Mythical and imposing, languid and frenetic, Pigalle is a neon light in the Parisian night. The neighbourhood has always attracted bad boys and artists, musicians and adventurers. With neither a monument nor a meeting point, it lacked a spot that really reflected its tawdry values, brazen spirit and musical energy. And so, Le Pigalle was born. An authentic neighbourhood hotel, whose history was shaped by the cultural mix that swirls on the southern slopes of Montmartre. The team is local and will take you to meet some of the places, people and stories that bring Pigalle alive and make Paris so vibrant. The croissants are provided by the nearby bakery, the books selected by the local bookstore and the music chosen by a neighbourhood DJ who also is an album collector and happens to be born in Pigalle. Local artists, shopkeepers and restaurant owners, they all have something to say about their neighbourhood. You can meet up for a drink, a night (out), or a coffee. This is Pigalle!

Hotel's Favourite
So there were a few little minor flaws with our stay but the good stuff was so good I had to give it 5*.
It’s in Pigalle which is lively so perfect if that’s what you’re looking for.
The first night we arrived which was a Sunday there was a club/bar open opposite all night.
People in the street smoking. Lots of talking. Not the music but the thud of the base.
Strangely that was the only night. Other nights were actually very quiet.
My room 14 had a bright light outside which again affected my sleep.
Everything else was amazing. Quirky hotel giving a nod to the old red light days. Great fun.
Really cool vibe. Really great staff.
Rooms were spacious, comfortable and again really quirky in a good way.
Great shower and products.
I would say incredibly good value for money.
A really nice stay.
100% return.

Clean room. Helpfull personal. Great price for a lovely room.
They where very unclear that you can only have two breakfast items and one beverage of choice (included in the price). It is easily misunderstood and you might order very expensive food if you think it is included. Overpriced food and drinks.

I loved Le Pigalle. I was looking for accommodation in Paris that offered you that cool Parisian-apartment feel and Le Pigalle provided just that. My friend and I selected a room with a street view because we wanted to enjoy looking out onto the streets of Paris, but we were worried the nightlife would keep us awake, but this wasn't a problem at all. The rooms are so beautifully decorated with artwork and books and we even had a record player in our room. And to top it all off, they had amazing toiletries from Le Labo. A special shout to Katherine Fry in guest relations who was so friendly, and emailed us a list of her recommendations for local haunts, and I had also booked an extra night on my own in the single room, but she kindly upgraded me to a Pigalle 17. Other bonuses to this place is it is a short walk from the fun club Le Rouge, and the delicious restaurant Pink Mamma (recommended by Katherine), and cafés full of locals, and the amazing artisan bakery (Le Pétrin de Pigalle). I could go on gushing about Le Pigalle. It was everything my friend and I were looking for in a fun, safe, beautiful and quintessentially Parisian hotel. I will definitely be returning.

Quirky hotel - room looked good in pictures but was small and cluttered by design. Could hardly walked around the bed. The upkeep could be improved - there was mould/water damaged outside of the shower frame. Ask for a room on the highest floor for the best sleep as the ground floor cafe turns into DJ/club on the weekend until 2am. Could not hear the music from the 6th floor but could definitely feel the bass. Staff was nice and welcoming. Good location for a party weekend.

Dear Robert, Thank you for sharing your experience at Le Pigalle :) We're delighted to hear that our staff made a positive impression and that you appreciated the vibrant location of our establishment. We acknowledge your observations regarding the room size and décor. Our rooms are indeed designed with a unique and eclectic style, reflecting the spirit of the surrounding neighborhood, and we understand that this may not be to everyone's taste. We also take note of your comment about the upkeep. Please rest assured that we are attentive to the maintenance of our rooms and will look into the matter you've mentioned. We hope to host you again soon! Best, Xavier Hue, General Manager

Super chic hotel in the heart of Paris’s trendiest district. Standard rooms are on the small side but the bigger rooms are worth the upgrade. We stayed in room 52. The room has a balcony, record decks, open plan shower and uniquely styled. Staff are as cool (and friendly) as the hotel is. Parisian perfection....

The property is lacking in most estheticly pleasant elements. I can't believe it is associated with Marriott. Furniture in room was damaged plus sitting area lounge tattered. Stairway lounge and lower level lip lounge were in poor taste and excessive wear. Most importantly security is a risk, unauthorized and unannounced room access by maintenance services. No notice just a surprise person in your room when you are out and find them when you return. That's quite unacceptable! Staff, if you can identify them are so relaxed it's hard to determine who is a responsible person that represents the property. Definitely a disappointment to my party and I would think to Marriott brand.
Food options are very limited. The French toast was the only thing I found pleasing as a breakfast option.

