Nestled in the heart of the modernist architecture of the Mériadeck district, the MARTY is a warm hotel where the emerging creative scene is revealed. A lively and singular place where art invites itself and encourages exchanges and encounters. Why MARTY? Its name sums up its two identities: the "M" of Mériadeck, its anchor point, and "arty" for the talents it invites. "Marty" is also a pop culture reference that will bring a smile to those who recognise it and reflects the joyful and light atmosphere of this unique place. The Marty has 61 sleek rooms in a cosy atmosphere. There are 5 different types of rooms to choose from, ranging from cocoons to rooms with balconies overlooking the rooftops of Bordeaux. The Marty Hotel Bordeaux is a 10-minute walk from the city centre and its museums, shops and restaurants.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed here to watch the rugby at St Dennis stadium as equidistant between that and town.
Booked a terrace and 115 was a ground floor with an outside patio in the new block. Aside from being somewhat overlooked ( has both net and blackout curtains though) it was an excellent room. Big clean, modern and with a really good sized shower and bathroom. The patio has plants, a table and chairs.
Its on the first floor from the hotel entrance but ground floor of the new block. There is a small flight of stairs next to the lift and getting up and down from the room took no longer than staying in the main hotel.
Staff are very helpful and their English is good. There is a carrefour a short walk from the hotel and a couple of decent restaurants next door (weirdly closed at the weekend). Its a 15 min walk to town in one direction and 15/20 to the stadium. The tram is 5 minutes round the corner and goes directly to town, stadium and airport for 2 euros. An excellent choice and good value.

Hotel's Favourite
I came to Bordeaux for five nights in order to Photograph Bordeaux's architecture. I chose the Marty Hotel (Tapestry Collection) because it is well situated in one of the most historic parts of the city and close to a tram line.
I arrived a week or so after the tram line A hade been expanded to the airport. I was able to get on the tram at the airport (under 2 Euros) and get off five minutes from the front door.
The hotel has been open only for a few weeks. It is new. It is beautifully decorated and very much boutique style. My bedroom is lovely. It has sufficient space, and the lighting and electrical system excellent with plenty of power outlets und USB power points. The WiFi is good. My only criticism is that the bedside tables are too small. The telephone/clock takes up all the room with little space for books, papers, glasses etc.
The breakfast is classic European buffet with a small selection of items and eggs-cooked-to-order. The quality of the food was very good indeed (far better than most hotels).
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and provided me with tourist information (like where to find street art).
I am here without my wife. However, I will bring her here for a birthday or anniversary because the hotel is excellent and Bordeaux is a magnificent city. I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone, especially couples having a break in Bordeaux.

Beautiful decor. Brand new and spotlessly clean.
A easy 10-15 minute walk to the centre so easily accessible. Outside of the hotel nearby not so pretty but should not put you off. Very close to two tram spots and the bus routes too. Great location as we like a little walk and get to pass all the lovely restaurants and bakeries along the way.
Room small but perfect for a short stay in Bordeaux. Only two bottles of water provided but call to reception and water provided quickly (and cold). Only thing is the shower is very small but can’t change that now!
Lovely reception area and staff.
Great resultants and bakeries near by so do some research! We didn’t have the breakfast here as lots of fabulous options close by.
Recommend for a stay in Bordeaux!

I’m a Hilton Diamond member and booked a “terrace” room, but they said on arrival “we’ve upgraded you” and gave me #110 which is the smallest room imaginable (with an outside platform which is of course unusable in December). It was very rainy and they claimed all their umbrellas were out with guests; I suspect they had disappeared over the autumn and not been replaced! Whilst this hotel is a short walk from Metro Line A, it’s quite off centre otherwise, with just the Mediadeck Shopping centre close by, if that’s what you want!

