Interesting establishment for small budgets. Cleanliness ok. But when we arrived, the receptionist told us that she did not see our reservation. She had to do several searches before finding it. Once in the room there were only 2 small pillows. We asked for 2 more but they were gone. We paid €20 more for a late check-out but were woken up twice by the cleaning lady and then an unfriendly agent. This “broke” our sleep. Fortunately, the receptionist apologized when we left, explaining to us the communication difficulties in Montempô. Other than that, it was a good stay and good value for money.

The hotel is very well located and the view is nice. The room with the kitchenette is practical, there is plenty of storage, there is a small desk available in the room, the beds are comfortable and clean. The bathroom and the shower are pleasant and the water is not very limestone. At reception the staff are pleasant and smiling.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel following a trip to see family in the countryside. The location of the hotel was fine with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
The room was clean and had everything that was required for our stay.
Why two stars? The lack of air con made our stay almost unbearable and impossible to sleep. Yes the hotel provides a fan but when it is 38 degrees outside this just ends up blowing hot air around the room.
We left the window open on our first night which resulted in 17 mosquito bites for me and no sleep for my parent, due to the heat and noise from traffic. The hotel needs to seriously consider the health and safety of its guests during the summer heat as providing a fan is not good enough.
The room was clean and had everything that was required for our stay.

The hotel did not have AC, but this is not the worst part of it. They put me in the room on the 1st floor facing the street. The room was noisy, and people standing below my window and smoke all night long. Without AC , i have to leave the windows open. I asked to change room and the manager did not want to change because they don't want to have the room clean for the next person. We booked total of 5 rooms, 4 for 1 night and 2 for 2 nights. some of my friends rooms is in the court yard and it have no window screen. She got mosquitos bites all over her body.

I booked in a hurry and didn't read the reviews saying there was no air conditioning. Only after confirmation did I receive an email informing me of this inconvenience. The first room smelled like curry, I asked for it to be changed and the very kind lady at the reception offered me another room. When I got to the room I realized that it was very hot, there was only a dusty fan that only made noise, when I opened the window an army of mosquitoes came in, there were no sheets to cover myself with, there was only the duvet which in that heat was not at all useful. It was a very unpleasant stay. I tried to lock the door from the inside but the lock didn't work. I didn't feel safe.

Montempô is located a bit outside the centre of Bordeaux but it's a nice walk at the waterside to the next tram stop. The studios are very nice and well appointed and above all clean and quiet. Highly recommended for a short stay for a couple or even a longer stay for a single guest.

Perfectly acceptable aparthotel, good transport links, tidy and had everything we needed. Room a little warm without aircon but we discovered a fan in the cupboard which helped.
Staff really friendly, you can borrow hairdryers etc. We had a billing error but before I had even asked to sort it the staff had already noticed and had made sure all was ok.
Would recommend for an affordable break in bordeaux if you are comfortable taking public transport or 40 min walk to the centre.
