The Hilton Paris Opera garners praise for its attentive service and immaculate cleanliness, with numerous guests highlighting the well-maintained rooms and spotless bathrooms. Its central location near Gare Saint-Lazare is appreciated for convenience, although it comes with the caveat of potential noise.
While the elegant decor and traditional charm add to the hotel's atmosphere, opinions on value and room quality vary; some travelers report the hotel as not providing good value and criticize the amenities, while others enjoy the executive lounge and breakfast offerings.

This was our 6th time here but the 1st in over 5 years. It got off to a great start as the Roissy bus stopped just west of the train station and opened its doors so we got off and didn't have to walk the km/.6 mile distance from the normal Opera stop! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Aurélia at the front desk. She was very welcoming and went above and beyond. Unlike previous stays when we arrived before 3 p.m. (we arrived between 1 and 2), a room was ready without a wait! I told her about our miserable experience in 2019 when the check-in guy promised everything and delivered on nothing. We were assigned Room 347 which was on the backside and faced the Gare St. Lazare. The windows worked well, and it was quieter than expected. She also gave us a coupon so that each of us could have a glass of champagne in the main bar. We had booked the best room allowed with points and were upgraded due to our Diamond status to an Executive room. I wasn't impressed with the small room and wonder what made it an "Executive" room. The room was smallish and had a standard bathroom with just a shower. Everything was clean, there was some shelving in the closet with the safe, the bed wasn't really a King? The Executive Lounge was better this time with decent food. The weather was cloudy and chilly so we did save money and ate enough each evening to just stay in. We did enjoy a decent breakfast, although we had more choices at other hotels during this trip, and ate out for lunch so we could do with just the evening lounge offerings. I was able to have omelets at breakfast and ordered at the hostess stand when we checked in for breakfast. I just found the hot side items and pastries to be minimal for a Hilton of this status. In the lounge, there was only one choice of each red and white wine plus some beer but nothing harder. Lounge stay did restock the food and wine, when necessary, often and were friendly when present. Overall, the stay was much better than our last one in 2019, but there was still not the level of an Intercontinental, especially the breakfast and lounge. We gave this place another chance because our next stop was Le Havre for a cruise, and the train to Le Havre leaves from Gare St. Lazare so the location was ideal. Since we have so many HH points, we may stay there again depending on the pricing at other places and which location is best. Thanks to Aurélia and the Roissy bus, the stay was much better than it could have been!

It is always such a pleasure to be back at this property. The location is fantastic, with multiple options for walking, shopping and restaurants. And then the staff are so amazing, I really wish I could remember all the names. A very warm welcome awaits you at the Front Office reception, who go out of their way to meet all your requirements. The staff in the Executive Lounge are always eager to please. And then of course there is the brilliant Concierge Team, who are so incredibly knowledgeable and full of suggestions and ideas that make the trip memorable. My grateful Thanks to all.

Excellent hotel. Normally Parisian (and European hotels in general) have small hotel rooms and not great showers/hot water. The Hilton Paris Opera is not like that - our room was large, had a king sized bed and a very large walk-in closet. The bathroom was high-end marble with glass walled shower, plenty of hot water and was very large even by US standards.
The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet.
As Diamond members you receive complimentary breakfast -- which was an excellent buffet style but you can also order menu items like eggs, etc.. Diamond members also have complimentary access to the executive lounge. The executive lounge is a bit small but it is clean and they have light snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks during the day and beer/wine and appetizers in the evenings.
The location of the hotel is actually much better than I expected. It's right next to the train station so you have access to a number of metro lines as well as surface line trains -- even the trains that run back and forth to Normandy. So if you leave early in the morning you can do one of the 4-6 hour Normandy tours and still make it back to the hotel around 10pm that same day.
The Arch de Triumph and Champs Elysees are within about a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
We're very happy we chose this hotel for our week in Paris in May 2024. Thank you to the hotel management and staff.

