I live in France so am not really well placed to give you directions from London. However, once in Paris, get the metro to Place d'Italie which is the closest stop to La Manufacture. When you come out on the 'Place' locate the Mairie for the arrondissement. It's possible that you'll come out of the exit close to the 'Italie 2' shopping centre - the mairie is directly opposite across the place. Once in front of the mairie, take the road on the right, Boulevard de l'Hôpital, then the first street on your left is rue de Philippe Champagne and you'll find the hotel about half-way along on the right. I hope that's clear enough. The Place d'Italie is an ideal location for getting around Paris and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants to suit most tastes. I would personally recommend an Italian restaurant called, if I remember correctly, La Dolce Romana; it's my usual go-to eaterie when in the area and a short distance from the hotel (turn right leaving the hotel, then right again onto Avenue des Gobelins and you'll find it a little way down on the left hand side - Bon appetit et Bon Séjour !)
