Front desk is polite and helpful.
Hotel lacks the basics though. For a 150 euro per night the least they can do is put a bottle of water in the room instead of saying that it is not provided for the standard room. Its just the basics really.

Our family of four made a short excursion from London to Paris on Eurostar. However, instead of staying in the Gare du Nord area, this hotel was nearer to the Gare de L'est which was more convenient for our trip to Versailles. I will also admit that our decision was also partly influenced by my membership in the hotel's loyalty programme. Arriving at the hotel via the Metro (reviewed elsewhere), check-in was an easy and friendly experience. We were assigned two rooms that were next to each other, and which had a nice view of the train station. There was not a lot of space in each room, a feature common to many hotel rooms in the city, but they were clean, comfortable, and more than adequate. We did not eat at the hotel as there was no restaurant on-site but eating options were fairly easy to find just walking around the area. The entrance to the Metro station was located just outside the hotel which meant we were not exposed much to the rain (which occurred a few times in the evenings).

Great location, easy to find, the pharmacy around the corner did covid test and received the results in 30 min. There was only 1 thing that needed changing, There was no soap bar, only the liquid soap which was suppose to be used for both hair and body. No conditioner. The staff were very nice and helpful.

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel, mostly because we could not find any other hotels that we usually stayed while in Paris as they were all booked, so this hotel was a compromise. First, it is located Gare de l'Est (train station), not a great neighborhood but not terrible either, simply need to watch a little at night. The hotel has some renovation so the rooms were ok and well equipped (at least our room as all rooms are not the same) , lobby was simple and i did not see a restaurant but they have breakfast room on first floor. But staff was not great, they forgot to call us for our wake up call the day we were flying back to US (they recognized this but did not apologize) , our keys needed to get reprogram every day and sometimes twice a day, cleaning staff forget dirty towel almost every day in the room, not very polite staff in general,....... Price were high for an holiday Inn ($250/night).I will not stay there again if I can avoid it, I understand why this hotel has a customer ranking below 8 as it is not a friendly hotel and location is poor. Best to stay somewhere else in Paris within this price range.

The hotel is new and clean with an attractive lobby and bar which makes a great first impression.
Unfortunately we had to stand for 40 minutes to check-in because one of the two front desk agents was dealing with one customer all this time for one future reservation, the second agent was stuck for 15 minutes with another customer while the line to check in was getting longer and longer. The worst part was that there was a third person in the office in back who was glancing out at times and seeking refuge behind his wall to not help.
The room itself was small but very clean and a decent size bathroom. It was in the back of the building so very quiet.
The main positive was breakfast which was a copious buffet in a large room.
With a low rate of 100 Euros, this would have been a four star review, but the check-in experience was really horrible.

Pretty pleased with my stay at the Holiday Inn. The hotel is directly outside the Gare De L'Est Metro station which makes it really easy to get around. The staff were really friendly and kept my case for me on my final day. The room itself was pretty good but I don't think it had been vacuumed properly as I did notice some loose "bits" on the floor and there was also a stain on the carpet near the tea and coffee table. The paint work around the windows was a bit "tired" and could do with a refresh. There was also a large hole in my sheets, I left a note for the housekeeping staff but it was ignored. The breakfast was great and there was lots of choice. I would happily stay again if the price was right

I arrived quite late after an evening train ride from London via Eurostar. My room 106 was incredibly spacious but needed some small work like a lick of paint in some areas but very big space compared to an average Paris hotel room. Unfortunately, my only negative of the trip was a bunch of zoo animals being placed in the next room and disturbing my sleep at nearly 2am in the morning. This was not okay as I was up at 5am for my transport back to London. I let the staff know but not sure if anything was done. Apart from that little hiccup, the trip went well and the location is perfect if you wish to be close to the main transport hubs.

I can't even begin to express how stressful my stay here was. I was here for business, tried to get to bed around 10pm but couldn't get the skylight to close - the remote control wasn't working. I called down to reception, someone said they were coming up but 30 mins later I still hadn't heard anything so I called to chase. The man had clearly forgotten so came up straightaway. I am not exaggerating when I say he spent a full 25 minutes fiddling with the remote control which clearly was not working. He had absolutely NO idea what on earth he was doing. Eventually I asked him if I could please be moved to another room because the skylight was obviously not going to close. he was very hesitant and said he had to go back down to reception to check.

Again, I had to call down to check because no one had got back to me about this for nearly half an hour. The man I spoke to said his colleague was dealing with it and would get back to me. Another 20 minutes passed, nothing. It was almost midnight by this point. I finally received a call back and the man said I had to come down to reception to collect the key to my new room because they were too busy. I came downstairs in my pyjamas to find him sat there eating a yoghurt, no guests in sight. So busy.

The rooms are also very strange, small with odd and uncomfortable furniture. And the noise levels are unreal.

There are so many places to stay in Paris, please do not choose here!!

Returned to this property during a short visit to Paris based on previous experience and knowledge of the area and what to expect; however, it seems since the last visit (several years prior) there's been no improvements and the property is desperately in need of a refresh to the rooms.
Of course the square footage is not something that be altered, but a touch of cleaning and painting would go a long way!

Despite being a Platinum member of IHG One Rewards, this wasn't given any consideration short of a hollow 'thank you' at check in due solely to the fact I booked through a third party website and not direct with IHG. Apparently, if you save a few $ by booking somewhere else, all of your previous loyalty to the brand is ignored and you're treated like a pariah...suffice it to say this is a pretty poor approach to customer service to say the least!

As mentioned, the hotel is in desperate need of a refresh (what were they doing during the global pandemic I wonder?) and for the advertised nightly rate I would expect a much better experience than that of a barely 2 star hotel in a gritty part of town. Suffice it to say, the next trip to Paris won't involve a stay at this property.

I booked for 2 nights and lucky I did not stay further .. the hotel has a superb location few minutes from the train station and few steps from the underground but the surrounded area is pretty weird with many homeless and strangers are standing at the step of the hotel door ! Sometimes I didn’t feel safe.
The hotel itself need plenty of improvement and massive renovations .. it simply very old and hardly gets 3 stars.
Room was specious compared to other hotels in Paris but was the carpet was smelling and bathroom is old, decoration is ugly and Furntiure looks like plastic! Neither windows nor walls are sound proof thus you hear well next door and if you are on the 1st or 2nd floor you get the whole street noise ! Breakfast is just okay, yet when it gets crowded you find no place to sit, however, the staff there are very helpful.
Ladies at the front desk are under pressure and they hardly smile at your face, they just do the job and they have no time for questions .. you have to find your own way.
I don’t think I would book it again if in Paris !