I stayed at the Hilton Paris Opera for 5 nights and 6 days from March 3rd. Even though it was off-season I got a gold card and no upgrade. Small single room, only shower. There was no bottled water provided at check-in. They told me to fill up my room with stainless steel bottles from the water servers on each floor. The 3-star hotel I stayed at last month provided free bottled water and coffee and tea every day. The only good thing was the breakfast. The food was so good that I ended up overeating in the morning. There are many nearby stations, so the location is quite good. The room amenities were bare minimum. No luxury feel. I'm sure it depends on the category, but I don't think it's worth twice the price of the 3-star hotel I stayed at last month. It may be because I was staying alone, but it felt quite expensive during the post-COVID period when the yen was weak.

Hilton there is, but the first room designated was the worst. It smelled like sewage on the first floor, the room was small, I opened the window and there was a loud noise next to the Saint Lazare station, and the vibrations and noise were terrible every time the train went by. It came with a bathtub, but I couldn't wash myself properly because the shower was in the bathtub and there was only half a partition.
The next morning, when I went to complain, he changed it to the fourth floor. It wasn't a particularly upgraded room, but it was much better with no smell of sewage, less noise. This room had only a shower, but it had a good partition and I was finally able to wash myself to my satisfaction.
Every time I stay at the Hilton, I'm initially made to suck. When I complain, they turn me into a decent room. At first I suspect that they are looking for the worst room because they are Japanese and won't complain. I don't recommend it at all to Japanese people who don't speak English or have the guts to complain. By the way, I told them in advance that I wanted a quiet room, and I'm a Hilton Gold member, but I was treated like this.
The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. There's a lot to choose from and the bread is delicious. But the menu is completely fixed, so after three nights I started getting bored.
Potato chips in the lounge are better than Japanese potato chips. If you have lounge access, please do.
The location is very convenient right next to Saint Lazare station. There is also a supermarket in the station. Drinks, snacks and snacks should be procured here. They also sell rice balls. In front of the hotel is Mack, Kentucky.
If they had let me stay in a decent room on the fourth floor from the beginning, I could have given them five stars, but on the first day I ignored their request and paid 80,000 yen to stay in a jail-like room that smelled like sewage, so I would give them one star.

I just checked out of this hotel and while the staff were quite accommodating, there were some things that detracted from a 5 star rating. Some, within the hotel’s control, others, not. Out of control- because of the location which is very close to the Gare St. Lazare (train station), every time a train came in or out, you could hear and feel it- and we were on the 3rd floor. The area is quite loud and traffic and sirens are heard throughout the night. Within their control- the temperature the hotel rooms were HOT. When I inquired about how to turn the air conditioning on, I was told they don’t do that until much later and I could open a window. That was fine for a quick minute but with the noise on the street that could be heard when the windows were shut, sleeping with the window open was not an option. I checked in online and was assigned a room so upon arrival, I was given the keys. We went to the room and unpacked and got settled for our two night stay. After about one hour, we received a call telling us we had to change rooms because they made a mistake and promised our room to someone else. What? Not wanting to create a scene and wanting to set an example for my nephew, I politely agreed to move but in reality was very disappointed with how this was handled and with no restitution. Staff on site (barring the gentlemen who incorrectly gave me the wrong room) were helpful and cordial. If back in the area, I would not return to this property. I’m a Hilton fan and typically opt for their properties but this was an expensive let down.

We were greeted as soon as our taxi arrived here, helped inside by several staff, as I have a wheelchair. We taken straight to check in, who were wonderful and even gave us a drink voucher for their lovely bar. We were upgraded to a disabled room, which we found more than spacious and a huge bathroom was lovely to use. Quiet rooms, no room noise (which is hard work for Paris) Breakfast was lovely, with a variety of styles of food available. A truly lovely experience for us.

