Detailed Reviews
Arrived late one evening by train. Check-in was swift, although no welcome drink was offered. The room was reasonably-sized, but all noise from the corridor could be heard easily. Breakfast was reasonable, but the room in which it was served was small and gloomy. The hotel is worth considering if the price is right. All staff were helpful.

We had a 4 night stay at this Ibis during a visit to Bordeaux. P
Pros: The staff are friendly and were helpful with any questions we had. The room was good, being a good size, with a nice bathroom and strong shower. The air conditioning worked well.
Cons: We had no hand towel for the duration of the stay to dry hands in bathroom. Location surrounding hotel was sketchy, we didn’t feel safe at night in the surrounding areas. Please get the tram if staying at hotel rather than walk back from Bordeaux centre, we were robbed in the ST Michel area during our first night when walking back to the hotel.

Dear Kilmarnock99, thank you for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you found our staff friendly and helpful, and that you enjoyed the room amenities during your 4-night stay. We are sincerely sorry to hear about your experience in the St Michel area which is not near our hotel. The security there is not in our hands, we are doing our best in our hotel to welcome our guest as best as we can. Anyway, your feedback is valuable to us, and we will address the issues you have raised internally. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with an improved experience. Hotel du Faisan is just infront of the st Jean railway station. If you come to the airport you have to take the direct bus and get out on the last station. You will see the hotel. The rooms are very clean and the staff are very helpfull. I want to thank Loirrane and Akli. Every time they Show the right way to go where ever we want. The breakfast is sufficent and not expensive. If you drink 2 coffee outside you have o pay much more then the breakfast. As I say the hotel is in a very special place and the tram or the train can take you where ever you want. We went to st emillion and arcachon by train it was very comfortable.
The rooms and WC was very clean the heater was working very nice and I think if you want to have budget holiday in Bordeaux you can choose this nice hotel.
I want to thank again specially Loirrane because she gave me all the knowledge that I asked.
Very soon we will come to this hotel again.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for you very nice review. We hope you spend a nice anniversary in Bordeaux with your wife. If you want to visit us again, we will be very glad to welcome you again and to help you find other nice places to visit. We are located in front of the train station and there a special bus can drive you from the airport to the train station in only 30 minutes ( about 7.00€). The city center is reachable by tram (5 minutes) or by foot (15 minutes) and offers interesting visits so we are sure you still have to discover some interesting new places We hope to see you soon Best regards Hotel du Faisan staff

Location is perfect for train station and bus to/from airport.
Just steps by.
Hotel room is tiny (ok it's an old building, 3 years ago it was still an indipendent hotel). Carpeting (nowadays...), room heating system is noisy, much noise coming from outside as well (from a major heating system...? - due to strike, no noise from trains), tv (we found only 2 english speaking channels - for news) set aside not in front of the bed, very small place for luggage.
These are minor cons.
Both days, the room had to be tidied up, they didn't. Really the first day they didn't even enter the room; the second they didn't clean the shower. We climbed the dune du Pilat. To avoid scattering the sand (we had on our clothes) all over the carpet (not easy to vacuum) we shook them in the shower. And they didn't wipe or clean or sweep it. Not a horrible matter - it wasn't much, but then we had many doubts about the way they sanitize the bathroom...what a dismay.
Ibis are getting worse along the years but they used to provide standard service and mostly good locations. That's why we usually choose this hotel brand when we just need a place to sleep over. But not cleaning the rooms isn't acceptable. Or you declare it in advance. You know what you'll find: a clean room at arrival and it won't be cleaned afterwards, till departure. With prior notice, you know what to expect and you'll decide up to it. Rates should be revised then. Especially for longer stays.
No vending machine. Early departure (out of breakfast time) means you won't have a warm beverage or a snack.
A very polite reception employee provided a cup of instant coffee, thanks a lot.
The Ibis budget, next by, seems a better option. Surely cheaper and I daresay with same service, and rooms are larger perhaps.

