Just back home from the most fantastic stay at the Hotel Abbatial. I really cant recommend this hotel highly enough. Before we even arrived the customer service was amazing. I sent a message asking if I could have a bottle of wine and a cake in the room on arrival, the trip was a surprise for my Husbands 40th Birthday. I also had some standard questions about the room facilities (if there was a hairdryer/Iron available, which there was) Veronique very quickly replied to me advising that this would be arranged. When we arrived at the hotel it was Veronique at reception who was very friendly and professional. I had booked a superior room with a balcony, when we entered the room we were very pleased, the balcony had a table and chairs overlooking the Bvd St Germain. Awaiting us was a lovely bottle of sparkling wine in a wine cooler and two beautiful tartlets from a local patisserie, what a lovely welcome. The room was a good size and the bathroom also with a bath with a shower over it. The room is nicely decorated. There was a mini bar which had a variety of water/orange juice/beer and Coke. It was also big enough to fit in your own bottle of wine should you wish to purchase at the local supermarket (which we did and enjoyed sitting on our balcony of an evening) The area which the hotel is in is the best in Paris in my opinion. You are spoiled for choice with local boulangeries, café’s restaurants and shops. I would also highly recommend taking a 10min walk to le Jardin du Luxembourg which is stunning. The hotel ask you to leave your key with them when you go out which was actually very handy, never having to worry about where it is when you are out and about. Whenever we gave our room card over the staff were very friendly, and even put up with our terrible GCSE level French as we tried our best (its been a while since school) we wanted to show willing but didn’t need to as the reception staff were all as good at English as we are! Our rooms were cleaned daily and always smelt amazing whenever we came back. Although it was very hot whilst we were there (up to 36degrees Celsius) the room was always comfortable with air con. When it was sadly time for us to check out the hotel kindly let us store our bags whilst we waited for the time to leave for the airport. To summarise we had the best stay, and will always choose this hotel from now on when we visit Paris. This is the best example of a family run hotel that I have ever encountered, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much Veronique and the team for a memorable stay.

The hotel entrance is very nice and kept really clean but the lift is tiny.

The rooms was clean and well presented but also again very small and walls are really thin so can hear people in other rooms. The bathroom was good and the shower really powerful.

It is in a great location and close to the metro stations there is the road side of the hotel but once doors are shut you don’t really hear the road noise.

The hotel is very close (5 minutes walk) to the Notre Dame and many restaurants. It was renovated very recently so everything looks like new. The rooms are very clean. We had a room with street view but we were not bothered by the noise, because the rooms were well insulated.
The breakfast is very extensive and tasted delicious!
Next time we are in Paris I would definitely choose this hotel again!

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights recently and was pleased with my choice, as I got a very good deal by booking directly with the hotel and ahead of time.

The room was small but had all that one needed - including tea/coffee making facilities, a mini bar and safe.

I specifically asked for a quiet room which just meant that I had a room on the side street. There was no balcony but there were 2 large windows with iron railings and a little step, so that one could sit by them. They let in a lot of light and so it was perfect for me.

I found the bed and pillows very comfortable and had no problems sleeping due to bringing ear plugs and an eye mask - there was noise from the road but I was aware of this when I booked this location.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and when I was bitten by mosquitos over night (I really didn’t think they were an issue in Paris), they sprayed my room on 2 consecutive days which solved that problem.

If simple is what you require, then I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to stay.

A nice hotel located in a very good location. It is very close to Notre Dame (10 mins walk) and right next to a Metro and RER station. The RER station takes you straight to the airport. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants near the hotel. The famous cafe de flore is within walking distance. The room itself was cosy even though small. Even though the room was small, we never felt congested or trapped in a box. The air conditioner wasn't working an sometimes it got very so we had to open the balcony doors now and then. The balcony was decent sized for Paris but we couldn't use it due to rain. The elevator is super tiny and will fit one person and a big suitcase in one go.

The hotel staff were friendly and available at all times. We were able to use the luggage room after check out as well. I would definitely stay there for the ideal location. Only let down was the bed, it was comfortable but we booked a double bed but ended up getting two single beds put together which was a bit uncomfortable in the middle.

My partner had booked us for a trip. Due to covid the hotel had decided to close, which we were happy to accept, however they refused a refund and said the booking wasn’t cancelled even though they were closed. Nightmare customer service, ignored emails.

The hotel is nicely placed in the 5th. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is a bit expensive and I would have gone and eaten something outside if I had know beforehand. I had a room with balcony but a typical balcony with just space to stand.

We stayed at Hotel Abbatial with another couple prior to and following a trip to Sicily. This was our third time staying here and we were very happy with the accommodations. Our first nights were in a corner room that was slightly larger and very comfortable. On return we had a smaller room that was equally comfortable. When in Paris we spend little time in our room. The hotel staff is very welcoming and helpful with recommendations for restaurants, taxis to airports and directions. The breakfast room is staffed by a very friendly and attentive staffer. The breakfast selection was great. The hotel is minutes from Notre Dame as well as metro stations. Hotel Abbatial is definitely our first choice in terms of location and value in Paris.

Brilliant hotel. A few minutes walk from notre dame and walking distance to all major sites. Rooms comfortable. Beds lovely.
Latin quarter is good and the hotel is right next to a fabulous restaurant.
Staff were very helpful.
We were walkers and enjoyed this but batobus is next to notre dame to take you to main sites at around 20 euros for 24 hr ticket

We are enjoying a lovely stay at this charming hotel near Notre Dame de Paris.
Stall are helpful and the breakfast is good, well assisted by Veronique. We give her 10/10!
The hotel is beautifully situated in the Latin Quarter with an amazing range of cafes, restaurants and artisan food shops.