Dear Jon H, We would like to thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at Marty Hotel. We are sorry to hear that we don't meet your expectations during your stay and would like to apologize for that. We are a little bit surprised by explanations provided and we would like to clarify some informations. Room 110 is not the smallest room of the hotel and is a King Deluxe room with a terrace. This room is 19.6 square meters without the terrace. We are unfortunately not responsible of the weather and are sorry to hear that you were unable to use the outside part. I don't have all the informations concerning your reservation because I am not able to find the details with your Tripadvisor pseudo. We have 3 different guests staying in room 110 since the 1st of December and all of them were upgraded. Concerning the weather, unfortunately we cannot do something to improve it and we are sorry for that. However we have umbrellas for our guests. When the weather is not good, these umbrellas are loaned for free and when it's raining, people use them for their comfort. They don't disappeared over the autumn as you mentioned, only used by guests. Concerning the localisation of the hotel, our Website mentions the adress which is 153 rue Georges Bonnac. It also mentions the distance betwen the City Center and the Hotel, which is 10 minutes walking. There are plenty of activities around the hotel in less than 10 minutes walking or by taking public transport and we are sorry to see that you only found Meriadeck Shopping Mall. For your next stay do not hesitate to ask to our team more informations in order to visit the City. Maps are available at the reception, as well as touristic informations, possibility to book Wine Tours, Museums, visit monuments... The reception is open 24h/24 and our team is always happy to help you with you stay in Bordeaux. We wish you a nice day. Best regards. Coralie Marty Hotel Bordeaux, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

I was in room 110 which is supposed to be a Deluxe King with Terrace (258 sq ft) but the room felt very cramped because there was simply too much furniture in the room and of course the terrace space is included in the square footage. And also the v small closet had a vertical rod that could only accommodate 6 coat hangers. The bathroom was large but there was no space for toiletries unless you put them below the sink.
On the furniture, the 2 chairs and round table took up so much space and yet you could hardly sit in one of the chairs without hitting your head on a hanging shelf. Moving the chair would mean having no access to the bed from the side. It would be much better to remove the round table and put in a small built-in desk along the wall (next to the bed) + 1 chair instead.
The baggage rack was placed at the mid-point of the bottom of the bed (no gap to the wall) which would have meant one person would have to roll onto the bed unless you moved the baggage rack to near the room door (this narrowed the walking space).
I honestly was shocked that a room that was not small but yet felt so small for 2 people. Why such a small closet and so much useless furniture?
The lobby and restaurant were fine.
We are now on a ship cabin that is significantly smaller (140 sq ft) and yet is so much better designed!

What a fantastic find. Trendy hotel, exceptional friendly service and really nice comfy rooms. My only complaint was that I didn’t stay longer. Bar and restaurant on site, whilst I didn’t utilise these both looked lovely and relaxed. Would definitely use this hotel if back in Bordeaux. Very short walk to the main centre. Public transport is exceptional in Bordeaux and would recommend trying the electric scooters - easy to use and cheap and convieninat way of seeing this beautiful city

Good morning SteveMcD, What a pleasure to read your very nice review following your stay at Marty Hotel. As you said, the concept of the hotel is to provide a trendy and cosy atmosphere to our guests, and we are happy to see that you liked it. Moreover, the City Center of Bordeaux is easily accessible from the hotel, in only a few minutes walking. The tram A also deserves the main shopping street in 5 minutes which is very pleasant. Our City proposes a large variety of public transport and we are delighted to discover that you enjoyed them. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again for a longer stay in the future in order to show you our amazing cocktails and food menu. Wishing you a very nice day. Best regards. Not great service at all from a Hilton hotel.
During booking I requested a cot for our infant and recieved a response from the hotel to say there would be one waiting for us. That was not the case.
Whilst waiting for cot to be brought to the room we brought our luggage up to get settled in and were placed in the smallest hotel room I have ever seen and it was quite obvious there was no room for a cot, you could just about walk around the bed!
When the cot was brought up we were told it would fit between the bathroom door and the entrance to the room, which gave us no space to put our cases or get into the bathroom without moving the cot. We were told this was the room size that we had booked. Surely, it should not let you book a room this size and request a cot when there is no space? Or we should have been warned in the response from the hotel.
We were offered to move to a slighly bigger room, probably a few feet bigger, but the fridge wasn't working which we needed for baby milk. A few hours later we were moved to an accessible room which was a perfect size and we really appreciated it but unfortunately this was only availalble for one night.
When we finally got the cot put up there was just a wooden base, no matress or sheets. They were not sure if there was a matress available but we eventually got one. We got fed up asking for sheets so used some from our own bed.
There was one large bottle of water in the room for us but no glasses to share it. We used the tea/coffee mugs.
We were very thankful for the guy on reception who tried to help us as much as he could when we checked in.
The decor is lovely, nice peaceful lobby and nice breafast. The girls at reception were a great help during checkout, allowing us to leave our luggage and providing umbrellas.

