This hotel boasts an unsurpassed location - around the corner from the Tourist Information Office, Tram Station, and beautiful riverside restaurants and parks. It's ideal for accessing the historic center of Bordeaux which exudes all the charm of past centuries.

The rooms have all the essentials, inc. coffee maker, fridge, comfortable beds, A/C, and news channels in English. Full patio doors overlook the quiet street. A buffet breakfast is available for 15 euro/person.

'Majestic' as a name is slightly exaggerated for this hotel, located in a rather modest 18th century building. But the place couldn't be more central and convenient, in a small side street between the Grand Théâtre and the Place des Quinconces with its central tram station.

We had booked a superior room, which was located on the 4th, thus the top floor, and facing a little courtyard, so it was very quiet day and night. The room was rather small, but all was conveniently arranged, so that we could still store our belongings. The bed was very comfortable.

The bathroom was good too, with enough space by the washbasin and with toiletries 'Apothicals by Damana' from the French hotel amenities provider Groupe GM. The shower functioned very well, something which could not be said for the WiFi, maybe the weakest point for us at this hotel.

At breakfast there was a good choice of items at the buffet, also the possibility to boil one's own egg. As so often in France coffee or tea were brought to the table. A special compliment must go to the very friendly and helpful staff at reception.

Nice hotel in a great location for visiting the sites. Also very close to a tram stop for when getting to and from the main line train station/airport. Easy efficient check-in with a city map being provided on request with advice on sites to visit. All safety measures in place for dealing with Covid-19 so felt very safe. Good size room with tea/coffee making facilities however my only comment was by having a "music" theme as they are close to the opera house did make the decor a little dark with lots of brown furnishings and paintwork. Didn't take food or drink at the hotel so cannot comment on this.

Newly constructed Hôtel Majestic, is clean, fresh and centrally located. The hotel is close to a tram stop, and within walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops and the beautiful sights of Bordeaux. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with the air conditioning which was promptly resolved. The coffee machine in the room was great, with endless refills of water in decanters from the water machine in the hotel bar more environmentally friendly that plastic water bottles. The room, although comfortable was a little cramped. Space for clothes and luggage was very minimal. Our room was on the first floor, so noise from above was disruptive at times as well as fire doors slamming caused a very noticeable reverb in the room. The smart TV was great to relax with after a long day exploring the city as devices can be connected making watching favourite shows easy. Breakfast was expensive so we opted out as the hotel is close to many a boulangerie and crêperie to enjoy a fresh french breakfast more reasonably priced. Overall, a pleasant stay, but a bit overpriced.

Dear Melanie F, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay at the Hotel Majestic Bordeaux. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay, except maybe the size of your room. You were staying in one of our Standard Rooms, which are our smallest rooms (16m2). For 2 people and for greater comfort, we usually recommend our Superior Rooms, which are more spacious (about 19m2). We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon. Yours sincerely. The location is ideal, literally around the corner from the grande theatre and the main shopping street and very easily found (two minutes walk) from the Quinconces tram stop. We were delighted with our room which was spacious and very recently and delightfully refurbished. Gorgeous bathroom and a beautiful view out of a lovely window and a special mention for the quietest and most effective air conditioning that we've ever had. The blind/curtains combo gave an effective blackout, resulting in great sleep conditions. We didn't avail of breakfast but were pleased with the provision of filtered water (still and sparkling) and tea/coffee (all free) in the lobby. Reception staff also very friendly and efficient. If we return to Bordeaux, it'll be the Majestic for sure.

We were delighted with our stay at this hotel. Location was great - 2 minute stroll to the Grand Theatre and tram stops, and a short stroll to the river with numerous restaurants and attractions near by. Our room was a decent size (often not the case in French cities) with clean and bright en-suite. Bed was huge and really comfortable. We made good use of the fridge and the air-con was particularly welcome, and very easy to use. Rooms were very well serviced each day. Whilst we were staying room-only I can’t comment on the restaurant. Free tea and coffee was available adjacent to the checkin area. I have to add that the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and eager to help with restaurant reservations and advice generally. Would definitely stay here again.

I would like to start this review by saying how friendly all the staff were. That was my biggest positive takeaway of our stay was the staff. However, everything else just felt fine. It was a good location and close to the tram and tourist info point (good if you are doing a day trip as this is often pick up/drop off). The hotel itself needs a refresh. Our room was fine but small for two people. The bed was comfy but again on the small side. There is limited lighting in the hallway so it's not easy to see trying to get to your room. We didn't book with breakfast and having looked at it, it was absolutely not worth the £15pp per day. The hotel was expensive for how small and dated it was, but a reasonable price for Bordeaux.

We stayed in the apartment room 501 for 4 nights. It’s in a very good location for local transportation, designated Unesco world heritage sites.
The room is so quiet & comfortable. It has a kitchenette with dining table. It is well equipped.
The breakfast is quite limited. The coffee was tepid inspite of my request for replacement.
However the staff were pleasant & attentive.
I would specially congratulate Alexander who was in reception. He was so helpful &
knowledgeable. He has great interpersonal skills.

My husband hurt his back during our stay in Bordeaux so we had an unexpected 5 day stay at the hotel. They were outstanding in helping me figure out how to look for a dr, providing ice for his ice bag, and generally being sympathetic. The staff is fabulous.

The hotel is perfectly located -near the river, Rue St. Catherine, the opera. Walking distance to everything.

It seemed like they were in the process of refurbishing, but our room and the common spaces were nice.

We would definitely stay again- and thank them for all their help.

My wife and I are just completing 2 nights at the Hotel Majestic prior to boarding a cruise. This hotel is outstanding with the staff being exceptionally friendly and courteous. The room itself was very clean and was perfect for our needs . Must rooms in France are small and whilst this is by Australian standards it did not feel that small . The hotel completed renovations in April and everything is nice and new with bathroom facilities great and bed large and comfortable.
I would highly recommend this hotel and if we ever make it back to Bordeaux I would have no hesitation in staying here .
Truly outstanding place.