Do not book here! I am frequent business traveler and this one was of my worst hotel experiences ever and it is definitely not a 4-star hotel, nor should it be in the Marriott portfolio of hotels (a Member of Design Hotels™). I arrived on July 13 in the lobby. As other reviews in this thread have pointed out, there is no formal or specific check-in area. Eventually, I found a woman with a laptop at a large table in the small lobby that would take my information. She informed me that, later in the evening, around 6 pm, a large wedding party would take over the lobby of the hotel for a party. [At no time prior to my arrival was I informed about this.] The reception person further informed me that I would get a very small room because an array of wedding party members had just arrived a few minutes before me to check-in. I am accustomed to small rooms in European boutique hotels, but I could not even walk is this miniature room--it was incredibly small. [Note, I am a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member that was supposed to be given a complimentary upgrade, if possible, and instead, I was given the worst possible room in the hotel.] Then, while later sitting in the hotel lobby, which is quite small, I was told at approximately 5:30 pm that I would have to move from my table because they were rearranging the furniture to accommodate the wedding party and DJ. I could not even sit comfortably in the lobby of the hotel that I had booked, so I left for dinner. Upon coming home from dinner on July 13, I was barely able to access the elevator to my room because the wedding party had turned the lobby into a nightclub that felt like it was 100 degrees inside. There was wall-to-wall people dancing and all I wanted to do was rest in my room after a long day of travel. But, I could not because there were members of the wedding party running through the halls of the hotel in a drunken manner. There was no security. The next day, to make matters worse, someone entered my room and rearranged things, even though I had put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door handle. There were items missing from my room. For my 2 night stay, I was charged 696.26 € ($755.49 $ USD). I regret not discovering all of the other negative reviews of this hotel before I booked here. Please learn from my mistake and those of others and do not book at this hotel. It is a rip-off and I feel raped by this experience.

Responded 27 Jul 2024
Dear Jason, We apologise for your stay not meeting all your expectations. We understand that the uniqueness of our establishment, with its vibrant atmosphere, might not align with every traveller's needs, especially those seeking more conventional accommodations. Nonetheless, your comfort is of the utmost importance to us and we regret to hear that the room size did not meet your expectations. Our rooms are indeed reflective of the historic and intimate nature of the Pigalle district, and we aim to provide an authentic Parisian experience. During your stay, in recognition of your VIP status, we carefully allocated your room ensuring that you were accommodated on a higher floor and away from the elevator, to provide a quieter environment. Due to the hotel being fully booked, we were unable to offer an upgrade but we provided a welcome drink as a gesture of our appreciation. Furthermore, we regret any misunderstanding regarding the wedding celebration that took place during your stay. Our aim is to celebrate life’s special moments with our guests, yet we understand that the energy of such events can be overwhelming for some. We assure you that security measures are in place, including surveillance during events, to ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests. Concerning your experience with your personal belongings, we take such matters very seriously and will certainly be investigating this matter. Furthermore, we understand that the overall value of your stay did not reflect your expectations. We strive to provide a service that is worth the charm and character that Le Pigalle is known for and it is disheartening to learn that this was not your impression. We take all comments seriously as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and guest satisfaction. Best wishes, Xavier Hue, General Manager

There are many lovely aspects of this hotel, it feels very Parisian and personal, definitely a distinctive experience. I really like the small touches, the lovely Le Labo amenities. Would have liked to have a kettle to make tea or coffee, also the room was a little noisy. Could use a little spruce up / update to keep in line with other newer hotels. But still a lot to like.

Very quirky hotel, loved everything about the room, the art, the amenities, the furniture, the tablet and the music speakers!
The staff were very friendly and the check in process was very welcoming. The breakfast was nice and the coffee was very good.
Would def stay there again.
The tiles around the bathtub need some attention due to some mold around the skirting board, but that is the only thing that needs sorting

Stayed here for 4 nights and the hotel is okay but there are some issues. I'll start with the positives:
1. Location is convenient.
2. The hotel has 24 hour room service and though it's a small menu, the food is good.
Now for the not so good:
1. My room had a very noticeable musty smell which lingered throughout my stay. It smelt like old boots.
2. If you want to order room service or contact the reception staff you need to use a tablet in your room. The problem is that my room service orders did not go through to them even though it said the order was placed. I was sitting patiently for my order to arrive for it never to appear and I had to go down to reception twice a few times to tell them because I can't call them (everything is through the tablet which wasn't working)

Yes, they definitely will. The hotel is excellent.
It's about 40 minutes by train into central Paris. Then about 20 minutes on the metro. You have to change lines. A taxi is easy and not to expensive.
