Detailed Reviews
We chose this hotel for a minibreak due to it being on the tramline from the airport. Disembark at the Gavinies stop, cross the road, turn right and the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk. We arrived at midnight and were warmly welcomed. The young staff spoke French and English. The bedroom was completely adequate, clean, warm, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was buffet style and did get busy one morning. Help yourself to cereal, breads, cheese, ham, croissants, pain au chocolate, pancakes, preserves, yogurt, fruit, hot drinks, fresh orange juice, etc. There did seem to be issues with having enough cutlery and one of the drink machines not working at times. The only negative point was the location. Although quiet and on the tramline there were hardly any bars or restaurants in the area and the hotel restaurant closed at weekends. We had to resort to McDonalds, a 10 minute walk away, one day!

Hotel was basic but we didn’t expect any more. It was clean and comfortable and staff at reception were helpful. We went for New Year and price was very reasonable. There was a restaurant attached to the hotel but we didn’t use this. Hotel was a two minute walk from the nearest tram stop which took about 5 minutes to get to the centre of Bordeaux. The trams were frequent and started early and finished late. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros:
Breakfast was fairly decent with basic options. There were a lot of packaged options to ensure less infection.
Cons:
I have always been loyal to the Ibis chain, but after this experience, I am considering looking elsewhere for my accommodation. To begin with, the hotel is located in a remote area far from the life of the city. While this is excusable, we arrived and were promptly told the air conditioning is not working, and we would be given fans instead. With an outside temperature of 40° this made the entire stay terribly uncomfortable. On being questioned, the receptionist gave us a rude reply indicating that he was uncomfortable in the heat too, despite that not being my problem. If the AC was switched off for some Covid-19 precautions, I'd like to have been informed that at the time of booking, since I paid for an air conditioned room and did not receive that. Furthermore, the bathroom was very small and the sink was clogging too. Breakfast had less options than usual, I suppose this is to maintain hygiene during this time, however cutlery was dirty and tables were not cleaned quickly enough. All in all, the worst Ibis I have stayed at, I found myself spending longer hours in the scorching heat to simply avoid returning to the room.

I booked in and went to my room it clearly hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupant. I went back to reception to tell them the lady just said “oh” and went to get me another key. No apologies. On entering the new room it was like a sauna I went to reception again and was told the air conditioning is broken, there was a tiny fan in the room which did nothing. We had to sleep with the windows open which was noisy. The breakfast was terrible a few pieces of ham and cheese on a plate and a few other items.

We booked a room from October 2nd to 5th at this hotel. EasyJet canceled the flight and we asked the hotel to postpone the stay or a voucher to arrange another date. They were uncompromising and arrogant and did not allow for a new appointment. At a time of pandemic it is unacceptable. I will never again mark this hotel

We stayed for one night and chose the hotel because of its convenient location, on the tram line for the airport, 15 min walk into centre of Bordeaux. Staff were friendly and polite, room was fine for 3 adults, clean and very comfy beds. Breakfast was really good value and there was a great selection. Would def stay again. Much quieter and better value than staying in the centre of the city.

Great hotel if you find yours lad in Bordeaux for work and if you also need access to the tram and to the airport. There’s a nice pool and good food. A little bit away from the city centre but there is access via tram or via taxi- we used an Uber and it was easy

Didn’t really like this hotel . The double room was tiny, very basic and hot. No T&C facilities. Bathroom also tiny with an inaccessible bath/shower. Needed a good clean. Breakfast simple but okay but only one hot drinks machine working for everyone was a pain. Parking was okay and WiFi was good. I personally would not stay again.

Modern, clean with comfy beds. The photos show the rooms to be larger than what I remember. Tight reception area but adequate. Good breakfast the next morning to get you started. The 'Styles' brand of Ibis seems to be just a little bit better than the regular Ibis. All good.