Response from IbisEuratlantique, Responsable relations clients at Ibis Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint-Jean Euratlantique Hotel
Responded 6 Jan 2020
Good afternoon, Thank you very much for reviewing our hotel. We take all of our guests' reviews very seriously, and really appreciate the feedback we receive, as it helps us improve the service we can provide to our customers. We are so sorry to hear that your experience was not anywhere near the standard we aim to deliver at our hotel. We have a high standard for cleanliness here, which unfortunately was not met during your stay with us. Our policy is to clean the occupied rooms thouroughly every day as standard, and we are now contacting the housekeeping company we work with to look into why this did not happen on the mornings of your reservation. This issue is not acceptable to us, and we are taking steps to make sure this does not happen again. Most Accor hotels (including ours) offer an early breakfast that you can either eat in-house or have to take away with you. We hope this is a helpful tip for your next Accor booking! We also sell cold drinks at reception here, so please feel free to ask next time. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the issues you experienced during your stay at our hotel. We hope that you will come and stay with us again next time you visit Bordeaux - we would appreciate the opportunity to give you a much better experience! Best regards, Hannah Front Desk

I booked 4 nights and just stayed 1. Here's why:
I have been on some Ibis already of this type (meaning non budget), for example in Cologne train station, and I can assure everyone reading this that this is not the Ibis you area expecting.
I've booked 4 rooms. The rooms communicate with each other, and that was the best thing.
Room nr1 smelled cigars as if there was someone smoking right there, so the lack of cleaning was surprising. The room was giant.
Room nr2 was the most normal one. Enough space and regular WC.
Room nr 3 & 4 were so small that it was hard to for 2 persons to walk. The WC's were so small that you literally had to scrub the walls with your body. The WC accessories were lacking maintenance and some things were broken. It has a glass door and privacy isn't great.
All rooms had poor windows and you can hear every single thing that's going on the busy Train + Bus + Tram station. This is were Cologne Ibis teach how to do things. Even between rooms, there is a lack of good soundproof. You'll hear your neighbours.
The surrounding isn't great. Be prepared for that.
The hotel staff is nice and it solved our problem. We got a discount and was able to checkout with ease.
It seems that Ibis got a great real estate in a great location and made a bad renovation. It deserves better.
You'll have a public parking right next to the hotel.

Dear Joao M, Thank you for sharing your opinion about our hotel although I wish your experience was better. We are sorry that the service did not live up to your expectations, and we ask you to accept our most sincere apologies. The Ibis hotels are eager to offer you the best quality of service for your stays; Therefore, your opinion is very valuable. Also, I would like to tell you that we attach great importance to the cleanliness and maintenance of our rooms. If our guest notice something abnormal, we will make every effort to fix it. As you said we have a very beautifull building and it is with its peculiarities that we had to deal with for the refurbishment. It is an old building and we have different room sizes which gives originality to our hotel and also some constraints. Thank you again for your feedback. Best regards, Alexandre Jarrier General Manager

I want to extend a big thank you to Célia for her exceptional assistance during what I initially expected to be a difficult process of booking a room for an unaccompanied 17-year-old. From the moment I reached out, Célia made the entire process quick and efficient, ensuring all necessary arrangements were in place without any hassle.
Her professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out, and it made a significant difference in our experience. It's rare to encounter such dedicated and helpful service, and I’m incredibly grateful for her support. Thanks to Célia, we had peace of mind..
The Ibis Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint-Jean Euratlantique Hotel is fortunate to have such a stellar team member, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The service alone is worth five stars!

So easy to find, directly opposite Bordeaux St Jean train station. With Ibis you know exactly what you are getting. The room is small but efficient - perfect for a 1 night stay. The air conditioning worked well as it was a really hot day. Check-in staff were helpful and friendly. Can’t fault it.

We picked this hotel not having much idea of the layout of Bordeaux. We were pleasantly surprised at the convenience of this hotel to the tram and train, the rooms were compact but what more do you want for a city break. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful and. spoke english which was great.
I have never reveiwed a hotel before but as I use reveiws myself I felt I had to share my good experience here.I would definitely go back to this hotel and to Bordeaux as it was a lovely city.

Location was great directly across and only a few steps away from train station—perfect to take day trips or travel to the main center. The staff warmly greeted you as you come and go. Tea, juice and/or water was available 24 hours in the lobby to refresh after a long hot day of touring. The room was adequate, clean, and matched the moderate price. I was surprised that we barely hear any train noise from the room despite being so close to the tracks. Transportation is inexpensive less than 5 euros for an all-day tram, bus, and ferry pass. Multilingual train staff were posted close by the ticket machines to assist with directions or purchasing tickets. Overall good hotel choice for our purposes.

Hello FrannoC,
Frankly speaking I don't know. Please ask the hotel. You can probably park anyway on the streets not that far from the hotel.