Dear Cben, Thank you for taking the time to write your impressions following your stay at the Marty Hotel. We are sorry to read that we were unable to meet your expectations during your stay and apologise for this. With regard to your room, you did indeed book a Queen room, which is one of our standard rooms. You booked it on Booking.com, which clearly indicates the size of our rooms for each category. We are therefore sorry to read that you found it too small. We advise our customers booking directly with us to book larger rooms for longer stays or if they have a baby. Booking.com does not indicate this possibility. The person at reception was able to offer you a larger room at no extra cost for your first night, but this room was not available for your second night, as you were told on arrival. Our rooms are indeed all equipped with a bottle of water as well as a courtesy tray and cups. If you would like glasses, our staff at reception or at the bar will be happy to provide them. We hope to regain your trust during your next stay and wish you an excellent day. Yours faithfully Coralie Marty Hotel Bordeaux, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

On first impression tastefully decorated. The hotel is very clean, well finished and modern.
Receptionist was lovely and took time to explain the local area
Our room was the tiniest we have ever stayed in for 923 euros ( 4 nights inc tax )
You had to squeeze to get round the bed past the tv on the wall . One cupboard with 4 hangers for storage ( def not a wardrobe ) Bathroom very small but well decorated .
We asked every day for 3 days for our safe to be fixed . The receptionist came to our room after check in and said it was broken .
Tea and coffee provided though no milk . Once , when we asked for milk we were given it in a mug … not what you would expect from Hilton . We asked again and were told it couldn’t be delivered to the room and to ask again at reception in the evening .. we gave up and bought some . Very poor service . It appeared there were very few staff around apart from the receptionist .
Hotel bar not open on Sunday or Monday night … is this really 4 star service
Breakfast expensive at 20 euro per person
Lots of local cafes more reasonably priced and great service
We have been impressed by the friendly staff in cafes and wine bars of Bordeaux !
The plus side is that it’s 30 mins on tram from the airport and a 10 min stroll to historic centre of Bordeaux
Beds were clean and comfy and room quiet .
Bordeaux has superb tram system for easy access across the city and very cheap .

Dear Tania, Thank you for taking the time to send us your review of your stay at the Marty Hotel. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed our establishment, its cleanliness and decoration. Concerning the room, you have indeed booked a Queen room. This is our standard room category. These rooms are more suitable for short stays. Therefore, if you come back to our hotel, do not hesitate to choose a King Deluxe room, which will be more spacious. These rooms also have more storage space. We do not provide milk in the room, but it is available on request from our 24-hour reception team or at breakfast. We were at the Marty Hotel for nine days in April and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a quiet room (and a very comfortable bed) with terrace overlooking the garden and were entertained by the cats travelling along the garden wall. We highly recommend the breakfast for its variety and freshness. The personnel at the reception (and at breakfast) were unfailingly cheerful and helpful. A short walk from the pedestrian-friendly downtown. Nearby tram stop. The often overlooked Basilica of St. Severinus is a short walk away.
