ASTOTEL by Claudia who made us instantaneously feel welcome giving us all the information needed about our stay and much more.
The entire hotel staff was extremely friendly and ready to help whenever needed. We had two rooms, both very clean, relatively small, facing to the front with a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower (if you are sensitive to moderate street noise, ask for rooms facing the back).
Highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Palm ASTOTEL if you are looking for a centrally located place (this one is walkable distance from the Montmartre and many good restaurants) at a reasonable price.
We hope to be back soon.

I just spent two nights here since Americans can return to France post-covid restrictions.

Not only were ALL of the staff friendly and efficient at check in and check out, everyone wears masks inside except while eating breakfast downstairs. The rooms and common areas very clean. I speak French but they spoke flawless English with the other guests.

The windows were double paned so it was quiet and there were black out blinds to sleep and recover from jetlag. In a residential area an easy 18 minutes walk from Gare du Nord with RER B. Breakfast consisted of eggs, charcuterie, cereal, pastries, 5 kinds of juice, etc. I'd go back there again! they are only on the Rive Droit side of the river but can't wait to check out the other locations.

Lovely hotel set in an attractive tree lined Parisian Street. Good public transport links with 3 metro stations within a few minutes walk and a bus stop across the road. The Opera house was a short walk away 20mins for most but it took me about half an hour. This is where The Hop on Hop off buses stop. There were lots of different restaurants within a few minutes walk.
I had requested a room with a walk in shower so I was given the room especially designed for the disabled which has everything you’d need if you were disabled, but as I only have a walking disability that only requires the use of a stick I don’t like to consider myself ready for a wheelchair accessible room!Yet! I asked to be moved which they very kindly did the next day. Our new room was on the first floor overlooking the street which we had requested after changing. It was a good size, clean and warm. The lovely white sheets and towels were changed daily and we even had a change of shower curtain after two days. Mini bar with complimentary water -still & fizzy, orange juice and Pepsi with complimentary snacks downstairs which were available in all their hotels if you went into another.
The breakfast offered was very good and varied, hot bacon, sausage, eggs & crepes along with all sorts of continental cheeses, meats, bread etc. to suit everyone. The only downside was that it was a bit cramped.
There was a lift to all floors. The reception staff were all brilliant- nothing was too much trouble. I’d certainly stay again if I visit Paris again.

We chose this hotel as it is within walking distance of Gare du Nord (approx 15 mins).

We were greeted by a lovely receptionist, Emma, who patiently coped with our school day efforts to speak French and who was wonderfully friendly, welcoming and helpful during our two separate days staying in the hotel. She really made our stay! We also met Emma's colleague (male but we unfortunately didn't catch his name) who was on the night shift and was equally friendly and helpful.

Our rooms were quite small but both faced into an internal courtyard meaning that they were quiet which was great for a light sleeper like me. We arrived quite early on our second visit but the room was ready so we could settle back in straightaway which was much appreciated.

Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of good quality food and drink, both hot and cold. It was constantly topped up by a lovely lady working in the breakfast area.

The minibar fridge in the room with complimentary soft drinks was also much appreciated. An interesting and thoughtful touch is the availability of complimentary snacks in the reception area and access to the same in the other Paris hotels in the group.

Overall an excellent stay in a hotel well positioned for the railway station and with a metro close by for access to the beautiful sights of Paris. Good restaurants and bars also close by in the local area.

We booked this hotel very last minute and very much on a whim due to our original holiday to another European city been cancelled due to storms in the UK.
So with very little research on Paris itself, its areas and the hotel we were simply hoping for the best.
Maybe this is how we will book all our holidays going forward as we were very pleasantly suprised.
We arrived late ish (9.30pm) but were greeted by a friendly gentlemen who checked us in.
The rooms although small have everything you would need including a free mini bar which was great.
Our original trip fell over our anniversary so we were even more disappointed to have it cancelled but we emailed this hotel and just put in a request for ' if available ' one of the rooms with a balcony and or view. They did not disappoint see my photo attached. Such a treat to look out of our window to that view.
Breakfast was also great, so much choice, always kept topped up, fresh, hot. Just very well managed by the staff that work down there.
The location was great. We walked everywhere as we find this is the best way to take in sights and stumble across places but there is a metro nearby.
Its particularly close to Montmartre which we really loved. So pretty.
Also only about a 15min walk from the train station which was handy for getting to and from the airport.
The option to pop into all 17 hotels around the city for complimentary drinks and snacks after 2pm is also an amazing idea and would I'm sure encourage people to stay at this hotel group.
We really enjoyed our stay and we were very glad we chose this hotel and would definitely reccomend for others to stay.

Hotel Palm is a wonderful hotel that I will definitely be staying in again! Visited this hotel around Mid-March with a friend. We stayed for two nights in a twin room. The room was quite spacious, and had: comfortable beds, a stocked (and free) mini bar (replenished each day), large TV, a safe, places to hang your clothes, a balcony and a great view of the Eiffel Tower! The Hotel also offers a wonderful afternoon tea service from 2pm - 2am each day. The great things is that you can attend this service at any of the hotels in the Astotel chain! (We took full advantage of this service). I would finally note that the staff were excellent. We were checked in/out by Claudia, who was very friendly and gave us a great run down of the services provided. We also met Riad, who worked at night. He was super friendly and very helpful. it was great to come in after a long day out and have chat with friendly face. Overall, it was a perfect stay. Very, very happy.

