Detailed Reviews
From my first morning in Paris. this adorable little hotel exceeded my expectations. Though my arrival was several hours before check in, Rose at the front desk was able to expedite my room prep and kindly offered croissants and coffee during a brief wait.
Throughout my week long and first- ever trip to Paris, I looked forward to returning to my quiet room at ZE. Yes the rooms are a bit small but this is on par for Parisian hotels. The location is excellent, close to several subway stations, and shops and restaurants abound in the lovely neighborhood of Montmartre. It’s also just footsteps away from the Basilica of Montmartre and Moulin Rouge.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Staff were professional and helpful. Great advice on what to see in Paris.
Room and bathroom were clean, modern. Breakfast pastry and coffee were a great start to the day.
Location is moderate walk from Gara du Norde and an easy walk from several metro station.
The neighborhood has options for cafe and patisserie so keep notes as you walk from the train station.

+1
A wonderful time spent in this lovely individual hotel. Just returned from a 4 night break with family. Great location to Sacre Coeur and Monmatre. Easy base to central Paris via the Metro or for those who don’t mind stretching your legs, it is a nice walk.
We were welcomed by the owner and he kindly provided a map and showed us the best places to go. Recommended Le Jardain du Palais Royal, this was a real gem to visit. A quiet sanctuary obviously loved by Parisains to meet and play as a family.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed for three nights over Christmas. It's a great place, though we did get it at a very discounted rate and don't think we would have wanted to pay the full price. The staff were friendly and everything went smoothly apart from receiving a shock from the built-in hairdryer in the bathroom. I went to place it back on and part of the plastic fell off to reveal live wiring underneath, there was a bright light and a very sharp pain in my finger. The staff member at the time was apologetic, offering to move us to another room (which we didn't take up since we were leaving the next day). We were really surprised though that this incident wasn't mentioned again and the hotel offered us no serious apology.

Beware of misleading practices.
The hotel advertises "free cancellation" until the day before check-in for an extra fee. It also offers the option to pay at the hotel instead of in advance.
After booking, management will email you and say that no, free cancellation is only until 21 days before checkin, and that you must pay immediately to confirm your reservation. They are discourteous and a bit shady, so take that into account.
Such policies are fine if disclosed, but don't trick and mislead your customers — be upfront and honest.

Stayed there 2 nights in September. Booked late and looked like a reasonable option on Expedia for short notice. Overall a good quality 2-3 start hotel. Location is pretty good in the 9th but definitely plan to walk a bit. Closest metro stop is Cadet on the 7th line which is about a 5 min walk down a hill. You can walk easily though to the Opera area, about a 2 mile walk. Area is safe and right off rue de Lafayette.
Rooms are a good size for europe. Two single beds side by side. Remote to TV was broken. Very good air conditioning system. I had a room overlooking the street, pretty quiet. I was on the 4th floor and there was only a one person lift...never had to wait long though. Rooms were overall clean. Not as eclectic as the photos suggest, pretty standard room designs. Bathrooms were small but clean. Staff consisted of one person per shift. Each was helpful and nice.
Overall, a good reasonably priced option.

The Hotel brochure says that..."you will be welcomed like friends to this charming property which is cosy and stylish"...Although this accommodation was very welcoming during normal daytime hours and the staff were attentive, kind and welcoming; at night it was a different experience entirely. We stayed here for 3 nights over Valentines weekend.
On Valentine's eve and the day after (my Birthday) - the reason for our weekend in Gay Paree; we experienced blatant homophobia when returning from sightseeing on both evenings. We were faced with many questions as to why we were not asking for keys for two separate rooms, the Concierge refused to give us our door key until we had satisfied his many questions regarding our identity and our reason for staying in Paris. We were made to feel like second class citizens. On the second evening the Concierge made it clear he was delighted that we would be checking out the next day, again being clearly unhappy about giving the room key to two men sharing the same double room. It was all really awkward and rather nasty. We did not feel welcome or safe staying here and in fact skipped breakfast on 2 mornings opting for one of the many local establishments in the vicinity of the hotel instead. This experience rather tarnished our stay in this accommodation however I have fairly scored it out of 5 for our overall experience taking into account the comfortable bed, the overall cleanliness and the location. We are experienced travellers and know that this blip was down to the attitude of one single staff member.

I can't fault this hotel at all. I definitely will stay here again when I am next in town.
Hotel - good position.Quite road, beautiful decor both inside and out. Thoughtfully decorated. Position about 10 mins from Gare du Nord, 5 mins to the nearest metro - cadet/Poissonere. That is the pink line which goes straight to La fayette (city centre) and also de Louvre thus no need to change. Free safe and secure baggage storage after you check out. Sacre coure is only 10 mins walk from the hotel.
Room - what can I say? Quiet, romantic, beautiful decor, LCD tv with option for English language if you can work out the system (we did!), decent enough toiletries but I have always preferred my own. Bathrrom + shower so that is handy. There's hairdryer. The closet is small but enough for the two of us (we stayed for 4 nights). Lift is very small but that is no suprise from Paris old building. We loved it. And fantastic mattress - so so comfortable! And it was winter - room was not too hot and perfect warmth.
Breakfast - lasts us till 2 pm and we have around 9 am. Croissonts, crepes, yoghurt, option for hot chocolate, tea, fresh coffee - beautifully presented.
Staff - marvellous! Isabelle is lovely, always smiling, helpful and definitely been very good when I contacted her via email. We had no trouble at all and would like to say thank you to their attentive service!
I don't think there's much of a downside to this place - nearby there's lots of eatery places, pharmacy, boulangere etc. It is NOT the centre of Paris but with the metro you are only 10 mins ride away from metro. We walked from hotel to the Seine and that took us about 35 to 50 mins or so.
Overall highly recommended!
Oh the wi-fi is crap but who cares.. I was in Paris.. and I rather spend time looking round then fumbling about on the wi-fi telling half the world how crap the connection is .

We stayed over Valentines weekend and found this hotel an ideal location to visit the many attractions of Paris. Easy 10 minute walk from Gare de Nord, 20 mins to Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge and 5 mins walks to tube stations that take you directly to the Arc de Triumph and Louvre.
The decor was amazing and completely different to a standard hotel - definitely not your magnolia walls. If I had a wallpaper steamer in my bag I may have been tempted to steam it off and take it home with me!. Breakfast was tasty and again their originality shone through (hot chocolate was delivered to me in two parts, the milk in a small hot milk glass and the cocoa in a test tube)
The amenities were a tad disappointing with respects to Wi-Fi and Room Service. Wi-Fi did not reach the rooms and if you are someone like myself, that seems to break out in an anxiety attack if you cannot check emails or read the news online, it is a must for anywhere you stay. Room Service, despite the menu in the room is not actually room service. You are required to phone an external restaurant who will deliver it to the hotel for you. However there are a lot of eating establishments nearby to more than make up the lack of a genuine room service.
The staff were wonderful and very attentive with the exception of one. This member of staff (night manager for the 2 last night's of our stay) was quite rude and aggressive making it quite clear he was not happy that 2 men were sharing a room (yes we are gay - get over it). This lead to questions regarding our length of stay, questioning my partner why he was not getting a separate set of keys. This was a very stark contrast to the other staff whom we encountered who were all very attentive and friendly.
Regardless of this, the stay was amazing and well worth the money and I would stay here again (hopefully this time I'd get one of the interestingly decorated rooms that I saw on their website!).