I stayed at the Hilton Paris Opera for three nights over the New Year’s holiday (12/29–1/1), booking an executive king room. The room had a charming mix of old-world elegance and modern amenities, including updated closets, electrical outlets, and lighting. However, the bed was not very comfortable, causing minor temporary back pain for me and my family. The view was a highlight, overlooking the lively Gare Saint Lazare area.
As a Diamond member, I was unable to receive an upgrade, which was understandable given the busy holiday period. The executive lounge was comfortable, offering light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day. While the offerings were basic, the evening reception for Diamond members was nice . It included a variety of cold items, 3–6 hot dishes, Heineken beer cans, red and white wines, soft drinks, coffee/hot cocoa machine, etc. Unfortunately, the New Year’s Eve selection was lackluster, leaving many guests visibly disappointed.
The breakfast was good with decent options, but nothing extraordinary.
The location is fantastic, with easy access to trains and buses, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.
In terms of price to value, I found the rates during the New Year’s holiday (approximately €600 per night) steep and not quite justifiable. However, at a more reasonable rate—around one-third or one-half of that—I would definitely stay here again.
Lastly, all the staff I interacted with were professional, courteous, and friendly, contributing positively to the overall experience.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for a week in June. We were celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday at the French Open. The hotel staff, including the concierge, went “above and beyond.” As a Hilton Diamond Member, I have stayed at many properties worldwide. A lot of detail is given daily to this property. Our room was beautiful with heated bathroom floors and there were no maintenance nor aesthetic issues with the room. They truly do maintain this property very well, despite how old it is. The staff greets you by name. The amazing host at breakfast made my wife feel so special. The first morning at breakfast she presented her with macarons and a “birthday greeting.” She was extremely diligent in meeting our requests for breakfast. The executive lounge was well-tended to. The staff was always diligent in checking to make sure the food was well-stocked. The drinks in the beautiful bar/lobby were outstanding. During our stay, there was a VIP guest and despite the need for extreme security for the individual, we were unaffected. I highly recommend this property when visiting “the city of light.”

I liked my stay and not sure what the criticism is about except maybe they can tone down on the pricing. I am a Hilton Diamond Member and was upgraded in an Executive Room. The floor to ceiling was very high maybe 12-13 feet so this was a huge plus for me as it made the mini balcony I had feel more elegant.
The amenities is similar to that of a lower tier Hilton (the Crabtree bottles) which surprised me a little but they are advertising they are saving the environment. They should provide Qtips/makeup pads though which they didn’t. Maybe they will provide on request but it’s always an extra hassle to call it in just getting out of the shower!
The showers were 2 head option (one portable) and marble finishes which I like.
My room had a convenient espresso machine and also very high quality Damman Tea.
As a diamond member you get access to the executive lounge which has a nice happy hour of wine and cheese and some tarts. It’s a little small than other lounges I’ve been too but the point is to go out and about and see Paris … right? Breakfast is also included and is a full spread buffet with some special things you can have prepared for you.
The location is prime and lots of things to walk around. My room was on 1st floor and faced the street but I could not hear any street noise - which is great!
Entering the lobby, It’s regal and fancy, a bit annoying there is stairs to get to front doorway but I kept my suitcase outside and asked the bellhop to bring it up which he did.
I also ordered room service and it wasn’t bad. I had certain dietary restrictions and they obliged and I even think they charged me a little less bc of it.
Transpo Tip: The Ubers will not be able to pick you up or drop you off in front of hotel (only reserved for taxis) unless your driver is willing to wing it. So they usually come other side of street. it is a bit more hassle if u take an Uber with your suitcases to place and Uber driver takes you to the cross walk instead.

My stay included a buffet breakfast served in the hotel each day. When I booked the hotel, there was option to include breakfast at a reasonable cost. By doing so, it saved time, which we used for site seeing in Paris. The meal was ok, nothing exceptional. Good service and very clean facility. I would recommend it.
No, Hilton does not provide a transfer from CDG. The best option is there is a direct bus from CDG to Paris Opera and hotel is 800 yards from there. If your party is 4 or more folks, you are better off taking a taxi - it may cost you 65 or 70 Euro