Where do I begin? I give this tiny hotel 5 stars based on the cleanliness, location, and helpful staff.

The hotel is walking distance to the train (Gard du Nord), ins a safe neighborhood, and close to many attractions. The rooms are tiny, as most hotel rooms are in Paris, but they are clean and stocked with refreshments. Our double room had a small balcony and a view of the Eiffel Tower that I enjoyed looking at every night! Breakfast was OK, not gourmet but adequate for the price. Just enough to get you going for a busy day of sightseeing. By staying at an Astotel, you can take advantage of other amenities at neighboring Astotels. This was very convenient as we stopped in for coffee, water, and used the restrooms while out exploring Paris.

The only negative is the shower was a bit dated and quite a challenge for me. The ceiling on the 6th floor is dormered, so a tall person would have difficulty with the slanted wall in our shower. A bath is a good option as the tub is deep. The room was also tiny for 2 people and there was not much room for our clothes but we managed using some creativity.

Without a doubt, the staff is what makes this hotel a real gem. The hotel concierges spoke perfect English and were incredibly friendly, helpful, and sincere. Emma and Riad were exceptional! Both went out of their way to help us book tours, call the consulate when I thought I lost my passport, select restaurants, and book transportation - a thoughtful touch was adding a care package of juice and snacks since I was departing very early in the morning before breakfast was available!

If you are looking for a luxury hotel with spacious rooms, a spa, and top-rated restaurant, you may want to keep looking, but if you want an authentic Paris experience with great service at a reasonable price, this hotel is perfect! I would definitely return to this hotel.

Hotel staff will go above and beyond too make sure your stay is exceptional. The rooms in the hotel are perfectly sized!

The reception even leave out pastries for you or! You can have a breakfast buffet for 7 euros per person per day.

You will not find cheaper than that in paris, me and my partner and students so that has been more than ideal for us,

All landmarks have been in easy walking distance, google maps says 27 minutes for the louvre and it only took 15.

If you're a student looking for a safe hotel with staff that speak pretty much any language you can think of. Go here. The receptionist when we arrived spoke english, spanish and french, they all have the languages they speak on their name tags.

The reception even let me practice some french with him he was that involved in making my stay a 10/10 ''If you would like too practice with me, I would be more than happy too help out!''

P.S

Me having a father which has the disability of his right leg being amputated from above the knee i asked I'd he could visit this place and they accommodate for people with disability

This is my serious review of the place, no way is this place a three star hotel, the french starring system must be daft too think this place does not deserve at least four.

I was very happy with my stay at Palm. Every single employee was beyond kind, the room was cleaned every single day and the snacks at the reception area were a really nice touch. I cannot wait to come back.

Special thanks to Claudia, our receptionist, who made me feel right at home. Overall, a wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed here in June of 2022. This is the the second time for us in 5 years. It is just as good as we remembered!
We love the fact that you can get a direct train (there is a train that has NO stops and there is another that has multiple stops) from CDG to Gard du Nord. From Gard du Nord it is a 15-20 min walk down "Rue du Maubeuge".
We were greeted by "Emma" who checked us in and informed us about the property and it's "sister" locations. Emma was always willing to help and was always cheerful.
We truly enjoy the breakfast at the hotel as it allows you to plan your day and gets you out the door "Fed and watered". Typical fair; eggs, breads, sweet buns, coffee, juices, yogurt, deli etc. Compliments to the staff that works there, always friendly and they keep the place very clean.
We got the "Room with a view" of the Eiffel Tower located on the top floor. It was surprisingly quiet at night compared to our previous stay where we had a room on the 3rd floor and heard the traffic noise start very early in the morning.
The bathroom was perfectly fine but the shower was a bit small as, being on the top floor the wall was inclined in the shower. If you are a larger person you will find this to be a problem.
We appreciated the small fridge with water, juice and pop. It allowed us to keep some yogurt and sandwiches to take with us during our days on the town. You can walk from the hotel to many sights or take the metro at the closest stop "Cadet".

For us, the best "Restaurants" in the area were the two grocery stores within 5 min walk of the hotel. They have everything you need.

Although I would be tempted to try other sister hotels in Paris, I would choose Hotel Palm again due to the location, staff and walking distance to the Gard du Nord.

I recommend and would repeat.

When we were there in April 2022, they had a single dispenser on the shower wall that could be used for soap and shampoo. We brought our own shampoo in a small squish bottle. I don't believe they had any lotions or conditioner.

Hello my wife and I didn't find any issues with it really. It's about 10 minutes probably a bit longer with the kids. I'd recommend doing a quick google maps directions that's what we did (I would do it for you but trip advisor won't let put in a link). It's really the Rue De Maubeuge you get on and walk all the way down. You come out of the main exit/entrance turn right go towards Boulevard de Magenta cross Boulevard de Magenta and go on to Rue De Maubeuge the hotel is on this road just a good way down. We felt like we were there in no time.

Right across the road from the hotel there is a hop on hop off bus that takes you to the centre. There are other buses that go right through Paris to the Eiffel tower. A short walk from the hotel there is a metro station and you can buy you three day pass at these or other stations. The hotel reception are very helpful and will give yo u directions. We discovered that Monmartre is also only a short walk away to the north. I hope you will find the hotel a convenient place to stay
